This said, I think it important that you tell your parents what is going on and see if you can get in to see a therapist about it so you can sort out the dreams and hopefully resolve it. Take care. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
603726 tn?1223919660 Psychological factors that influence the mental state of IBS sufferers (work stress, family or relationship stress, getting held up in a traffic jam, even the stress of planning a journey for some sufferers, or even turning out for a sporting event and certainly interviews and exams) are thought to cause chemical changes or imbalances in the brain that may in turn influence motility (the propelling of contents through the gut).

Avatar f tn I was talking to my dad the other day and he brought up how it could possibly be Post traumatic stress disorder bcs I am not worrying about it never going away. I constnatly think about it every day. I just try to explain how even when i try to ignore it it is still there slightly. I guess my questions is is it possible to be imagining or bringing on such symptoms to there full effect due to anxiety?
Avatar f tn Please post your question as its own post because this one is so old.
Avatar m tn Some of the causes are heredity, hormonal changes, daily stress, mental disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias etc. You should find out the triggering factor and avoid it strictly. Try relaxation therapies to avoid stress. Regular exercise will help improve circulation and make her enthusiastic. You need to share your problems with some one and put your thoughts in right way.
Avatar f tn The symptoms you have experienced are surely serious to the extent that pain of this magnitude and duration can really have an effect on one’s quality of life. At the same time, your symptoms are most likely to be on a muscular.-skeletal or nerve compression basis and not a sign of cancer or some other life threatening disease. Were you to have cancer, the diagnosis would be obvious after two years and not with a six month pain free interval.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 24, a former ballet dancer (stopped when I was 16) with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of my right foot that has not healed after 3 years of treatment and a possible new stress fracture in my left foot from over compensating. Why is it that my feet aren't healing and keep fracturing? I don't do any strenuous exercising like running or jumping.
Avatar f tn You say that you are dealing with stress in your life, which indicates to me that it may be anxiety/panic disorder (but please do not quote me on that as obviously I am not a doctor), but I do have personal experience of what you are currently going through. Have you had the relevant tests done as in a chest exray, ecg, ekg, blood tests and so on? and if so, what have all of the results read, and why is your doctor prescribing you medication? did he diagnose you with anxiety?
