Avatar f tn I am addicted to eating raw oatmeal mixed with almonds or sunflower seeds ,etc. yeah, I know, its supposed to be good for you, not to this extent. I comsume approximately a half box a day, once i get started it seems that i can't stop, even if it causes indigestion or diarrhea. I have had a cocaine addition in the past (15 years ago), as well as an alcohol addiction that lasted almost 20 yrs. Ive been clean from that for 2 years. Has any one else ever heard of such a thing?
1827931 tn?1317905317 It is not gone, but if I watch what I eat and how late I eat, it is much better than it was before the oatmeal. I still cannot say 100% that the oatmeal is what helps, but nothing else has changed in my diet. I will not even stop the oatmeal for testing purposes, if it seems to works I will stick with it. I just wanted to reduce my food intake at work. A heavy lunch was killing my comfort level while working. Then I found this side benefit. Can oatmeal really help this much?

Avatar f tn I have a mostly healthy diet with a day or two in the month where I eat junk, like popcorn and apple pie with ice cream I recently started mixing Amazing Grass Superfoods and Wheat grass in my morning smoothies. My smoothies include a helping of berries: blue, black, and strawberries with banana and grape juice. Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days.

Avatar m tn t know, but one thing you can do now is start eating superfoods. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, organic, fresh when possible, unprocessed, and eat pumpkin seeds every day. They have been shown to fight prostate cancer.
Avatar f tn For all my dear itchy mommies... Colloidal oatmeal. I've been dying of itching and hives and I finally got some Averno colloidal oatmeal bath mix. And I'm not itchy or stinging! Wow. Soooo awesome. The rash is still there but less red and, at least for a little while, no pain and itch. Try it out, hope it might help you too.

Tbd There are a variety of healthy grains such as buck wheat or wheat berry that have the same benefit as oatmeal but oatmeal is probably the easiest to make and consume. Avatar f tn choices are made bad, by cooking in too much fat, using to much sodium, etc. Again, opt for yogurt and fruit, oatmeal, veggie omelet cooked without added fat or salt, etc. If you're having toast, make it whole grain.
Avatar f tn Oatmeal is beyond healthy for you. Oatmeal is a great nutritious breakfast for you. I'm in great shape pregnant and not pregnant. Never had an issue with it. Obviously, you should have controlled portions with everything you eat.

So, will oatmeal have no bad effect on gastritits? Moreover I also noticed that egg is a common supplement for weight gainers, is egg also safe for me? Thanks.
