Avatar m tn Dear Sir, Tac level is in the range of 4-4.5 and sirolimus dose is 1mg OD(sirolimus is not being increased, because TLC gone down to 3400 after Sirolimus has been introduced). Do you suggest for further reduction of tacrolimus(present dose is 2mg BD)?
Avatar m tn t be a first choice. She recommended a mix of tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said sirolimus is new. I have not been able to find anything about this drug on the internet. Also, it's $95! Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone whose pup responded to cyclosporine after not responding to tacro?
Avatar f tn I was initially taking Tacrolimus and then I was switched to Sirolimus. I cannot remember why my immunosuppressive was changed but Sirolimus was pretty new then and maybe my surgeon wanted to try it and see how I did. I wasn't very fond of it as I recall. It came in small packets and was an oily solution. It's been a while but I do remember that. I probably mentioned this to my surgeon and that could be the reason that he switched me back.
Avatar f tn I am very fit workout every day. 1mg of sirolimus and 2mg of tacrolimus is all I take.
446474 tn?1446347682 I have been told that once the Zortress blood level becomes stable I will be stopping my 720mg of Myfortic and remain on 4mg of Tacrolimus and 5mg of Prednisone. I was told that I am taking Zortress because of its anti-cancer properties since I have a very high risk of HCC recurrence due to my pre-transplant AFP numbers. It is a PI3K/Akt/mTOR inhibitor, that targets hepatocarcinogenesis.

461838 tn?1255790216 OLT recipients with HCV were randomized to receive tacrolimus+daclizumab (steroid-free) vs. tacrolimus+corticosteroids during 1999-2001 and then tacrolimus+mycophenolate mofetil (MMF)+daclizumab (steroid-free) vs. tacrolimus+MMF+corticosteroids during 2002-2005. Patients in the steroid-free arm of both periods received no steroids except for treating biopsy-proven rejection.
Avatar f tn I find by eating a lot of fresh veggies, both raw and cooked, along w small amounts of protein (occasional favorite desserts and junk food to) I can walk the fine line between diarrhea and excessive water retention. I find exercise to be crucial as well as some form of stretching, yoga, tai chi, whatever it may be also important. This is pretty normal stuff for a healthy normal body but for us Transplantees because we are always in an inflammatory state, it is crucial for longevity.
Avatar n tn My opth has diagnosed me with blepharitis, I use sterilid w/ compresses and take flaxseed oil, and I also use preservative free eyedrops for moisture. However nothing has worked to my satisfaction besides tobradex which I've used for about a year and half- my eyelid inflammation is pretty severe even with the other treatments, however w/ tobradex my symptoms are almost nonexistent.
Avatar f tn Importantly, differences between subtype 1a and 1b (by far the most frequently encountered genotype 1 subtypes in clinical practice) include different efficacies of antiviral drugs and different resistance profiles to such drugs. Indeed, several HCV inhibitors appear to have selective activity against different HCV genotype 1 subtypes, both in vitro and in vivo....

Avatar n tn One medication may have been developed first and others later that are somewhat similar chemically and in the same chemical family but they may be completely different medications. I take Methocarb and that is prescribed for me to control dystonic spasms. It is an anti spasmodic. Meprobamate is an anti anxiety medication. Any of these medications can be prescribed for other purposes as determined by a doctor or psychiatrist or other treating professional.
Avatar f tn I tried similac and it didnt sit well with them. I know a lot of moms who used similac and were good with it.

15290316 tn?1447023108 This is a topic that comes up alot on this forum....and sometimes I find it hard to see the difference in "addiction" and dependence. I, myself, am an addict and I let my disease of addiction run my life for many years. I am now a bit over 19 months clean, and am very grateful for what I am and where I am. Here's my trouble with the two.....I know many addicts that "claim" that their pain is so unbearable, that can't be without the pills.

582508 tn?1219251119 I was recently diagnosed with a PFO as well as an ASA with right to left shunting.. I'm just wondering what the difference is between the two.. From what I've read they seem pretty similar, is that correct?? I was told to take a baby aspirin a day and to come back every two to three year for echos. BTW, I also have a bicuspid aortic valve that was found at the same time as the PFO and ASA.
