symbicort and joint pain

will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?

hi i have severe gerd and asthma getting worse today doctor put me onzantac prilosec ventalin and symbicort the divorcesymbicort felt like it froze my lungs when inhaled since then breathing got worse and middle of back hurts is this other normal

So far (4 days) no change except that I am now constantly yawning as well as not being able to catch my breath...Now I awoke today to find I have extreme joint pain particularly in my knee area.Not sure if it is related but makes it very difficult to walk.Any advice would be appreciated as the only time I seem to get any relief is when I am able to fall asleep..

ve never had a reason to monitor my blood pressure, but I looked up the side-effects of Symbicort and it says changes in blood pressure can occur. There was also a warning to use caution in patients who have severe high blood pressure. As far as I can tell, there are no known interactions between Symbicort and blood pressure medicines. If you're concerned about how high your blood pressure gets after taking Symbicort, I'd talk to your doctor.

I went to my Pulmonary doctor yesterday and was given more prednisone and symbicort. I have chest pain when coughing, bending and last night I was awakened by chest pain (I was sleeping on my back). I have a Loop recorder in my chest so I sent communication through to my cardiologist thinking it could be heart related. I was just hospitalized for syncope & have been having problems with dizziness, fatigue and migraines since 6/26. Can you please shed some light on what could be going on.

I have been taking symbicort for about 8 months and in that time i notice that my weight has gone up by around 1 stone (14llbs), i have never been overweight and have always eaten healthily and taken exercise. No matther how many times i go to the gym or how much salad i eat it wont go away. None of my clothes fit me and i have gone up a bra size or two.

I started a new Job in October and ever since then I have had difficulty breathing and some days I lose my voice almost totally. I have been in and out of the Dr and now using Symbicort and taking prednisone. It is wierd this only happens during the week while I am at work. Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. Is this Asthma or am I alergice to my workplace? Should I test the air quality?

I'm afraid I have no idea on this one. I'm still in the process of working things out with the specialist. She's left me on Symbicort for now and is looking into testing me for GERD. If it's that simple, I will be very happy. Her other alternative was to try 2 things. (1) I am to use the pulmicort 400 ug inhaler in conjunction with the oxeeze inhaler. These are the same two components as in the symbicort.

Aside from everything else, this medication can have serious side effects. Steroids caused me a lot of physical problems (eyes, adrenals, and more) and I had to stop taking them. And in my case it was prescribed for COPD a medication commonly used for that condition. But for high blood pressure?

It is a disorder of the nerves which causes numbness, tingling, unusual sensations and sometimes pain. Diabetes Mellitus can cause neuropathy. Other causes like vitamin deficiencies, alcohol consumption and certain medications can cause neuropathy. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. omg. thanks for mentioning symbicort. i started symbicort a while ago, and my throat clearing has gotten worse. my doctor has put me on nexium to dry up things, but i stopped taking it - just felt i didnt need it at the time. i may need to go back on the nexium or find out if the omnezaprole will work too.

I have been on acid reflux medicine it did bot get rid of the pain. I was told that the pain comes from me having asthma and I need to exercise more. So I have increased my amount of exercise it has made the pain worst and more frequent. It is a sharp pain on the left side of my chest and it also feels like someone was sitting on my chest in that area. Generally it comes when I am really exhausted and short of breath. Can you tell me something to take to ease the pain?

I have recently been prescribed symbicort, but for some reason I read that corticosteroids are more widely used? Does anyone know whether long term acting beta agonists or cortisteroids are safer long term? What is safer on the heart? Also does xanax counter effect the high blood pressure etc. associated with asthma medicines?

She said I was quite a bit lower than expected, especially for the amount of exercising I do. She gave me albuteral and symbicort (plus some hayfever meds) and asked me to use the peak flow meter. I generally have been at about 450 on the flow meter and for my size and weght (6' tall and 160 lbs) it says I should be about 650. I don't seem to see any real improvement when I use Albuteral. The Symbicort keeps me awake at night when I take the 2x spray/2x a day.

s not on any meds except for symbicort turbuhaler which she uses twice daily day and night. She woke up in the middle of last night and vomitted. She felt her heart was throbbing hard. Her BP was quite low 96 54 while her pulse was 86. Her usual pulse is usually around 60. Her temperature was normal. I have had some pain the right side of my chest,not really short of breath,that comes and goes.the pain has been there since yesterday but not noticable all the time.

In the past 16 days I have begun using Spiriva in addition to the 2 doses of Symbicort I was using daily. Although I get good (better) results from the combination than Symbicort alone, since starting the Spiriva, I am experiencing very dry mouth, and nasal passages to the extent that I occasionally experience light bleeding when I blow my nose.

The combination medications which include inhaled steroids and a long acting broncho dilater like Advair, Symbicort and Dulera are standard treatments for all forms of COPD. They are also used to treat asthma which cannot be controlled on inhaled steroids alone. Have a blessed New Year.

Finally my doctor diagnosed pneumonia and put me on antibiotics, Avamys and Symbicort. Unfortunately, either the Symbicort or the Avamyst has given me a fungal infection in the throat (and beyond ... it seems to go down quite far). This was not too unexpected as Advair gives me horrible thrush that lasts for months. My question however is, if I stop taking the Symbicort and the Avamys will the thrush go away, or should I go see my doctor to get anti-fungal stuff (i.e. Nystatin)?

I am a 32 year old male with a somewhat mild case of asthma, and I take symbicort and albutoral as medication. I hate it. I recently developed some PVCs (heart palpatations), and I would really like to use a long term asthma controller in place of the symbicort that does not have increased heart rate as a side effect. Are there any somewhat effective asthma medications (long term controller, not rescue inhaler) that do not have increased heart rate as one of the side effects?

I am wondering if his sore throat is caused by the Symbicort and what can I do for it, I am giving him throat lozenges and pop sickles. This has been going on for about 4 days now and he has been on the Symbicort since July 7th.
