upper right hand side pain, I have started having sharp stabbing pains in my stomach which stop if I apply pressure, what could this be?

For a while now I have still been having stomach pains. They are right below my rib cage or even farther up. It feels like stinging and wakes me up now at night sometimes. It usually gets worse when I haven't eaten like I should. Also, I have been having sweats even though no one else in the room is hot. It is like dripping sweat. I have gained weight so I'm 5'8" and 120 and trying to get to 125. I eat every three hours.

I have been experiencing upper stomach pains that goes across my whole abdominal area right underneath my diaphram. This pain feels like I am very hungry and my stomach is signaling to me that I am hungry. I'm usually not hungry and this pain continues to happen even after I eat. My appetite has signficantly gone down since the pains have started because they only get worse after I eat. On a scale from one to ten my pain is around a 4.

mild pain in the upper left side of the stomach down to the side. Worse after i take spiced food. What is it?

Is it right beneath your bra line? Or stomach? It could be lots of things at this point. I know I head really bad indigestion that resulted in stomach pain rather then acid reflux. I also know that our rib cages flare to make room for baby. Baby could also be lying in a weird spot across the top of your uterus, transverse. Ifs it too painful go to emergency and they can help. Sorry if this seems like a wishy washy answer, but if there are more details maybe we can be of more help.

The stomach pain subsided slightly since then, but I now have been having REALLY bad gas (burping mostly), stomach cramps ALL OVER (pelvis, lower left and right abdomen, and upper abdomen), diarrhea throughout the day, acid reflux, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, heart palpitations, and it feels like I have a lump in my throat. I've just recently had a barium upper GI and everything came out normal besides reflux.

what i mean is that the same place it hurts in my right upper side chest it hurts on my right side upper back its like the pain is in same place back and front " i have been getting this pain on and off for abt 4 weeks and recently for 2 days i have a sore throat , burning pain in throat and ears and goes down to stomach but no stomach pain ,swallowing is painfull , what can this be and is this something to go to the doctor abt or do i needto go to the emergency room for this .

my boyfriend has been having stomach pains for a few weeks they started as just tender small pain which didnt last long then this week they got so severe he couldnt even walk. we went to a+e and explained they always seem to occur after meals, but his stools are all normal so that rules out IBS. The docs thought it may be renal stones but his urinalysis, bloods, and abdo x-ray were all clear.

i get really bad pains in the left side ofmy stomach and the bottom of my stomach and i don't no why it really horrible some times it hurts so much i can't sit down or stand any think i did the pain wont go and it makes me feel really sick i went to the doctors but they blame my bowls but i don'y see what this has to do with my bowls. any suggestions what could be wrong. ??? please i have had these pains for ages and i hate it.

I am a 34 year old male, with chronic right side(back and stomach) pain. The pain is to the right of my belly button and a little bit below my rib cage. It is pretty severe(to the touch) I recently had a full GI test which was normal. I also had my appendix removed. The pain is severe when I wake up in the morning. I have constant diarrhea. After I pass the diarrhea the pain subsides but will come back in a few hours.

Have any of you ladies expirenced really bad stomach/belly pains in the third trimester. I'm 33 weeks and I'm in so much pain. I don't think I am constipated because I have had bowel movements. I'm thinking about going to the hospital.

I was shopping in the grocery store when I started feeling stomach pains in my upper middle stomach. I felt light-headed also & hot. I quickly got done/headed home. Now I am having stomach pains that come like waves & middle of chest also (spasms). My 8 year old daughter has been having stomach pains for about 9 months off and on. we have been to our family doctor the er and another hospital for a second opinion.. she has been treated for acid reflux, h-pylori, and constipation. the treatment for these hasnt seemed to make it better. the treatment for the h-pylori helped for a while. she has had blood work done a cat scan and a upper GI....any ideas?

) Actually, I did think I was allergic to dairy a few months ago when I was having extremely bad stomach pains and I was pooping around 6 times a day (sorry for so much detail) haha. But it subsided after a few days with a bland diet. I found out it was because I stopped taking Prilosec. I started it a few months before and I was taking it everyday (I know, that's not recommended), and I stopped it without weening myself off, so I think it messed everything up.

On the upper right just beneath your rib cage is your liver, which is connected to your gall bladder and can cause pain if you have gall stones. Have you been eating fatty foods? That tends to be a trigger for pain, and pain can also appear in other locations, such as the shoulder blades. Google "Gall stones" and see if the symptoms match up, but I do agree with the PA. Really bad gas pain can cause pain right up there by your liver area and radiate into your chest and whole body.

I just now started having really sharp pains on my upper side rib area. Not stomach area at all. Like the side of my upper ribs on my right side. It comes and goes. What is this??

t noticed anything unusual, but when I am standing my upper right stomach sticks out a bit further than the left side. When I push on it it is kind of hard. All three doctors didn't notice any inflammation of my liver... Any ideas of what it could be? P.S. I have had this OCD thing for the past 2 and a half months where I continuously poke that area :S. Maybe I tightened or strengthened the muscles? LOL. It feels a bit harder on the right side than the as well..

For the past 3-4 months I have been having terrible pain in my upper right abdomen which goes into my back and also excessive belching especially after eating or drinking. I did an endoscopy which showed no stomach problems. I did a CT scan which shows I have gallstones but no major problems with gallbladder. There is no pain on the left side of my abdomen. I continued to be in pain so I was sent for an MRI which also did not show anything alarming except that I have gallstones.

Hi. a couple of days ago i have start to have stomach pains only on the right side.it has got worse. my temp is 99.2 thats a little hight for me (i stay in the 98.2 97.3 range) i have noticed that the pain is also in my right arm and right side of my neck..what could be the cause of this pain and how do i treat it??

So my names Tom I'm 21 married with a kid, I'm 6' 155 pounds, I've been having really bad stomach pains for almost 2 years now, it's like a really sharp pain/cramping/nausea I'm usually fine if I'm sitting/laying down but if I get up to do anything it hurts so bad and it gets worse over time to the point if I walk for like 10 minutes I'll throw up so I try and take stops when the pain gets to bad.
