strattera with cymbalta

My doctor has recently added strattera to my cocktail mix. So I am now on Cymbalta + Strattera for general anxiety/ OCD. Has anyone had any luck with Stratttera being added to there antidepressant. My doctor said this was a great combo.

I also was on cymbalta about 6 months ago and it helped tremendously with my depressive states, body pain and PMS (which is terrible. Have almost left my husband every month for the last 6 months, one week before my period). Pdoc stopped cymbalta because it was making me a little 'too' happy.(figures). Ended up in hospital after stopping it.

We were able to wean off of the Prevacid and just stick to Strattera, as our peds thinks the Strattera helps him with the anxiety related to the GERD, and therefore he had no complaints of symptoms of GERD. In March we went off of the Strattera, and within 4 weeks the symptoms of GERD re-appeared ( Not eating, coughing, feeling like something is caught in his throat.) We went back on Strattera and Prevacid.

I have been on both strattera and adderall. Adderall is very addicting to this (me) addict. The strattera didnt give the buzz adderall did. ALSO many people have reported adderall increased depression. I hope this helps. Congrats on getting off the opiates. YOUR AWESOME !!

Hepatotoxicity is possible, though of course not probable, with Strattera, and lab work would be ordered before starting it and during tretament with it. In the 3+ years between January of 2005 and April of 2008, a number (6) of caes of liver illness were reported to the FDA. I would suggest talking with the prescribing clinician and reviewing the options. There are alternatives in addition to Strattera.

ve worked for in that time. And be miserable without working out. Would taking a klonopin with the strattera in the am help eleviate those symptoms? My pharamist thinks my blood pressure is getting to high. Would a klonopin combat that so I can at least perform at 100%?

ve been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy. My son has ODD without ADHD, he has been taking a very small dossage of Topamax for over a year ( has help him loose and control his oerweight problems, but has not really help with his oposition or horrible mood swings) and now the Dr. recomendned Strattera, I´m very concern with the side efects. Can you please tell me about Cymbalta 60mg. My Doctor wants to put me on that, as he says it is good with severe depression, anxiety & pain reduction. The Adderal XR was effective at combating my ADHD symptoms but made my anxiety worse, so my doctor prescribed Strattera. I found the Strattera to be not nearly as effective as Adderal XR, so without consulting my doctor, I began taking both medications together. This is working extraordinarily well. The Strattera seems to ease my anxiety while slightly reducing ADHD symptoms and the Adderal XR nearly eliminates the remaining ADHD symptoms.

My daughter is nearly 11 years old and has been taking Concerta (now on 36mg) since March. The doctor recommended a switch to Strattera for the reason that it works 24 hours (Concerta is effective for only 12 hours) and will help my daughter concentrate more. I have no idea whether Strattera is a better alternative, can anyone tell me if this is true?

first off i will say i have been on suboxone for about a year and a half after having a 6 year relationship with pain killers and have successfully been tapering off the past 6 months or so down to .5mg daily and now off completely. now with that said i have been trying to get treatment for my add and feel like my treatment options are based around my past addiction.

I have been on Pristiq 100mg for 3 months, Wellbutrin 150mg for 5 weeks and we added Strattera 40mg. Pristiq for PMDD, Wellbutrin for motivation and Strattera for focus. Separately they help each thing only. So was wondering if anyone else is on a combo like this and it’s helped. And how long. I seem to be anxious more lately before adding Strattera....hoping this helps it. No libido what so ever.

t been on medicine for it since college. Starts out with my former medicine, strattera, but when I would take it I felt my heart was out of control and my blood pressure went up. Now on wellbutrin for about a week but I feel foggy and it is causing worse ibs. Not sure if that side effect will go away but giving it a try. My question is, if anyone can answer, why was I able to take strattera as a child with 0 side effects and then high heart rate etc now.

t feeling the Strattera and could i please get enough adderal until the Strattera kicked in. He originally had boo hooed any narcotic adhd meds. But he gave me enough for a week. When I took the amphetamine I immediately felt relief and I am at an age where I am pretty sure what my body needs and I don't want to play around with newer drugs with side effects I am afraid of.

I am an over 35 Adult female with ADHD. I have been taking Strattera for several years. It wasn't until my aggressive behavior and anger was announced to me by my husband as being a problem that I sought help with counceling and with my primary care Doctor. The first thing my Doctor said to me was that Strattera was known to cause heightened aggression and mood swings. He also said that due to the fact that I am super-sensitive to any medication it could make it much worse. Is this possible?

Im a 34 year old female just diagnosed with ADD. my dr out me on strattera because of an existing heart problem. I started it 5 days ago. the 1st day i took it at 8am. by 12 i couldnt keep my head off my desk. and i killed my scalp with my letter opener. i felt like i had bugs all in my head. the next day i took it at 1pm. same thing. im taking it later at night so i can hopefully sleep through all of the "bugs". has anyone else had itching as a side effect?

I had also just started taking an additional medication for ADD since I just cant seem to get my brain functioning well and am on Cymbalta, Vyvanse and Strattera. I have had cognitive issues for the past 10 years which have increased dramatically in the last year and increased again w/in the last couple of mnths.
