I have opted to skip a few days between the smoothies to see if there is a difference in my stool and yes, today, that are somewhat (minor) more consistent and compacted. HELP. Should I be worried?

I also do change my workout routine so that I won't get bored...before all this, I was losing weight fine, but since about december, I've notice it has been hard to lose weight. I know it isn't good to do, but i was wondering if I fasted for a day or two, maybe that may work kick starting my metabolism again.

I was eating 3 'normal' meals a day and 3 resourse snacks (which were high calorie condensed snacks, like ensure shakes), then when I went to bed I was hooked up to tube feeding and they had to put me on transport, meaning I couldn't walk anywhere which would burn calories, becasue I could not gain weight.

Avatar m tn However, my metabolism (observed based on calories in vs weight change as well as energy levels in response to calorie intakes to distinguish between starvation metabolism and actual calorie needs) is much higher than the standard 2000 calories — even starvation level for my metabolism is much higher than 2000 calories. The following are the nutrients that I suspect would have a higher RDI for a higher metabolism.

Panda For exercising- try googling SuperBody SuperBrain by Michael Wallace-Gonzales. You can do it at home only 10minutes per session 3x per day-- As far as metabolism-try eating coconut oil and cutting back on sugar and carbs. I need motivation too so I don't have the answer for that! But try to keep posting on here and it has been working for me for the past couple days.

My friends make fun of me for being skinny, i mean my legs look so skinny that my little brother mad fun of me which REALLY hurt my feelings. I am also nicknamed pencil because I DON'T have "curves" or "hips" and my ankles and calfs are super skinny.I hate being called that. I even get disgusted looks from people i dont no and trust me it is not because they envy me. I am really depressed.

Heavier people interestingly have higher metabolisms than smaller people do, because they require more calories over the course of a day to maintain their body's functions. I generally don't recommend supplements to increase one's metabolism, but small amounts of caffeine as well as catechins contained in green tea will boost metabolism a bit.
Avatar m tn The last couple years I have been watching myself so closely. I have noticed that hypo mania causes me to eat a lot and depressive states I hardly eat for days. I weight the same in my 40's as I did in my mid teens, most of the time. I normally weigh about 180 and am pretty fit, but months of mania in India lead to extreme situations that landed me at 130 pounds. I am trying to see if my appetite changes and then my mood, or if my mood affects my appetite.
Avatar m tn My wife has a "condition" where she gains weight if she eats over about 900 calories in a day. The problem is she weighs about 260. She has lost some weight with healthy eating and exercise but still cannot go below a very low caloric intake. She had gastric bypass surgery and it helped her not be as hungry and she eats healthy and exercises regularly. She lost a little more recently to the weight she is at now, and has to stop eating at a little bit lower caloric amount.

My question is if there's any reason to follow up with a doctor to try to find out what's going on, or should I just be happy that I apparently have my life back. Any suggestions are appreciated. Avatar m tn I'm 17 and for as long as I can remember I have had problems with my metabolism in the sense that i can't stand sugar,dairy products but also in the sense of that i have on average 4 bowel movements a day and it is really starting to interfere with my life.These days how long I can go and hang out with my friends is very limited because I am constantly nervous that I will have to run to the nearest bathroom at a moments notice.

Morning, eat like a king, lunch, eat like a queen, dinner, eat like a poorper. Cut all carbs out after 5pm as your body won't burn them when you rest. High protein diet, ie fish, chicken. Try to avoid pork and beef as it takes a long time to digest... And drink LOTS OF WATER.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure to whom you are addressing your question. I haven't done a lot of research on the subject, but since hypothyroidism does affect metabolism, I'd guess that alcohol metabolism would be altered, just as food metabolism is altered.
Avatar m tn m not a doctor and you should consult your doctor prior taking any non-essential supplements since you are on medication. Vitamins and superfoods supplements are safe tho and they have no interactions.

Recently I found a superfood called Bulletproof brain octane oil that helps improve brain performance at Giddy Yoyo, a certified organic food product seller in Canada.
