Avatar m tn Dear Sir, Tac level is in the range of 4-4.5 and sirolimus dose is 1mg OD(sirolimus is not being increased, because TLC gone down to 3400 after Sirolimus has been introduced). Do you suggest for further reduction of tacrolimus(present dose is 2mg BD)?
Avatar m tn t be a first choice. She recommended a mix of tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said sirolimus is new. I have not been able to find anything about this drug on the internet. Also, it's $95! Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone whose pup responded to cyclosporine after not responding to tacro?
Avatar f tn I was initially taking Tacrolimus and then I was switched to Sirolimus. I cannot remember why my immunosuppressive was changed but Sirolimus was pretty new then and maybe my surgeon wanted to try it and see how I did. I wasn't very fond of it as I recall. It came in small packets and was an oily solution. It's been a while but I do remember that. I probably mentioned this to my surgeon and that could be the reason that he switched me back.
Avatar f tn I am very fit workout every day. 1mg of sirolimus and 2mg of tacrolimus is all I take.
446474 tn?1446347682 I have been told that once the Zortress blood level becomes stable I will be stopping my 720mg of Myfortic and remain on 4mg of Tacrolimus and 5mg of Prednisone. I was told that I am taking Zortress because of its anti-cancer properties since I have a very high risk of HCC recurrence due to my pre-transplant AFP numbers. It is a PI3K/Akt/mTOR inhibitor, that targets hepatocarcinogenesis.
Avatar n tn My opth has diagnosed me with blepharitis, I use sterilid w/ compresses and take flaxseed oil, and I also use preservative free eyedrops for moisture. However nothing has worked to my satisfaction besides tobradex which I've used for about a year and half- my eyelid inflammation is pretty severe even with the other treatments, however w/ tobradex my symptoms are almost nonexistent.
Avatar f tn The treatments of this condition are application of topical corticosteroids (betamethasone, clobatesol, flucinolone) which will reduce the inflammatory process. Topical immunomodulators like pimecrolimus and tacrolimus can be used in severe conditions. I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
461838 tn?1255790216 OLT recipients with HCV were randomized to receive tacrolimus+daclizumab (steroid-free) vs. tacrolimus+corticosteroids during 1999-2001 and then tacrolimus+mycophenolate mofetil (MMF)+daclizumab (steroid-free) vs. tacrolimus+MMF+corticosteroids during 2002-2005. Patients in the steroid-free arm of both periods received no steroids except for treating biopsy-proven rejection.
Avatar f tn Does Prograf cause tremors? And...can these tremors be contributing to making a person feel tired and exhausted???
Avatar n tn I lost my insurance after 13 years post-transplant.

Avatar f tn This one looks interesting and not too hard to read https://www.iodine.
Avatar m tn i would be extremely cautious about using it until more data is available especially since its purported effects on tacrolimus and cyclosporine metabolism are extreme. i am quite confident that there will be clinical trials coming down the road extremely soon.
Avatar m tn Antihistaminics, topical steroids, PUVA therapy, retinoic acid and tacrolimus are the available treatment options for lichen planus. It is best to clarify your doubts by your dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards!
Avatar f tn My tacrolimus level is 4.2 after 4 months of liver transplant, Is it dangerous? what should i do?
Avatar m tn I am taking Tacrolimus 3mg and Myfortic 360mg twice a day, FK level is around 5. Am I going to take these two immunosuppressants (probably same dosages) for life or might be reducing the dosage ?
1227049 tn?1267237385 Along with topical steroids, you should use good quality moisturizers on the area. Immunomodulators like tacrolimus and Pimecrolimus are not without side effects and should be used after a dermatologist’s prescription. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may need to be prescribed.
Avatar f tn Can tacrolimus eye drops and Cyclosporine ointment cause cancer in dogs? My precious dog, baby and best friend was diagnosed just last week with Transitional Cell Carcinoma in his bladder. It is a rapid growing cancer. I am completely heartbroken and am wondering if there was something I could've done to prevent this. He has been on these two eye medications for about a year. His name is Duke and he is a beautiful tri-colored collie and is a little over 10 years old.
Avatar f tn The protocol at my institution is to stop tacrolimus on Day 1 of protease inhibitor therapy and measure tacrolimus levels 3 and 7 days later, and then adjust the dose of tacrolimus according to the level. At least in the small number of patients we have seen, a tacrolimus dose of 0.5 mg once per week is sufficient to maintain a drug level of 3–5 ng/mL.
