Other medications are metformin 500mg twice daily, Lisinopril 40mg(morning), Trazodone 50. Recently I take tadalafil 10mg and my blood sugar goes very low. I also tried 2.5mg daily at night, again my blood sugar goes very low. I wear a freestyle libre patch. What medications are interacts with tadalafil? Is Viagra will be safe for me?

My Daughter was dx with Interstitial Cystitis when she was 26. (she is now 35) She doesn't have MS. Still not much is known about this disease. She was lucky enough to see the DR who discovered IC. Urologists usually don't treat IC (believe it or not) It is 'believed' it is an autoimmune disease. My poor daughter is in constant pain, burning, frequency....She takes a drug called Elmeron (spelling) but is VERY expensive.

Elmiron does not work for everyone, actually the rate is about 35%. My hub has severe IC and Elmiron did nothing for him. We follow the diet religiously, and have for years, even tho he is still in pretty constant pain, even with max pain meds. IC is now classified as a disability factor with SS. You may have a mild case of IC, she may be worse than you.

t know where to post this question, someone knows if pde5 inhibitors and specifically tadalafil (cialis) are reversible enzyme inhibitors? and can you explain why from a chemical and pharmacological point of view? So, is the inhibition reversible or irreversible and why? I know it is not an easy question but I can't find on the internet this answer.

I went yesterday to have thepotassium test and they told me I might possibly have IC even though I only mildly felt pain from the solution being injected into my bladder. The past 8 months I have been nauseous, pain in left lower abdomen (burning, throbbing), dizzy, headaches, frequent urination, frequent UTI's (although only comes back with white blood cells in urine and I do not respond to antibiotics), fullness feeling in abdomen, fatigue, and extreme thirst.

I have IC and I treat mine two ways-- I stay away from foods that trigger it-- for me it is not the typical I actually cannot have the foods that they say should not cause a reaction-- such as pears. I also minimize my amount of citris and citric acid. I also cannot not drink apple or orange juice (I am sure it also goes for grapefruit but since I do not like it, I will never know.) Also I know being gluten free helps because IC is autoimmune.

t think it was prostatitis but maybe IC. Now I have 9 docs saying prostate issue and 1 saying potential bladder issue. My urology appointment isn't for another week. I started the Flomax and it has helped a bit. The symptoms now: Urgency and frequency, no pain, 6-7 voids per day, none at night. when stimulated sexually pain between the legs/rectum that feels like the prostate. Sometimes some sensitivity in the testicles but no pain. during now is about a week. Not sure what it is.

Do think there will ever be a cure for IC? I don't know about how it is now. But when I was DX it was very hard, are dr's more senstive to IC now?

Hi, I have seen no data on wemen with IC having an increased incidence of miscarriages. Obviously, any women can have a miscarriage, and any women can have IC, that doesn't mean one caused the other. Because both problems involve different organs (uterus vrs bladder) its hard to postulate a cause and effect. Most patients do very well during pregnancy with IC and find that their symptoms dramatically improve. The reasons are unclear. Check the ICA website: ichelp.

Hi, I sincerely feel that you should consult a urologist for the same if the oral medications are not able to treat the ED. I hope you have tadalafil also apart from sildenafil. The next step is usually papaverine injection but needs to be given by an expert only. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

HI, I am not a physician, however I am an IC patient and an IC support group leader here in Missouri. IC can and often is misdiagnosed as prostititus, there was an article on that recently on the IC-Network. What events lead to the development of IC is a hotly debated topic. However, if you are both having symptoms, being treated for a chronic infection makes sense first. It is very likely a chronic infection.

I was not having any urological problems till now exept ED which started since last 9-10 months. My doc prescribed me with peroxitene and tadalafil for ED and I completed the medication 5 days back. Now I need to urinate atleast 10-12 times a day even after drinking much less amount of water(only 1-1.5ltr/day). Till I feel the pressure of urinating so severely that sometimes I lost controll of holding before actually urinate. I am feeling helpless. Please help me get out of this situation.
