Hey all! I'm still alive, through the grace of God! I am on week three of Yaz and things have gotten better! I have back pain and some fatigue, but overall, I'm well! I know how to calm my anxiousness and I feel like my old self again! To God be the glory for the things He has done!
I was on yasmin for like 4 years and by the 3rd year i started having stomach pains and issues with my stomach. It has been on the news and in papers and on line about organ issues!!!!!! i repeat do not get yasmin. the brown isnt really old blood its just discharge before your actuall period starts. Not only that but talk to your doctor tomrrow or call your gyn. But listen to me you do not want yasmin!!! ask ur gyn about it!!!
Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better.
10. My MIND is a lot cleared on YAZ but the side effects and physical effects are unhealthy and I have not been able to engage in excercise etc because of the symtoms. I will rather go on Yasmine and have no physical side effects and I will try to manage the remaining mood swings myself.
Sometimes i will not have any and i think they are completely gone, and then a few hours later usually at night they come back usually terribly bad all over my arms, legs, chest, back, and stomach. It gets so bad and itchy sometimes, i just cry. It is very frustrating, along with the joint pain. It gets so bad in my knees that im crying and can barely walk. It gets so bad in my wrists i can't even hold a pen or a phone.
She said bleeding will stop after I finish YAZ, then switch to ALTHEA when I get my first period. She said that Althea is a little bit high on dosage compared to YAZ. My remaining YAZ pill will be finished on November 29 (two white pills for that day).

Ill give the best an explanation I possibly can..
Alright, I'm 17 years old, and my girlfriend the same.. we've been dating for about a year, and have engaged in a lot of sexual activity (had a lot of sex). Now, she's on birth control, YAZ to be specific, and her months usually go the same way, she takes the 24 pink pills and then the 4 whites, and she gets her period the first or second day of pinks in the new pack.
Any birth control pill, well any birth control that has hormones in it can cause blood clots. But they are normally only risk for those who have a family history of clots, or who have suffered from clots before. I've never been on Yaz and the only birth control pills I have ever taken was/is Yasmin. No they are not the same. Yasmin or Ocella is a lower dose of birth conrtol, while Yaz is prescribed more often to those who suffer from PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder).
I have been on Yaz for almost two months now. I haven't missed any pills but I did have stomach flu within the first three days of starting my first pack. I didn't see the pill in my vomit and continued to take them in the mornings like I usually do. The time I take my pill is within fifteen minutes on weekdays and about 2-3 hours later on weekends. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex 4 times about halfway through my 2nd pack of Yaz. He did not finish inside of me.
It's probably the pills you're on. I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
One sure way to tell if it is the Yaz is stop taking it and see if the pains go away. I have been on BCPS for years. I am 44 and take Yasmine and do not have any trouble with the pill. Have you had your Potassium and Calcium and Vit. D levels checked? Yaz and Yasmine are not solely estrogen based and may cause elevated Potassium levels.
I had low Vit. D levels and had muscle cramping and tingling from the low level. Hope you are feeling better soon.
i've been on yaz for about 2 months (second pack) now and haven't noticed any drastic, or horrible side affects. my skin has exceptionally cleared up, especially around my period when my acne gets very bad. i have noticed that i'm very fatigued, and didn't know it was because of the yaz until i started reading about it. i've actually lost weight and am much more personable with people. my pmdd is practically gone. i'm 17, 5'2 and 133 lbs.
The doctor believes endometriosis is causing the pain on my right side and back. She put me back on Yaz (birth control). I was on Yaz for several years to control the severe PMS symptoms I was having. I got off PMS last summer when I turned 50 because I wanted to get an accurate reading of my hormone levels which are normal. It seems like once I got of Yaz I started having these problems--complex cyst, pain,
etc.
I started taking Yaz on the first day of my period, it's been two and a half weeks now and my period hasn't stopped at all. Usually it only lasts about 3-4 days for me. This is the first time I've been on ANY birth control and I know my body's going to have to adjust, but how long should I expect this to go on?
Ok so I have been on yaz for 4 or 5 months. Last month I got my period but it was pretty light and ended soon, which I thought was normal for yaz. I had sex the night or day after I finished. Now I just finished my whole yaz pack, all the white pills, and no period! Last night i took the last pill, and since I had no period, i took a pregnancy test. It came out negative. But then this morning i had brown discharge.
I'm scared it came out negative because it is too early to take it?!
A couple days later Ive been noticeing that my Discharge is kind of a beige brownish colour and its a little thcker maybe then usual not a lot though and the one thing that concerns me is the smell, I have No pains No irritations nothing at all. just the discharge and the smell. The smell is not fishy at all though.
Year ago I started Yaz and on the 4th day I got severe leg cramps in my left leg and stopped. About a month and a half ago I started orthocyclen on the 5th day the same thing happened, Sharp stabbing pains in my left leg and leg cramps! Dr. switced me to micronor, thinking No estrogen would help, on the 2nd day the same thing happend! So yesterday I started aviane (lowest dose BCP) and again the same situation.
At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery. Anyway, come June, I got my period in the middle of the month, like on the 14th, which was weird considering my periods usually come at the end of the month. Then, on the 24th, I lost my virginity. We used a condom and were careful, etc.
Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
