well there is a difference between stress/ anxiety and an anxiety disorder. just being stressed your physical symptoms would go away after the stress does but with an anxiety disorder you body and hormones go all out of whack and your body keeps pumping adrenaline, and cortisol as if you were having something stressful going on even though you may consciously not.
