Go to the doctor I don't know what the symptoms are, but when I hear this started after a chicken sandwich I think about salmonella.
In general, salmonella symptoms begin with nausea and vomiting and progress to abdominal pains and diarrhea. Additional signs and symptoms include fever, chills and muscle pains, and can last anywhere from several days to two weeks.
My 8 year old daughter has been having stomach pains for about 9 months off and on. we have been to our family doctor the er and another hospital for a second opinion.. she has been treated for acid reflux, h-pylori, and constipation. the treatment for these hasnt seemed to make it better. the treatment for the h-pylori helped for a while. she has had blood work done a cat scan and a upper GI....any ideas?
I agree about checking for carbon monoxide - carbon monoxide poisoning can mimic a flu or virus, causing headaches and nausea/vomiting.
If you're not having trouble with carbon monoxide, it's possible you've either both picked up a stomach virus or perhaps even food poisoning. The only thing a little "different" about it is that you feel worse if you don't eat - that usually is more typical of something like an ulcer than a virus.
I just finished my two years of tamoxifen and start my arimidex this week. I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
I also have ges diabetes which added further complications and my stomach has not returned to normal since then I still get stomach pains from time to time, my appetites disappeared and I have horrific acid and trapped gas which can get painful I don't think my tummy will get chance to heal properly until my baby Is born in he next few weeks. Until then I have to grin and bare it.
I've lived a fine life really, I have never experienced this before until 2 years ago. I started getting horrible stomach pain. I don't mean the average 'too much food' stomach ache, I mean a stomach ache that makes me pass out, sweat like mad, and grab onto something next to me to avoid going insane. I get these pains at least 3 times a week, and they seem to get worse every time. They last for about an hour. I don't know what it is.
Within an hour of eating, I get very bad gas pains in my stomach. It doesn't matter what type of food it is. Is this a normal HEP C symptom?

I have always had a weak stomach. If I eat out or eat fast food, I had trouble getting to sleep from pain. Now, for the past 3 months, I have had stomach pain almost after every meal I eat. I though it might be the food, but it hurts after something as simple as salad. The pain is below the naval. It hurts while going to bed to the point I stay awake. I tried not laying down 2 hours after my meal, but it doesn't matter. What I do is take an antacid + acid reducer to get to sleep.
I was shopping in the grocery store when I started feeling stomach pains in my upper middle stomach. I felt light-headed also & hot. I quickly got done/headed home. Now I am having stomach pains that come like waves & middle of chest also (spasms). Last time this happened, I ended up in ER with pain meds & it was the gerd as I had not been taking the prilosec every day to save on pills.
Well this time, I haven't been skimping, so am concerned.
Lately, he has been telling me that he can not gain any of the weight he lost back, and he has minor stomach pains along with a nauseating feeling. He says that everytime he eats something, he has the immediate urge to go stool, and most of his stools are very loose. He can't fit much in his stomach either. Some days it feels better, while others don't. Please help me. Thank You!
For a while now I have still been having stomach pains. They are right below my rib cage or even farther up. It feels like stinging and wakes me up now at night sometimes. It usually gets worse when I haven't eaten like I should. Also, I have been having sweats even though no one else in the room is hot. It is like dripping sweat. I have gained weight so I'm 5'8" and 120 and trying to get to 125. I eat every three hours.
A friend of mine has severe stomach pains. She has gone to the several doctors several times over the years and they don't seem to help. Every time they actually give her a legitimate diagnoses, they end up doing a test that rules it out. Off the top of my head I know they have mentioned cysts, female problems, appendicitis, itbs, celiac, and colon issues. The most common response to her string of symptoms is female problems. This is clearly not the case.
The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis.
Headache may/may not be related to the stomach ache. Common viruses that cause cold flu or stomach flu can cause nausea and headache. There may be other associated signs like runny nose, diarrhea, fever, body aches which may be suggestive of a viral illness.
I just ate some candy the air head xtreme sweeetly sour n a kerns strawberry banana as soon as I ate tht my stomach felt weirs I wanna throw up I'm nauseous n I'm getting pains in my stomach nt contractions it hurts. Wht shud I do?? Go to the hospital or wait it out.?
For the past year I have been having pains in my stomach that goes from the right side to the left side under my rib cage. I wake up with it every morning. I have been to my GI doctor for a Endoscopy and he said, I had GERDS and Barretts Esophagus and put me on Nexium 40mg twice a day. Then I had a Colonoscopy and he said, I had Diverticulitis, which was something I never had before. He never told me how I got it or what to do about it or even if that was what was causing the morning pain.
When there is no food in my stomach the acid inside starts to attack the ulcer causing pain. But when i eat, the acid digests the food and leaves the ulcer alone.
Are these symptoms of an ulcer? PLEASE can someone give me an answer!?! i'm desperate here. I'm not sure if its something serious or just an ulcer! please can someone reply. thank you!
I have stomach pains whenever I eat almost anything. Gas, bloating, cramps, loose bowel movements. It feels like I can't digest food properly and the food just stays there and ferments for awhile. I have constant mostly low-grade headaches, trouble focusing, brain fog, low energy. Have been diagnosed as a celiac 1.5 years ago, and have followed gluten free diet, but doesn't seem to help much. I have spent alot of money on digestive enzymes, lactase, etc...
