Some women don't get hot flashes. If you do start getting them talk to your Dr about hormone therapy. Are you doing alright 11 days post-op? Are you following Drs orders and taking things easy?
I have night sweats and gerd but that is because I have regular heartburn and am getting to the menopausal age. Love my life, right? But by itself, GERD can cause hot flashes and night sweats. Usually if you get the sweats with GERD, it means the Gerd isn't very well controlled, unfortunately. They often recommend H2 blockers (like Tagamet, OTC). I had a lot of luck getting my GERD under control by taking Tagamet and also by dropping a few pounds.
Could my mercury poisoining be causing my absense of sweat, burning red flare ups on my skin when I feel the slightest warmth, and nauseating hot flashes? Does anyone know how to treat this uncomfortable condition?!

73 year old male, good health, about once a month I have these dry hot flashes with itch, hot red skin especially on the head and face but also over the chest and arms, slightly upset stomach, about 10 min duration. These can occur anytime during the day. Diet--probably high in sugar, some soy milk, veggies, nuts, whole grains, high sodium at times. No sweating associated. No breathing difficulties.
I miss a month im having sharp pains in my stomach, farting alot,sleeping,breast feel heavy im spotting, my lower back hurts my feet hurt, nausea, constipation and when i do go to the bathroom the smell,smells like baby poop, i been falling asleep at 2 every night,stuffy nose,hot flashes but before all this happened my spouse was having symptoms before i had them. I took two tests and it came out negative but my body never was like this and if i am im in my fifth week.....
I have lost 25 lbs in two months without trying. I am a 53 year old female. I started suffering sever hot flashes about 3 years ago after my mom died. I also quit having monthly cycles and have not had one for three years. I thought this might be menopause and I have taken all kinds of natural solutions, hot flash pills, slept with the fan on, etc.
Im getting really bad pains by my ribs , tummy keeps getting hard and yhe pain will get stronger & also getting hot flashes with cramps. Wondering if I should give labor and delivery a call or just wait till my appointment on Wednesday with my OB.
If you have stomach pain, gas and hot flashes, then there are two things that you must rule out. One is H pylori infection and the other is polycystic ovary. Other than that it could be due to an inflammatory bowel condition such as Celiac Disease/Ulcerative Colitis/Irritable Bowel Syndrome/ Crohn’s disease.
Keep a stress diary if you will be seeing the gastroenterologist in 2 months. Clock in what you eat and when the symptoms appear and see if there is any correlation to a particular diet.

I read you message on medhelp about hunger pains and was wondering you found any relief? I am suffering from very similar conditions. 3:00 am wake-up from hunger, hot flashes, gnawing in the stomach. I've had this going on for about 6-months now and it does not seem to be getting better. I do get some relief from Prevacid but it is not consistent. I'm not sure what started my problems but they all started after I had a kidney stone.

I cannot stand the thought of living like this for 2 - 5 - 10 years!
