ve had to hire a cleaning company to clean apartment every week, and substantial enough that no combination enough medications seems to completely alleviate it - except taking four medications - Singulair, Claritin and Mirapex and Rozerem for sleep, since my sleep has been implicated too and has been substantially worse due to allergies.
I think the one you are thinking about is called Hylands and it is a supplement.
t know about the Monavie but what I take and is wonderful is Mirapex. I take it 3 times a day and have no restless legs unless I skip a dose or run out and then the RLS returns. I hope this has helped.
I'm on .25mg of Mirapex for RLS and am gaining weight. Has anyone else experienced this. Any idea as to why. Suggestions? Thanks!
137 Diagnosed RLS 10/07 by neurologist. Besides known night rls symptoms had morning symptoms. Awakened suddenly early AM startled, stressed,wired/ tired,sense of dread,jumping out of skin,adrenaline rush. Difficult to describe, determined not panic attacks. Somewhat relieved when I get up and move around Before told RLS, internist called this a Restless Syndrome. Had very low ferritin/iron at the time.Took the iron pills, values went up, symptoms did not abate.

We could easily add Restless Legs as a symptom and Mirapex as a treatment to the Sleep Tracker. Would that work for you?
I loose a lot of sleep. I get in day and night. My arms even jerk and have that restless feeling. Mirapex is taken twice a day and don't help. No drs will address it and I'm miserable . Is this a lack of a vitamin or mineral. Do I ever get rid of them?
Just to double check, are you saying that you take .75 mg. daily? If so, you are lucky that that is not a very high dosage and getting off the drug should be fairly quick. I am presently taking .50 mg daily and am planning to cut back to .25 mg since I no longer require the higher dosage.
I have RLS and take Mirapex, .25mg about an hour before bed. It has worked great for me. I tried the Gabapentin and got up to 1200 mg - which was also taken before bed, but it did nothing for me. I have been told that Mirapex works much better than Ropinerol - you may want to talk to your doc about Mirapex as an option - it just went generic.
I would see a movement disorders specialist to see if you have tardive dyskinesia (or one of its other variants such as tardive dystonia). There can be withdrawal dyskinesia after stopping Ability but after two months if it has not gone away tardive dyskinesia should be ruled out. Tardive dyskinesia is generally treated with Mirapex, Bachlophen, Requip, Aricept and Botox injections for focal dystonia.
But waht i wanted to comment was something i read here from a poster about some meds for RLS... mirapex and requip... it seems they increase the dopamine levels with some side effects not to get overlooked by someone with addiction issues... The poster shared her experience with mirapex of getting addicted to gambling. It can happen. She even left a link of a documental made in Canada about this terrible effect of mirapex.
