924193 tn?1243876373 The pain first showed up about 10 years ago when I was playing cello regularly (2+ hours a day). Minor at first, the pain became more immediate and more intense during manual activities such as cello playing and writing. Eventually, I decided to take 3 months off cello to rest, and met with a performance therapist who said he was unfamiliar with the particular symptom, but who recommended I see a PT.
Avatar f tn Mine is Celtic music for some reason the baby loves it and kicks when I play it lol
Avatar m tn I'm a musician. I play guitar and cello. Now, I've played guitar long enough where I over time developed calluses on my finger tips. However, now for cello I need a callus on the side of my thumb for a certain technique but I don't have time to develop it for weeks or months. If I regularly cut away at my thumb with a razor or something will a callus still build by means of artificial friction ?
Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
Avatar n tn He is very good at sport and seems to behave well for other people. We have been to a child psychologist in the past to gain skills to deal with him, which worked for a while, but as he gets older are ineffective. We set him boundaries and reward good behavior, but unfortunatley we, like all humans have a breaking point and sometimes lose our temper due to the constant stress. This behaviour is severely straining our marriage and our family dynamic. Please help with some advice.
Avatar m tn one night i decided to sit down and play the piano---i played for quite awhile and eventually my wrists started top hurt---but i think that was a carpal tunnel thing, not an arthritis thing. i worry that my arthritis could eventually get bad enough to affect my piano playing. i have atopic dermatitis and it can make my fingers hurt more than my arthritis does. i assume that what i have is osteoarthritis, but no one ever has said that for sure.
Avatar m tn It all started when one day I played the piano and guitar for several hours. The following morning my wrist hurt and were going numb. I had no swelling. I waited a couple days, then when I thought I was ok I lifted some weights. I realized it wasn't better. School made it impossible for my wrists to recover. I tried playing the piano a week later, but they still hurt. For months I've been trying to let them recover, but they won't.
Avatar m tn And now every time I turn my left wrist to the far left (not just side to side but also when in the far left position and then moving up and down) there seems to be a pop/click (more of a pop though). There is absolutely NO PAIN, but it's very annoying as it interrupts the smooth progression when playing piano. Is this an issue that I need to see a doctor for? or will resting eventually heal the wrist? A google search yielded this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn I am 20 week's and a day and I was wondering does it matter what type if music you play for your baby while it's in the womb, like could I play soft country or Idk bluegrass? I've been told gospel is really good. Any suggestions?

1031272 tn?1252353556 Oh, I forgot to say, our table was by the fireplace. He had the biggest, juciest steak, and double baked potato, we had a bottle of champaign and my ring is hugh and to die for and I think I'll keep him!
Avatar m tn They would have refill dicflonac, sonata came in nx Monday 12/27 and percocet nx Thur 12/30. I was concern myself cause dicflonac and percocet are both pain medication and my routine pharmacist questioned me so I decided to wait. I realized now how ambien and sonata could conflict but the surgeon didn't give me any refills but the pharmacist didn't mention any of this so I doubt doctor shopping is the reason. Everything just seem so weird or lack of communication.
Avatar f tn May God watch over you and hold your hand through this surgery. I'll pray for peace in your mind and a safe surgery and an outcome of pure bliss. I hope everything goes so wonderful for you and you have no pain afterwards and be completely better. May the Lord shine His grace upon you this day and forever after. Update us when you can.
Avatar n tn I was working on the Mendelssohn violin concerto in E minor on violin and jazz piano on the piano after taking classical training since I was four. The last thing that I worked on was Gershwin's concerto in F 3rd movement. I just feel stunned from this constant feeling. Almost like something was stuck to my brain behind my eyebrows. This feeling was especially constant on the right side of my head, behind my eyebrow and to the center when I took geodin. It's still there.
Avatar f tn To top this off, I am a very light sleeper and have to use earplugs and white noise in order to fall asleep. My doc gave me Seroquel and it works great, have been on it for about 7-8 years. I do not take it every night because of the weight gain. I also take over the counter stuff when I dont take my seroquel. I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation about 3 years and had surgery to help treat it. I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep.
649848 tn?1534633700 Good morning, everyone. I hope you've all got a good day in process. We were lucky enough to get some rain last night (0.69") - not a lot, but when you need it, every little bit helps. I'm hoping that my plants will start getting green again, since many of them are turning brown from being too dry. It's been a pretty quiet week, so I've had time to get in plenty of calligraphy practice, along with a few other things.
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
Avatar f tn I woke up this morning feeling fine, but as I was watching videos on my phone the sound changed. It sounds like almost robot like in my ears, distortion forsure and I'm freaking out. I play piano and all my music sounds off key! What the hell is happening? I'm 28 so its not hearing loss!? Please help.
Avatar n tn A monofocal lens does let you see well within a small range of distances, so if you were doing monovision, one eye being set for distance and one eye being set for near, you could set one eye at -1D, 1 diopter myopic, or perhaps 1.25D myopic, and that would likely let you see that sheet music well enough, with -1.5D being better but risking more trouble adapting to the monovision and reduction of stereopsis, 3D visual perception.
Avatar n tn Have heavy numbness in both hands when using small garden tools, sleeping, driving or playing the piano, any idea what the cause could be?
Avatar m tn I realized while playing piano that if I played the G6 with my ear near the instrument, my ear seemed to forget about the tinnitus for awhile. So I would go to the piano and play the note for five minutes, and my tinnitus would be alleviated for an hour. Eventually, I found an audio file of the frequency, and I cranked it in to my ears for about 20 minutes to half an hour.
Avatar n tn Hi, I had experienced the same pains for months, and was tested for all auto immune diseases, and all blood test came back normal. My Doctor did find Parvovirus B19. It's also called fifth disease. It's a common disease children get, and can pass to adults that are not immune to it. In children, it causes flu like symtoms and bright red cheeks. Adults do not get the red cheeks, but women ( more than men) develope Arthritis.
Avatar f tn How are you taking that many at a time and still alive broski? You took 30 of the ambien 10 mg in three days? What's your dosing routine? Do you take them during the day or just at night? Withdrawal from Ambien can be life threatening just like benzos. Your best bet would be to see your doctor and be honest with what is going on here and see about seeking some help with this mess you're in. I take one 10 mg Zolpidem a night and cannot fathom taking more than that.

11119474 tn?1428702170 A prodigy of sorts, playing piano by ear at 7 years old and I had him in classical lessons for 10 years beginning at age 10. He still preferred to play by ear and compose only the music in his head. Interested in seeing my boy in action? I'm more than happy to show him off to any of you who might be interested. He was also an accomplished drummer and guitarist... and well as vocalist. He performed in live performances from the age of 7 throughout his life.
