I have chronic eosynophilic pneumonia- under control--until the last few days. I had my FERSENRA shot today, & have never had a problem w/it. I am extremely (for me) SOB. I use SYMBICORT breather PRN.
I am a 29 year old female, never smoked, healthy weight and beside breathing and anxiety issues healthy.
CHEST PAIN, bending over coughing is a symptoms of a few LIFE THREATENING CONDITIONS. CORONARY, PNEUMONIA, PULMONARY, how long, where is pain, what does it feel like? Your chest feeling heavy, short of breath? Non productive cough? (dry hacking cough) Temp? Feeling bad? How are sinuses? Facial pressure pain also? Please describe your condition, I would have to be Nostradamus to know what is ailing you with the minimal description you provided.
In looking at the drug interaction information, it seems that those who are taking the corticosteriods, are even more at risk for muscle rupture and more at risk for developing pneumonia. A chest x-ray a couple of days ago confirmed that I do NOT have pneumonia now, but I can still hear sounds in my lungs when I do deep breathing.
I got better for 2 days, then spiked a fever and got sick all over again with pneumonia (confirmed with chest xray). I was given a breathing treatment and put on doxycycline, which made me very sick to my stomach. I was switched to Omnicef and Symbicort and take Zofran as needed for nausea, and tolerate those fine. I've been on antibiotics since last Weds 10/28. I started feeling a little better and my fever went down on Fri.
I use Symbicort for my asthma, too. I don't have high blood pressure, so I've never had a reason to monitor my blood pressure, but I looked up the side-effects of Symbicort and it says changes in blood pressure can occur. There was also a warning to use caution in patients who have severe high blood pressure. As far as I can tell, there are no known interactions between Symbicort and blood pressure medicines.
For the past 3 years I've had a cough that will not go away. I saw my doctor, and was tested positive for asthma. I was prescribed Advair and a rescue inhaler. None of it worked. I coughed all day long until I vomited. Mainly when I cough I produce large amounts of mucus. I went to another doctor after my previous doctor relocated. The new doctor agreed that I had asthma and prescribed Singular and Symbicort. Again, I saw no results but my doctor insisted that I stayed with the treatment.
Has your environment been checked for fungus. Look for black walls, condensation on/around windows, etc. Whatever the cause, you must strengthen your immune system above all. You are constipated because of all the steroids and other drugs you are taking. Try to sleep proped-up with several pillows. Use an inhaler for emergency.
I have COPD. I got a cold and it was on it's way to turning into pneumonia. I went to the doctor. I was given some kind of antibiotic shot in the butt, and then sent home with three doses (days) of Azithromycin (500 mg per dose). I was also put on blood pressure medication for the first time. It is Lisinopril, 10 mg in the morning and evening. Other than this I take Spiriva once a day and use albuterol by nebulizer. I also take many supplements every day.
Hi! I originally went to the ER in June diagnosed with pneumonia/bronchitis. I have been on and off a surplus of antibiotics and prednisone. I have shortness of breath and pain in the lung/ back area. I am on spiriva, symbicort, ventolin, levalbuteral, and 800 ibuprofen. This has been going on for 5 months. X- ray was clear two months ago. All blood labs and cultures clear. My doctors do not know what to do for me? I'm constantly tired and in pain and short of breath.
This pregnancy, my asthma has flared up for weeks and has gone from moderately severe to severe. I just saw my pulmonologist for the first time today, and he prescribed me Symbicort, which is safe and I was not at all concerned about. I now have monthly appts with him to monitor my asthma throughout my pregnancy.
My question is: Did an increase in severity of your asthma cause you to become high risk?
Symbicort does not cause "soaring" blood sugars. Consult your enchronologist. You may need to go to an injectable insulin, such as Lantus.

I am already taking Symbicot 2 x daily and ventolin but it's not helping, I'm not wheezing with my Asthma I'm getting this horrible chest pain, and pain at the top of my back/shoulders and nexk, this has got worse this afternoon, I am getting fed up of going back and for the hospital as my bloods are ok, white cells are up but that may be because of the antibiotics and steroids im taking, I have had 3 chest xrays the 01st one showed that I had pneumonia in Sept, and the 02nd, bu

I have been taking symbicort for about 8 months and in that time i notice that my weight has gone up by around 1 stone (14llbs), i have never been overweight and have always eaten healthily and taken exercise. No matther how many times i go to the gym or how much salad i eat it wont go away. None of my clothes fit me and i have gone up a bra size or two.
DO I ALSO NEED TO BE TAKING SYMBICORT OR ADVAIR? WHAT CAN I DO TO TRY TO MANAGE MY COPD BESIDES QUIT SMOKING WHICH I HAVE CUT DOWN TO A HALF A PACK A DAY. WHICH IS ALL THAT I CAN ACCOMPLISH NOW. WHAT CAN I BE DOING TO BETTER CONTROL MY BREATHING WITH WHAT I HAVE ON HAND?
