Avatar m tn What can someone in my situation do? After all these yrs I am in pain and unable to sleep. Is this dangerous to be whipped off of these meds like this?
Avatar m tn It's 8 in the morning and I did not take the Sonata last nite. A little jittery but not much. I think I will leave off all of it l off and see how it goes. Not much can be worse than the constant jitters.
Avatar m tn re not addictive such as melatonin or herbs or homeopathy -- much gentler than drugs, though nothing is consequence-free, Keep in mind that doctors in general are ignorant of the drugs they prescribe and completely oblivious to their more unpalatable consequences -- they're taught by pharmaceutical companies, and it;s bad for business to admit you might harm someone and bad for the emotional state required to go on as well. Very complicated stuff.
Avatar m tn They would have refill dicflonac, sonata came in nx Monday 12/27 and percocet nx Thur 12/30. I was concern myself cause dicflonac and percocet are both pain medication and my routine pharmacist questioned me so I decided to wait. I realized now how ambien and sonata could conflict but the surgeon didn't give me any refills but the pharmacist didn't mention any of this so I doubt doctor shopping is the reason. Everything just seem so weird or lack of communication.
Avatar n tn Hi while I was in treatment I took ambien and it got me maybe 3 hours at most. I had lot trouble sleeping and if I did sleep it was for very short periods of time. I took ambein for the last 4 months of my treatment. when I finished I took 1/2 pill till it was gone. maybe for a week with no addition but everyone is different. I took my rib at around 3 pm in afternoon but that did not seem to help either.
Avatar n tn Hi Ginny, Thalassemia minor is common in certain regions, often humid ones. It's genetic, so you may want to check out the Genetics Forum on Medhelp. It actually provides some immunity to malaria, thus serving a useful purpose. You can google it to find out more and connect with the Genetics Forum. I believe it's not a serious condition, unlike sickle cell. Could be wrong, though. This forum is geared to Hepatitis C. Do you also have that? All the best.

Avatar m tn I was involved in a minor fist fight with a person that HIV/ Hep C status is unknown. I punched him in the back of the head. I was wearing neoprene gloves not fighting gloves, just thin layered search gloves, I didn't observed the person to be bleeding but it was dark and I didn't have a great look. I observed my hand to be red but no cuts. Later that day I looked at my hand with a Magnifiying glass and observed a very microscopic non-bleeding red scrape.
Avatar f tn The only generality that comes to mind is that the impact of a lesion travels down, not up. If you have a lesion in your c-spine, symptoms generated by that lesion can appear from the lesion downward, toward your feet. It's unlikely that the c-spine lesion would effect your hearing for example. I have lesions in both my my cervical and thoracic spine, as well as in my brain. If you were to see me you would never think I had MS :-) Welcome to our group!
Avatar f tn I have taken 3 a day for that period and I am trying to wean myself off. I am scared to death... I can feel the anxiety and and depression already starting in.. I dont know if it is because I know what to expect or what. This week I also had another blow to my heart and emotions.. My 17 year old daugher moved out with a 25 year old man...
Avatar f tn Here in ky they just have to be in the back seat. But I am putting the infant seat with base in the middle, my daughters booster (3 in 1seat) on passenger side and my sons (5) regular booster on driver side that way I can just take it out super quick when getting baby in and out. I have an 05 impala and it works.
Avatar f tn I fell on on black ice the other night & hurt myself pretty bad. I can't walk by myself, right now I'm having to use a walker to get around. It's more of my pelvic bone than anything. I'm 37 weeks & I'm nervous that I won't heal in time for babies birth. If im not healed I'm starting to think I would have to have a c section & that's like my biggest fear. Are they really as bad & terrifying as everyone talks about?
Avatar n tn Recently, I have begun having some mild sensory changes in the skin of the outside of my upper right arm, and I also noticed that my left middle finger was spasming along with some clumsiness in my left hand. I have had some minor difficulty typing on keyboard. Later, I had some clumsiness in my right hand and then was left with the sensory changes in the skin of my upper right arm.
Avatar f tn To top this off, I am a very light sleeper and have to use earplugs and white noise in order to fall asleep. My doc gave me Seroquel and it works great, have been on it for about 7-8 years. I do not take it every night because of the weight gain. I also take over the counter stuff when I dont take my seroquel. I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation about 3 years and had surgery to help treat it. I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep.
1636357 tn?1300254494 Actually people from any race or birth descent can get beta thalessemia minor. It is just more frequent in people of Greek and Italian origin. Hence even though you are of Scotch-Irish descent you can get this trait which is popularly called Mediterranean blood disease as it is more common in them. Take care!
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes
Avatar f tn Mine is Celtic music for some reason the baby loves it and kicks when I play it lol
Avatar n tn I experienced some minor bleeding at 6.5 weeks. First it was brown, then it stopped for about 24 hours, then it came back again, this time reddish brown. It continued for about another 24 hours - I even passed a few small clots. The first u/s showed "questionable heterogeneity" around the placenta but a strong hb - this was during the 24 when I wasn't bleeding.
Avatar n tn If morning saliva was poisonous, we would all be dead. In some cultures, they use morning saliva to massage babies minor birth defects. The old ladies in Indonesia swear by it. I don't know if any of this has been scientifically proven, but it sure is not poisonous.
20794198 tn?1534529493 Criteria for diagnosing ARVD/C was initially proposed in 1994, then updated in 2010: This chart compares the old and new: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/heart_vascular_institute/clinical_services/centers_excellence/arvd/_pdf/arvd_checklist_comparison.pdf. You can use the column on the right, and check to see how many major and minor criteria you meet.
Avatar m tn Hep C can be transmitted through barber clippers when the clippers have infected blood on them and cause a cut or nick in the scalp. That is why barbers are instructed to clean the clippers in between customers with a cleanser called Barbesol which kills the HCV. Im not sure about the wound size and the factor that would play in transmission. All it takes is infected blood being able to enter ones blood stream whether that be through a large or small wound...
Avatar n tn my dr just put me on sonata for sleep and i am being treated for add w/ritalin,lamictal for bpd, wellbrutrin depression, and nerourotin for nerve pain and a few days ago i started grinding my teeth together, looks like i am chewing gum all the time and i also am making grunting sounds.
Avatar f tn It seems that every time I stop taking ambien for a few days and I'm feeling side effects. When I wake up my head is killing me, my kidneys are killing me, and I can't stop sudden movement. I have tried to stop several times though my doctors and with therapy but its like nothing works. I try to stick with it but if I have to deal with worst side effects. I can't believe I've been in this mess since '09 and I'm taking too many to even my prescriptions out.

5987839 tn?1381922502 I haven't found anything on Google or otherwise about this and am curious about other people's experience. Bottom line: if someone has "legit" disc issues (bulging or herniated discs) in back, can the pain or numbness also be associated w MS, or does MS get ignored in those cases due to the disc issues? In other words - are the symptoms from disc issues definitely NOT MS symptoms? My story - still waiting for a diagnosis (or not). Optic Neuritis last month.
