I went to the doctor and they gave me some antibiotics in carmex and told me to use that for what they think is cold sore disease. I did use the medication but it seem to work for the swelling and blisters only. It work a little on my dry, peeling rashy skin around the mouth. After i was done with the medication, the next day i got my swollen, bistering lips back. Can you help me?

I apply it twice a day . She has been on this medication for over 2 years and her eyes are not doing or looking any better. She now has a spot on her eye that is cloudy so I have stopped using the medication until I can see Vet. This is the second time she has had a spot come on the eye. I am using the medication the Vet gave me the last time she had the spot on her eye and it is Neomycin and Polymyxin ointment.
HHH, I posted a question several months ago about my use of topical Elidal and test results. I have been using this medication for years now on a small area of my face. I was OK with my test results until I read that Elidel was chemically similiar to tacrolimus a calcineurin inhibitor that is used in transplant patients. I test orally via the OraQuick test 3,4,5, and 8 months out. All negative. I also had a 6 month blood EIA test done through Quest labs with a non-reactive result.
i would be extremely cautious about using it until more data is available especially since its purported effects on tacrolimus and cyclosporine metabolism are extreme. i am quite confident that there will be clinical trials coming down the road extremely soon.

Treatment is by topical steroids or oral therapy of corticosteroids in severe cases. Topical creams like tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) and pimecrolimus cream (Elidel) are also useful.

(just fresh water wash) THe doctor then prescribed oral Adoxa, Ketoconazole and and it helped for just the duration of medication course. Again i was given injections of lonacart but it did not help. He has again prescribed me with stronger steroid BETASALIC which is also loosing its effect now. my eczema is spreading faster than ever and I am worried if it will continue to cover my whole face and if i will ever get rid of it?
