I was shopping in the grocery store when I started feeling stomach pains in my upper middle stomach. I felt light-headed also & hot. I quickly got done/headed home. Now I am having stomach pains that come like waves & middle of chest also (spasms). Last time this happened, I ended up in ER with pain meds & it was the gerd as I had not been taking the prilosec every day to save on pills.
Well this time, I haven't been skimping, so am concerned.
How big is the dose of aspirin you take, 75mg isnthe dose people often take to reduce heart attack and stroke risk, any more and you maybe risking stomach problems. My doctor told me not to take aspirin at all ( even though I worry about my own chest pains) as it's an acid and can cause all kinds of problems with the stomach. I think you should speak to your doctor before taking anything like aspirin regularly, it's best to have a professional opinion.
This kinda thing feels like a heart thing, but it tends to happen after meals. So id think blood sugar or stomach maybe.
Truth be told the stairs at work get my heart pounding pretty good at the usual 140 ish range i'd wager, but never out of control and I never have chest pains. Just lightheaded and fatigued a lot.

From the age of 11, I have been getting severe stomach pains just under the ribs which last for one to two hours. The pains have never been predictalble and I have no idea what sets them off. I am 23 now and I'm getting sick and tired of the problem. The pain is on the left one time and the right at other times. The only thing I can link to it is sometimes if I skip a meal I'll get hungry and then straight afterwards it hits.
Myr brother in law has been submitted into hospital as he was suffering from stomach pains and pains around his heart. The doctor there said he had ruptured the membrane around his heart.

I have had chest pains on and off for 15 years. It starts on the right side of my chest all the way into my sholduer and then hurts on both sides. Then it hurts on the left side of my chest. It hurts worst when I lay down but it is constant pain. It hurts for a total of 4 to 5 days and then stops. I have been tested for lung and heart problems and was told everything is fine. I have also been tested for arthritis and was told I didnt have it.
i just found out i was pregnant only a week ago, so that only puts me at barely a month pregnant, and last night i was talkin to my husband and i started getting a pain in my lower stomach just to the right of my left pelvis, it wasnt ridiculously uncomfortable, i guess the best way to explain it was almost like heart burn in my stomach.
Not literally stomach pains, no. The aorta does run all the way down the chest and abdomen, and it should be checked by CT to make sure there is nothing going on with the aorta itself. Another thing that should and undoubtedly will be checked is your coronary artery flow, to make sure there are no blockages there; sometimes a coronary blockage will cause what the patient experiences as "stomach pain.
I have 8 stent, 6 in the RCA and 2 in the obtuse marginal, I was 38 when I had my first heart attack, I am now 40. I'm constantly feeling chest pains could the medicine I'm on cause these pains?
Your heart is apparently just fine. The problem is anxiety, more specifically, heart anxiety.
Anxiety and panic attacks can definitely cause chest pains, as can GERD.
Talk to your doctor about medication for the GERD. He/she may even recommend you have an endoscopy to rule out any medical reason for the reflux.
You should also discuss getting into some therapy for your anxiety/panic.
It's a lousy way to live and you don't have to!
Hi, I've been experiencing some really odd pains in my lower stomach I am 14 weeks pregnant and my doctor said it was round ligament pains but it has gotten worse it hurts to turn, walk, or even get up and I don't know what it is.. what could that be?
