Avatar f tn I am trying to locate the exact area of my husband's brain tumor (diagnosed oligodendroglioma grade 2 at age 55 in 2006). The last MRI report says heterogeneously enhancing lesion within the left insula, ...slight increase in T2/FLAIR signal abnormality concistent with vasogenic edema now with extension into the mid frontal gyrus and effacing the adjacent sulcus. Could you explain what this means and tell me where the lopcation is, possibly direct me to a diagram that will show me more?
Avatar f tn Whether he isn't committing because he might still want to get back with the ex or whether is he isn't committing because of other reasons.......who knows. Perhaps he thinks living with you is enough of a commitment at this time. He did mention he is not in a financial position to marry you and be able to take care of you, but he is in a financial position to "live" with you? I would recommend you stand by your conviction, i.e.

Avatar m tn or that neurofibromatosis can become very involved and one needs a good commitment from your primary Doctor to keep up monitoring. Each person afflicted with this is different. Some have limited affliction, others have extensive. Sometimes it is progressisve. I have the progressive, and they don't know what to do at this stage.

6990909 tn?1435275816 Some things work awhile, then I have to move to the next level. Each time I have to change my program it is just above my comfort zone. If I get to comfortable, I may stop growing. Sharing this shows your commitment, we'll be waiting for a report. Kids do make a huge impact on recovery, both making it obviously worth it and extremely difficult. My kids were jealous of AA at one time. My kids have seen a difference in me and in turn, a better life and environment for them.
183202 tn?1219853659 My take on his side of it: he's comfortable having you around, possibly until the "right one" comes along. It's not impossible to really care about somebody and enjoy being with them, but know that they're not who your want to be with long-term. However his mixed messages are an unappreciated recipe for a mindfu*k. Stick with your guns: you're in it for the long-term and he's not. This isn't going to work.
1710121 tn?1326476935 I just need that commitment and care and I do not feel as if with him I will ever get that. I am worried and am ready to give up.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend & I were dating for 7 months. He was affectionate, generous, expressive. We had amazing chemistry. We had great conversations. We went on romantic trips. I met his family on a couple of occasions (incl Thanksgiving). All my friends who saw us together were convinced he was crazy about me. From the beginning he said I was "the full package". But 7 months into it, he had not said I love you. Finally I pushed the topic and asked how he felt.
Avatar f tn If yes, do you think there is a certain way to find out how someone will decide to have commitment for us?(marriage or other forms of commitment) I guess that it's not predictable. But it can be justifiable and explained why someone has decided to have commitment to his love who is obviously only one of the people he have had intimacy and passion with. Can we predict it and by preparing the required items - that we must derive from our relationship with our beloved one- be sure about it?

Avatar m tn Sounds "commitment phobe-ish" to me.
Avatar f tn I would say it's high time for an ultimatum, in spite of the house (that will be a problem, but not your LIFE). AND it's time to think about whether or not you really want this man to father your children. If he commits, and you become parents, will he share the work equally? Will he happily support and be involved with family life? If these answers are no, then you know what must be done. Don't take second best when it comes to your life and how you spend it.
Avatar f tn If you guys are desperate take her to the ER and have her say she is suicidal and by law they have to keep her and commit her to a psych ward where she will see a psychiatrist who will then help her to detox. Let me know your location and I'll find you the help in that area that you need. I've been dealing with things such as this for over 30 years and I would love to help. In the meantime,if you have access to a mild opiate, give it to her for the wd.
Avatar n tn m not allowed to join him at his oncology appointments, and because he has refused to sign a release of medical information, the care staff can only listen to my observations and concerns. My husband also refuses to talk about the cancer, period. I need help.
894574 tn?1256541496 I just wanted to let you know that I admire your honesty. I can relate to some of the things on your list. I am not in therapy or on medication at this time. For now I am taking it one day at a time. Keep us posted. I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn His behavior and mannerism are very unusual and difficult to explain at times. I feel the only way to explain is to video/audio tape his days. My husband also suffers from “seizures” and has been on four different (high and low doses) of seizure medicine (and up to 60mg of Phenobarbital at times) to control his simple partial, simple sensory, and/or complex partial seizures. Yes, that is the diagnosis. Apparently one leads/progresses to the next.
Avatar f tn My experience was with Schering-Plough’s (Merck’s) Commitment to Care program, Trish. I had insurance, but couldn’t manage the copay. They covered 100% of costs; and even provided off-label dosing of the ribavirin. I’d receive monthly cold packs of drugs from their contract pharmacy from FedEx; it was a wonderful service. Thinking of treating again :o)?
