Spiriva in the philippines

Common Questions and Answers about Spiriva in the philippines

spiriva

Avatar m tn That will dissolve the phlegm and has a neutral ph, unlike stuff like Spiriva which is acid. (Fungi thrive in an acid environment.) Also you might want to take a potassium iodide supplement. That will help, and oil of oregano will go after fungi with a vengeance. Usually the culprit is Candida albicans.
Avatar n tn But can find no source for it in the Philippines. Not in Cebu, not in Manila. I have a pharmacy in Canada that can provide it, but it has to be shipped in ice and can take 5 days to arrive. Fed Ex won't take it. Neither will UPS. Have to use Canada Post which "promises" 4 days. But if it gets stalled in customs, it will lose its potency. Can't find in Hong Kong or Singapore either. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Avatar n tn I've asked the same question. fter taking Spiriva my PSA levels went up.
Avatar m tn why do i cough up blood? my dr. has tried to explain it to me, something about air ways, air vents, etc. i do this the majority of the time maybe 2 days in between doing so. sometimes it's bright red and then sometimes a darker pink. i have 50% breathing capacity and am on oxygen. it's real scary even though i've been told not to worry about it. i take advair and spiriva and don't cough up that much but when i do and it is very little.
Avatar n tn Also your husband can practice the yoga breathing exercises described by the member, hava. They are very helpful. By the way, the natural remedies work better for me than the steroids did. In fact, the steroids made my condition worse.
Avatar n tn In the past 16 days I have begun using Spiriva in addition to the 2 doses of Symbicort I was using daily. Although I get good (better) results from the combination than Symbicort alone, since starting the Spiriva, I am experiencing very dry mouth, and nasal passages to the extent that I occasionally experience light bleeding when I blow my nose.
Avatar n tn If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable. To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily. The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
Avatar f tn Spiriva is an anticholenergic used to treat various forms of COPD, but rarely asthma. The primary function of these medications is to reduce mucous in the respiratory system. They do have a mild broncho-dilating affect. I have not used Spiriva so I am unsure of its dosage, but I have taken ipratropium which is in the same class. As a neb solution it lasts 6 hours and as an MDI it last 4 hours. Check your prescription for dosing on this medication.
Avatar f tn I'll try to be brief. My dr. ordered a pft last week (following three ct scans over 16 months). I had been using Spiriva for three years. My question is how long should I have been off the Spiriva for the test to show accurate results? Shouldn't I have had the test before being given Spiriva? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn I alerted my pulmonologist as to my problem and he took me off the Spiriva. Since being off the Spiriva, my breathing has gotten worse....my Dr said there was no replacement for Spiriva...I'm writing to find out what others might know.
Avatar m tn You should look at all the past threads in Tagalog and English, which I noticed are the two predominant languages in this forum. Many carriers in the Philippines are rejected for jobs both in the Philippines and especially the ones trying to go abroad to work in other countries. China also discriminates against its own population trying to get jobs. Some multinational companies who have set up shop (e.g. IBM) doesn't test for hbv. http://www.hc2d.co.uk/content.php?
Avatar n tn I have wet macular degeneration as well as COPD and my ophthamalogist theorizes that the weird "blisters" that are appearing at the site of the oozing veins may be caused by the steroid content of my asthma medication ( namely Spiriva). So he has asked me to change to something that doesn't contain any steroids. My pulmonologist has suggested I add floridil to my albuterol nebulizer.
Avatar f tn Since it sounds like you are sensitive to the beta agonists, it might be worth a try with Atrovent, which is a like Spiriva, but s short acting and somewhat different formula. I would speak with your physician about this medication.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, some individuals develop allergy to the ipritropium in the Duo-neb or to Spiriva and the drug simply irritates the membranes of the mouth allowing the thrush to take hold. That you also develop candidiasis under your breasts suggests that you might, for some reason be predisposed to this infectious agent. One possible approach would be to use some type of Spacer device, to be placed between your inhalers and your mouth. Wish I could be more helpful.
Avatar f tn Would anyone know a dysautonomia specialist in the Philippines or in Asia? I've been confined twice and have had 6 doctors ordering tests for me (cardio, neuro, endo, gastro, pulmo and obgyne) but no one can give me any conclusive diagnosis as to why I've been feeling extremely weak and out of breath with episodes of elevated BP and tachycardia for the last 3 months.
Avatar f tn What Spiriva is a a capsule that you place in the device for delivery of the medicine. You place the capsule in a hole inside then when you close the top and press a button a little nail shaped metal piece stabs a hole in the capsule. You blow all of your breath out slowly then suck in slowly while it delivers a little at a time to your lungs. It really works to cut down on coughing because all that phleum doesn't come up like it use to.
Avatar f tn Weizs48, I am in the very same boat as you. I was diagnosed with moderate COPD in Oct. 07. At the time of diagnosis, me and my husband did have health insurance. Then, due to the rotten economy, my husband lost his long time job and our health insurance. So, since March 08 I have been winging it attempting to manage my COPD, without the benefit of health insurance. Personally I totally agree with allmymarbles. For 6 mths. after diagnosis, I did have insurance.
Avatar n tn I have emphysema. i use advair twice a day and spiriva one a day. The biggest problem for me is that I always seem to havemucus build up in the mornings. My doctor has told me to try mucinex, but that doesn't seem to work all the time. So i try using albuterol in the morning to help loosen up the mucus so that I can breath better.
Avatar m tn Good morning! My sister Maruja was diagnosed to have a scar on the brain caused by an EGG of an SCHISTOSOMIASIS bacteria as per MRI result of the DIVINE WORD HOSPITAL in Tacloban City, Philippines. Maruja is 35 years old, and had a seizure for the first time two months ago. She is now in Hongkong working as a domestic helper to find a living for her family. She is taking anti- seizure medicine 3 times a day so that she could escape from seizure attack.
Avatar m tn Of course, you can. The Chinese government used to ban people with Hepatitis B working in the food industry. It has since been lifted, no scientific evidence and plain wrong.
Avatar f tn After being on the Advair and Spiriva for several months, I began to become ill. Spent the sickest winter of my life, while on these inhalers. Bronchitis, pneumonia and pleurisy that was so painful for 3 months. I was doing okay before the inhalers. At least not sick all the time. Then, I went off the inhalers. Personally, I said heck with them. And knock on wood, I have been doing pretty good without them. No more constant illness. I still use a rescue inhaler.
Avatar n tn I was told that one of these breathers cannot be used with Proventil. Please tell me if it is Advair or Spiriva. I can't remember which one the doctor told me.
Avatar n tn does spiriva or alvesco cause acid reflux? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/284791'>Asthmatic bronchitis, how long does it usually last? Could I have something else?</a>.
Avatar m tn is this the one and only mediacation, since there are no genericand here in the united states unlike the rest of the world which has a free market, we are controlled by the drug industry.
