Common Questions and Answers about Sonata side effects medication

sonata

Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
1580703 tn?1651904887 The choice of the medication would depend on the clinical symptoms, their severity, desirable effects, the side effect profile, the presence or absence of comorbidities etc. Classifying one medication as better over the other is largely rather relative based on individual profile. It would be best to discuss the situation in detail with your treating neurologist for suggestion of an appropriate management plan. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar f tn klonopin is a great medicaiton for anxiety but for those random episodes you need to restart a SSRI medication such as zoloft. if zoloft worked great for you but you have side effects, get your doc to prescribe another medication in its class and you may be surprised to find out that you have no side effects from it. another option is to get your doctor to prescribe something specifically for insomnia such as ambien, sonata or trazodone.
1580703 tn?1651904887 Clonazepam is known to cause drowsiness and lack of muscle coordination as side effect. There are some rare effects also like uncontrolled body movement and twitching which can be distressful. this is a anti anxiety/anti convulsant of benzodiazepine group and your doctor prescribed you once he deemed that the beneficial effect dominates the anticipated and possible side effects.
Avatar n tn Since your panic attacks are happening less, are the headaches numerous and a reason that you cannot take the medication anymore? Or are some of the side effects okay with you now that your anxiety is much better? What does your prescribing doctor say about this? Headaches can also be caused by an endless number of factors in my opinon. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you still under a lot of stress? The point is, that the headaches may not even be related to the medication itself.

Avatar f tn Hi Jennifer, How are you? Medication side effects may or may not occur to patients. You were given pain medication, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antipsychotic/tranqulizer. You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any side effects from Depakote ER? My 24 year old son was just diagnosed with Seizures, after experiencing several episodes of lost of consciousness. Can anyone out there tell me if they have had constant nausea, fatigue and some heartburn from the medication?
Avatar f tn Did you taper off the vibryd or quit abruptly? You can't just switch from one medication to another even in the same class and avoid withdrawal -- these meds are not easy to stop taking and it must be done carefully. Unless you completely stop taking a medication before starting another it's impossible to tell if your symptoms are a sign you're suffering withdrawal and quit too quickly or are side effects of the new medication.
Avatar f tn It seems that every time I stop taking ambien for a few days and I'm feeling side effects. When I wake up my head is killing me, my kidneys are killing me, and I can't stop sudden movement. I have tried to stop several times though my doctors and with therapy but its like nothing works. I try to stick with it but if I have to deal with worst side effects. I can't believe I've been in this mess since '09 and I'm taking too many to even my prescriptions out.
Avatar m tn I doubt this combination would be approved if it was dangerous. But all drugs may have side effects, and if you get bothersome side effects, you should report them to your doctor. Good luck.
Avatar n tn s always a good idea to read the information the pharmacy includes with the medication so you are aware of what side effects are possible and what side effects may be something you need to contact your prescriber about. But yes, Headaches can be a side effect of beginning the medication. Usually ear ringing is associated with stopping the medication but has been reported while beginning it also in some.
Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?
