Common Questions and Answers about Spiriva for sale

spiriva

Avatar f tn Spriva which is the same type drug as Advair I believe. What Spiriva is a a capsule that you place in the device for delivery of the medicine. You place the capsule in a hole inside then when you close the top and press a button a little nail shaped metal piece stabs a hole in the capsule. You blow all of your breath out slowly then suck in slowly while it delivers a little at a time to your lungs.
Avatar m tn I currently take advair and Spiriva medication.. is this the one and only mediacation, since there are no genericand here in the united states unlike the rest of the world which has a free market, we are controlled by the drug industry.
Avatar n tn None of the existed before Spiriva!!!! I found out that if you are on Spiriva 2 years - 5 years your chances of getting prostate cancer is 50%. If you are over 60 (I am 62) the chances are 90%.
Avatar n tn i have copd and found spiriva wasnt working for me, after several attempts at trying different things i was put on seretide 4 times a day along with ventolin and spiriva and this settled things down nicely. Go back to doctors and have a word with him/her and advise the spiriva is not working, they will try something else for him, good luck.
Avatar n tn My questions are, How serious is this side effect, Should I continue using the Spiriva, Continue the Spiriva but stop the Symbicort, or Drop both and just take Combivent which I currently use as my emergency inhaler? Are there other alternative that I and my doc should consider.
Avatar n tn I have wet macular degeneration as well as COPD and my ophthamalogist theorizes that the weird "blisters" that are appearing at the site of the oozing veins may be caused by the steroid content of my asthma medication ( namely Spiriva). So he has asked me to change to something that doesn't contain any steroids. My pulmonologist has suggested I add floridil to my albuterol nebulizer.
Avatar n tn If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable. To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily. The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
Avatar f tn after checking, this bladder problem is a side effect of Spiriva...I had used Spiriva for over a year and the infections/non-infections got more frequent until I had to go to the urologist...I was on Azo Standard most of the time. I alerted my pulmonologist as to my problem and he took me off the Spiriva. Since being off the Spiriva, my breathing has gotten worse....my Dr said there was no replacement for Spiriva...I'm writing to find out what others might know.
Avatar f tn I'll try to be brief. My dr. ordered a pft last week (following three ct scans over 16 months). I had been using Spiriva for three years. My question is how long should I have been off the Spiriva for the test to show accurate results? Shouldn't I have had the test before being given Spiriva? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn here in the uk many people get symbicort for asthma , I have been on it for around a year , and I was only diagnosed with copd a cuople of weeks ago . I found it helped me enormously, it is probably an issue of cost why they dont give it to you , as each inhaler costs around £70...
Avatar f tn m on Advair or oral steroids. So I try to avoid them if at all possible. I am currently using Spiriva HandiHaler which I believe is not suppose to have any steroids but I keep getting Thrush in my mouth ! It is a constant problem even just using the Duoneb, and especially if I have to take any antibiotics. I'm, constantly having to take Fluconazole tablets after a round of antibiotics for candidiasis under my breasts and in my mouth.
Avatar m tn coughing phlegm from lungs for the past six months, have taken antibiotics with no results, did take predrisone together with SPIRIVA 18 mcg and ADVAIR 500/50 for the past month. Still coughing up phlegm and have limited lung capacity. Any suggestions comments.
Avatar f tn But, at least I am not getting sick nearly as much, while I was being given Advair and Spiriva. Just my experience and opinion. I so hope this works out for you.
Avatar n tn I instantly stopped the Advair. Then, I stopped the Spiriva. And for almost 2 yrs. now, I am doing better without these meds, then when I was taking them. I don't suggest this stopping of meds for everyone. But, personally these meds made me much worse. I agree on the natural supplement approach. I do take a rescue inhaler. But, only when I have to. Just my experience and input.
Avatar n tn It can be used occasionally, for transient worsening of COPD with Advair, and more regularly with Spiriva. If you find that you have a need for Proventil more than once a day, you should report that to your doctor who may then opt to increase your long acting medication.
Avatar n tn does spiriva or alvesco cause acid reflux? This discussion is related to Asthmatic bronchitis, how long does it usually last? Could I have something else?.
8377023 tn?1399509160 Oshkosh and Carter's are having a $3.99 sale. My mom just told me.
Avatar f tn If people need their inhalers and they help, then I am all for it. It is a personal choice. As for me, they can keep Advair and Spiriva. Caused me nothing but problems, too. I hope you continue to feel better.
Avatar f tn At my six-monthly checkup at my local hospital here in Spain there was a replacement doctor and since he was young I thought he might be willing to hear why I was not taking spiriva and steroids. He confirmed that a person with severe COPD MUST use these medicines. But - I objected - they do not cure, they’re only supposed to make you feel a little better and have nasty adverse effects.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I'm still wheezing and have chest tightness when I exhale for 10 weeks now. I take Dulera/Singulair/Xopenex and Spiriva and sometimes Combivent. Is there a med like theophylline that can help me? I'm also having bad sleep apnea and am crippled by this and can't work or think because of my lung diseases. Is my sleep apnea caused by asthma or narrowed airway?
Avatar m tn Thanks for the input. My MD put me on Spiriva, and during the summer I experienced what felt like about 2/3 lung capacity. Symptoms improved when I went to the coast to get some "clean" air. When I got back to the valley I had a lung function test conducted, and the MD said Spiriva was not medically indicated. So now I'm not sure if I actually have COPD or not. Will take your advice and get a second opinion.
880023 tn?1241744504 I mostly completed my shopping list for the baby, except the travel system. I was wondering, if it worth waiting for the Thanksgiving sale to get it. I never really paid attention if they ever have anything like that on sale for Thanksgiving, but would assume stores like babiesrus would offer some sale. Anyone had experience with it?
Avatar m tn I use Albuterol, SPIRIVA and ADVAIR to control Asthma & COPD. I also take CRESTOR for cholesterol and ADVIL for arthritis. In the last month (after starting SPIRIVA), when I first wake up in the morning, my eyes "roll" from right to left in an arcing motion when I attempt to focus on something. After a few attempts to focus on an object (the clock on the clock radio), the movement stops and I'm fine. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Saw pulmonologist last February (winter) for acute onset of SOBE. FEV1 53%, DO 30%. He recommended CT scan and echocardiogram. I'm 63 female 112# 5'3" I also see a rheumotologist for UCTD and am on Placquenil and prednisone (5 mg or less QD during flares.) Was put on Spiriva and Symbicort. Had to stop Spiriva due to intolerable cholinergic effects. Am fine so far with just the Symbicort. Talked with Rheumy about value of CT scan and if it would change any of the treatments.
Avatar m tn t know if this is pertinent, but Advair caused such extreme coughing (almost incapacitating bronchitis) that I stopped using it. As for Spiriva, I find it extremely drying. I only use it every fourth day. On that regimen it helps. My lung health is actually much better and I am more comfortable since I gave up Advair, and my coughing is moderate. Advair also caused me to develop adrenal fatigue, which was quite dreadful, and I am still recovering from it.
Avatar n tn is it safe to use spiriva and advair together my sister has had laryngitis for 4 weeks
