Avatar n tn Try taking some motrin to relieve the stress you are going through which might be keeping you up. The meds do play on your brain, but they need to do their job. Good luck.
Avatar f tn ve taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose. I did find that the CR formula worked better for me, so am hoping my insurance will decide to cover it again soon.
Avatar m tn Yes I do, It was especially rough growing up and did not know it was something that could be treated. But have been ok for a long time and just wondered if anyone had any experience with the 2 OTC meds I mentioned. I was taking the Same-e hopeing it mite boost my mood and then read somewhere that it needed the B vitamins to work better. I suppose I should just leave them off and see. thanks for responding.
Avatar m tn HI methadone was never ment to be a get out of jail free card and rarely works for that it will be a few days because of the long 1/2 life of methadone then your hydro withdrawals will set back in dont be suprised when this happens.......time is all that will get you threw withdrawals without further narcotics wish you all the best good luck ..............
Avatar m tn I'm not too bright. Seems to me you're saying that a cumulative effect over the years I've been knocking myself out every night has somehow led to the loss of will to fight, thus the will to live? See, as surprising as it is to me, I've told folks here personal things that I believe are valid reasons for a person to be depressed. The depression isn't the mystery to me, that's natural. But I've been so much worse off, myself..
Avatar f tn The Z sleep meds, (Ambien & Sonata) can be hard to taper off due to their relatively short half life. Talk to your doctor about using a Dr Ashton style taper where you switch to valium & taper off that which should help minimize the side effects you experience. Your GABA receptors have become tolerant to these drugs & it won't get any better if you continue with them but you should be able to taper very slowly using valium without too much discomfort.
957301 tn?1257690688 I think that is so cool that you found music to be a motivator. I love it too and don't listen like I used to. Now you got me thinking of some music I miss and I think I will fire up the 'ol iPod! Thanks!
Avatar f tn You will not have w/d from ambien if you have only used it a few times. It is extremely addictive so be very careful with it. I used it for several months during w/d from hydros and then I had major problems from using the Ambien as prescribed NEVER abused it. It has taken me months to get over it. My sleep is just now returning to normal the ambien does more harm than good in the long run.
19606750 tn?1480880764 Wondered if anyone could recommend a good way of going about this in the UK (whether NHS or private, where and how) and how long to expect heeling period to be. Would it be likely for the fixed finger to become just as dexterous as the others once heeled, or am I being too hopeful? I'd appreciate any advise, thanks!
Avatar f tn My baby girl gets up every hour, and have tried numerous things to help her drift off again like rocking her to sleep, singing, put my top in her moses basket to get my scent, musical tunes with starry sky night light, but nothing works. I could be there for two hours trying to help her sleep, all for her to wake up again in an hours time! Any ideas please would be much appreciated.
Avatar m tn My last refill for percocet was 10/19 and 12/09 for ambien and that was my plastic surgeon. My surgeon refused to give me anything else. He told me to find a PCP and I did 12/17 but this FNP isn't addressing my pain/insomnia effectively. On 12/17/10 she wrote me a script for indocin and benadryl. This didn't work so on 12/23/10 she wrote a questionable or I'm not sure who wrote it for sonata, percocet, and dicflonac.
Avatar f tn this isnt likely to be any help but I saw an episode of House that was about this and all of there shows are based on true cases so it must be a real phenomona I would think a neurologist would be the first doctor to see.

Avatar n tn P.S. My suggestion for your sleeplessness is to make good use of the time you are awake during the night. I get up and do something quietly in another part of the house so I do not disturb anyone else. I read or balance the check book, or put in a load of clothes in the washer. Or go online and e-mail my friends and relatives. I have the freedom of going back to bed later when I am able to fall asleep. My life has changed and will not be as it was before. I can't have that life back.
4268628 tn?1375041176 So I am trying to figure out ideas for names. Our daughter is Cadence. We are having a boy this time and having a rough time figuring out a name. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn ve heard it was for antidepressant too, either way be careful not to move from one addiction to another.
1713150 tn?1314467342 I haven't been to Dr yet but I experienced my first Musical Ear Syndrome event a few weeks ago. Had a migraine, was in a very quiet environment and herd a Wal Mart commercial, then a DJ, and the beginning of a song. I immediately could tell it was localized to one ear and knew it was not from an outside source. But I was too I'll to really care. It lasted about 20 seconds. Later I researched & found MES information. I'm 42 with hearing loss and tinnitus.
Avatar f tn Xanax XR works the best for me and I have been taking it daily for over a year. If you know what works for you and your doctor is not willing to compromise or not even give a good reason as to why he/she prefers you take a different benzo, then a new doctor is in order.
Avatar n tn 5mg. It only lasts 4 hours but it works for me. I was recently given Bromazepam 3mg, but it did nothing.
Avatar f tn I remember blowing up peoples phones too all hours of the night. To be honest I feel really embarassed right now. that used to be me. All I can do is pray for her right now and hope for the best.Peace.
Avatar n tn Sometimes if your currents meds stop working as they used to, it can help to switch to somethign else for a while and then go back to what you were taking, so it might be if you tried the Lunesta again, you'd find that it helps once again. But there are other options to try - so please try not to get frustrated (I know that's very hard to do when you're not sleeping and totally exhausted!) Best of luck and let me know how you make out.
Avatar f tn I just had my baby shower this past saturday we gave out victoria secret body sprays i got 3lotions 3sprays first i gave out was for the first person who arrived then we played musical chairs then hot potatoe but instead of a potato it was a baby doll then the belly measuring one and i cnt remember the other games
Avatar n tn You need to do a web seach on the Ambien/zolpiedem. It is highly addictive and very hard to get off of. I used it for months during detox from lortabs to help with sleep and anixety and I can tell you that I think it slowed my withdrawal process down. I have started doing research on this drug the ambien. It is highly addictive more so than the Benzos like Xanax and valium etc and as hard to get off of as an opiate. Doctors are prescribing this medication and the lunesta for months and years.
