taking lamictal and zoloft together

In the meantime, I started taking Lamictal 25 mg. My question is, will Lamictal help with the hyper state that Zoloft put me in (racing thoughts) and how long does it take. I have finished my first week and feel the same, except my jumping leg has subsided (probably from discontinuing the Zoloft). It seems Lamictal is good for depression, but I am afraid it will have the same effect Zoloft did on me. P.S.

i started taking zoloft 100 mg 2 times a day and xanax 1 mg 3 times a day and its making me black to the point i stole something and did not come out of it till i was sitting in a holding sell in hand cuffs what does this mean ?

I am currently taking Zoloft and Lamictal (and Trazadone for sleep at night), but I'm feeling like the only way out of the bind I am in is to actually *be* a little manic. (I haven't had a manic episode in a long time - actually, I was only ever hypomanic.) I have had a hopeless feeling and I don't actually think it's depression - I think it's real, and I am wondering about the potential to get *more* depressed if I go off Lamictal, or if it shouldn't matter.

Seemed like I stayed up forever last night ( took my 1st dose last night) Also is it okay to take my zoloft and lactimal together?? Thank you for any input.

ve read about brain shivers upon withdrawal from zoloft but currently experience brain shivers whilst taking zoloft. I take the zoloft in the morning and by about 3pm or 4pm begin getting the electric shocks in my brain. I used to get this only if i missed a dose but they are quite regular now and i am consistent with taking my meds. Do you know why this would happen? My doctors do not recognise these brain shivers.

I had an allergic reaction to zoloft about a week ago and it amped up my anxiety. So ive been taking .5mg lorazepams when needed. I used to be on 150mg bupropion but stopped when i got pregnant. Anyways Im scared now to take them both at the same time. I have post pardum depression and ive been exercising to help but its not fully helping. Any thoughts? The Zoloft reaction was the worse thing ive ever experienced with medicine. Severe hot flushes for over 24 hours.

After taking Wellbutrin 150mg 2x daily and my Zoloft 100mg together fro the first time I woke disoriented and dizzy Just was wondering if I should of started the wellbutrin one a day to get used to it.

Hello I've been taking Lamictal and buspar for about a year and had decent results from it. I still have a lot of racing thoughts, still contemplate suicide and hate my life but I started getting functional again.. especially with the help of klonipin. I recently went through a break up and just fell apart. The lamictal couldnt get me out of it. I started getting terrible diarrhea from the lamictal and I figured it was a good time to try lithium which Ive heard is stronger.

Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.

Do your own research, but apparently you can take both together. I have taken Wellbutrin and my husband does for bipolar (him) and we did not gain wt. on it. It just did not work for me, so I switched to Lexapro. It helped me in less than a week. I have been on it for several years and actually lost wt. while on it. I was actively trying to lose wt. and had no problems doing it while taking the Lexapro.

I started out taking Zoloft but it made me much more manic which is how the bi polar diagnosis was made. In addition to the racing thoughts, extreme anxiety I am also severely depressed to the point I am not functioning well. Before the Latuda I was on Zyprexa which made me suicidal. My question is could the Latuda be contributing to the racing thoughts?

I wish your daughter well, I too am on Keppra 375mg twice daily and have started lamictal 50mg per day. I am also very irritable and tired. My doc wants to wean me off Keppra and slowly increase my lamictal. Luckily I have not had a reaction this far with it but its only been two weeks. He wants to switch due to the irritability from Keppra. I was taking Wellbutrin for depression but am not any longer, did feel I need it haha.

went to his GP and got zoloft. after 2 months he knows it isnt working. he just asked me today to read about lamictal and she what i could find out so here i am.i think he is feeling so bad he is ready to give it a try. is anyone taking it? what has been your experience? thank you so much.

Is anyone taking both Depakote, Lamictal and Geodon? I feel very unemotional and blah still, and my doctor doesn't know what to do. I'm sort of at my last resort with this. I was under the impression that Depakote and Lamictal do the same thing, so why would I be on both when it's not helping? Any answers would be appreciated.

I take Lamictal and zoloft together. I recently had to take a drug test and I tested positive for pcp. Do you think one of the drugs or two of the drugs together could have made me test positive for PCP. I don't take any other drugs, including recreational drugs, at this time.

now i go this friday..im taking the lamictal with me..if im just hypo manic and depressed this should help me..when i took lithiem it did great for me..so im the only one who knows what im going threw a pdoc these days are much, much difft then in the past 20 yrs or more..physiologist are the diagnoses..a pdoc is more into knowing the meds..i have this strong feeling hes going to put me on another benzo like klonpin witch i took them for 12 yrs prior to the xanax...

Bipolar is a disorder that requires constant changing of medications and/or monitoring. So I see doctors fairly often for it. I was first started on lamictal. I was already on zoloft. I also have an antianxiety medication to help with the mania and to help me to relax. I take it every day. The problem that I am having now is when the mood stablizer was taken away (due to intolerance to the medication), I have not been sleeping. I took ambien in the past, but I hallucinated with it.

for Abilify. Right now im taking 100mgs of zoloft, and .05mgs of lorazepham. Been on those meds for 2 months now and while im not having as much panick attacks, its still there and im having trouble sleeping. I was on Lamictal and Wellbutrin at that time. I stopped the Lamictal abruptly (I know, big no no) and started taking Wellbutrin right after. On the fourth day of taking the Wellbutrin, I started experienced violent jerking movements as I was trying to fall asleep. I didn’t sleep at all for three nights. Finally I went to the pcp and she prescribed Restoril for the time being. That helped, but I was afraid since it’s an addictive drug, so after about four weeks, I weaned myself off.

I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and bi polar nos.. the psych gave me lamictal and celexa but I was having alot of medical problems and I thought it was the lamictal so i quit taking it. But it wasn't. And was just taking the celexa but I was gaining alot of weight , and I allready have issues with weight. I always think I can go off pills and that I don't need them, and then someone can say something that irritates me, and I get so pissed.

I have medication and eating concerns. I've gained 10 pounds in 3 months, eating candy bars and Ben and Jerry's icecream every night. I also have high cholesterol and triglycerides. I was stress eating, because I moved across country to a new state. I'm trying to break the habit and become a vegan. But, I ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's again tonight. My dad, uncle and aunt are now all vegans. They are suggesting this as an option for me. I want to try it.

A few weeks ago, she had a seizure-like episode at work. She was talking to a co-worker, and the co-worker said that Lindsey look like she was in a daze, then stiffened up & started posturing and then she fell. After falling, she hit her head and had to get 2 staples. She was unconscious before she fell and has no recollection of the episode.
