Avatar f tn Hello, About a month ago I noticed red bumps on the side of my scrotum and they also started to appear in my inner thigh as well. I used hydrocortisone cream and it the bumps seemed to get better but what I'm left with now is my entire scrotum and penis are red and a bit sensitive to touch. It's not alot of pain and no itching at all and I have no raised bumps or rash. The skin has just turned red.
Avatar m tn The Triamcinolone cream, actually would potentially make that worse. Tacrolimus is more for an eczema rash- so it might be that you need to be checked for a fungal infection instead. Head back to the doctor, and let them know that it's not working- hope you feel better soon!

Avatar m tn Thank you - This week I have been using only a homeopathic topical cream called Florasone Cream - Cardiospermum tincture 10% and washing mildly with tepid to cool water with a wash cloth. It has subdued a bit and if it doesn't clear completely then my next course will be the cortisone. Again thank you.

Avatar f tn Hi When topical corticosteroids do not provide relief, sometimes more the doctor may consider prescribing some more potent corticosteroids for some period, in adults with may be needed for adults with eczema on the scalp, limbs, and trunk or those with chronic/ lichenified eczema. Newer two topical eczema drugs like pimecrolimus (Elidel Cream) and tacrolimus (Protopic Ointment) are reserved only for cases where corticosteroids have not been effective.

Avatar f tn I went to the pharmacy. The pharmacist said it was cold sores, and recommend me the Zovirax cream. I used it for a few days and the the painful feeling was somewhat suppressed. However, after stopping using the cream, my lips were cracked and dry and tingling. I tried different lip balms, such as Carmex and Burt's Bee, to heal them, but then the burning and itchiness came back! I then start taking lypsine and applying the zovirax cream.
