I have received excellent results from the level 1 tanning bed, however with a dark tan has come these white spots on my stomach that are the size of rain drops. I am not kidding, they look like rain drops splatter, and there are just two of them. It is not attractive at all. To say the very least, I am terrified of tanning now.
I went to a walk in clinic where the dr diagnosed me with Pityriasis rosea and told me to wait it out and it will go away, maybe some sun or the tanning bed would help. The hearald patch was seen on my stomach and traveled.
After 2 more weeks, the spots traveled up my neck and on my face, became itchy and with the tanning, the spots stayed white while i was tan. I was then diagnosed with tinea veriscolor and told to use antifungal cream and use head and shoulders.
Not for longer than 10min and do it with a damp towel over your stomach or else you can overheat baby.
Hello everyone, I have a question about tanning in a tanning booth after cataract surgery. During our very long and cold Canadian winters, we don't get much sun (drive to work in the dark, drive home in the dark) and so many people develop SAD (seasonal affliction disorder?). Sorry can't remember what it stands for! Anyways, to combat this, (since I already take a lot of meds and don't want to add anti-depressants to the list!
For the first few session I seemed to be ok, but now it seems like everytime I tan i get a rash on my stomach and the sides of my legs. It almost looks like hives or something. It appears within a few hours but goes away typically in less than 12 and I get itchy immediatly. I have had a history of sun poision on my shoulders and chest, not on the places that I seem to being getting a rash from now.
Tanning outside isn't bad, going to a tanning booth is. Just make sure you stay cool and drink lots of water, you don't want to overheat!
With a cool wet towel over your stomach and not longer than 10-15min. As per ny doc anyway.
My friend and I went away on vacation to the Bahamas in February of this year. After the first day of tanning my friend noticed that she had these itchy little red bumps all over her chest and neck areas. I didn't have them. The next day was cooler out so we didn't get much sun. However, I discovered that I too had these itchy red bumps all over my chest, neck and upper arms.

I'm 16 years old... I have not been diagnosed with depression nor have I been diagnosed with anxiety...
I have had anxiety attacks/panic attacks. When I get nervous/scared/stressed about something I get this horrible pain in my stomach... I feel like puking, my body trembles, and I eventually start crying if I don't calm down within a certain amount of time...
