I would not take lamisil ever again. It is notoriously hard on your liver. Sporanox is really bad for the liver also.
About 5 months ago I started getting constantly severe burning in the perineum which was and still is red (though not excessively) and irritated. A lot of swabs were taken (I felt a burning sensation also internally when the swab was taken) and all that could be found was strep b and WBC >200. I was given antibitiocs for that but this did not help. Strep b was coming back; however even when I took the antibiotics and the strep b was not showing in the swab the burning was still present.
I am really so upset and question what is the point of living if my life is going to be like this for the rest of my life. No one suffers from infections like I do. I feel so isolated and alone... I have eaten sporanox, diflucan, pessaries.. they will only make me feel better for two weeks and the symptoms will return. I would really appreciate any stories from anyone who have successfully battled such recurrent infections..
I was Rx Sporanox pending liver function test. AST was normal, but ALT was 52 in a lab norm range of 2 - 45.
I was told possibly elevated due to my 1600 - 2400 mg/dy of nsaids (Advil gel caps). ETOH consumption moderate.
If I cut the nsaids, how long should I expect to wait to retest for a drop of 7 points on that ALT score? Is 45 really the high end of norm?
I often wonder if some people that say they are gluten intolerant actually have candida and dont know it. If you have candida and eat gluten, you will feel uncomfortable. It would be easy to assume its the gluten making you feel bad- its the candida feasting on the gluten.

She should also be tested for Candida-her symptoms are consistent with Candida-, something that doctors don't usually look for. Beware that sometimes it's missed in their testing.
You may look into having her do a screening self-test for Candida.

Usually most of the times bloating and constipation occurs when after I masturbate and ejaculate. I also did the Candida spit test at home and resulted positive. Could Candida do this to me? Please help me out.

I have a 2 and a haf year old son that I suspect has a fungus around the cuticle of his finger on his thumb. The thumb had been slammed inside a door or cabinet and it has never healed. I was wondering what would be the best fungal medication for him to take terbinafine or fluconazole I read on the internet that sporanox is not recommended. What do you think I should tell the doctor to prescribe for a two and a half year old that would be safe.
Hello, I had sex with a csw with preservative for about 3 minutes, didnt eyaculate or anything and about 6 days later I got trush and sore throad with lots of dry cough, I got tested at day 25 with duo test negative and now waiting for the 3 months mark, but Im having recurring balanitis and trush on my tongue wont go away, already took mycostatin, diflucan and dactarin and they always come back, Isnt it a bit early for these opportunistic infections to come?
Basically Itraconazole is more wide spectrum and less toxic than ketoconazole and has been hence used for a variety of fungal infections chief being aspergillus, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis, histoplasmosis, and onychomycosis and ketoconazole is often used for Candida, Histoplasma, Coccidioides, and Blastomyces (although it is not active against Aspergillus).

i stumbled across a website for candida searchign for the ringworm, and took a test, and i have high risk for candida, and took a self spit test and showed that i do have candida, including about 30 of the symptoms that are related to it.
I assume now that the candida has caused some of these bad rash conditions. I also assume that i am still in the clear, HAVING NOT YET VISITED A DOCTOR yet that this will go away in a few days and my immune system will clear it up.
