I just finished 3 days of IV Solumedrol.. I feel horrible, swollen painful lymph nodes in clavical, cerevical and back of neck, my ears hurt ...Has anyone ever had this after solumedrol? I have done solumedrol before but do not recall ever feeling this poorly.

Solitary sub centimeter right sided mesorectal lymph node seen as well as bilateral borderline inguinal nodes with preservation of normal node architecture in keeping with reactive nodes. Also, impression of slight mural thickening of the rectum.

The normal function of a lymph node is to act as filters.The size of a lymph node ranges from a couple of millimeters to about a centimeter. When there is infection or inflammation somewhere in the body, a lymph node may enlarge.The purpose of watching an enlarged lymph node is to ensure that the lymph node is not continuing to grow. An enlarged lymph node doesn't necessarily mean cancer...and a 6 months follow up is the usual recommendation.

2-3 days after surgery, another lymph node near the same area popped up. This lymph node is very hard and fixed, the lymph node that was removed was pliable and much softer. We go back to her pediatrician this Friday,and she is going to send us for an ultrasound and then go from there. The ENT/surgeon was stumped about this new node, and by speaking with her pediatrician, she is as well. Does ANYONE have any experience with this kind of thing? Thanks!

No, the ultrasound just shows whether it's a lymph node is swollen or if there's a growth that's not a lymph node.

I have read that lymph swelling would be more generalized in HIV infection rather than just on small node. Any thoughts?

Anyway, he said that he is putting in his report that it is a nonspecific lymph node to follow clinically). He also doesn't think it is the one I am feeling. So far no Dr. has felt this large lymph node on exam. Anyway, I should also mention that I have had 2 breast augmentation through the axillary area (1996 and 2000). SHould I be worried? With a normal mammo could it still be cancer? Please advise and thank you for your time. No history of breast cancer in family.

d like to know if you think it could be a Lymph node? I am 39 years old, and have had a lymph node biopsied from my neck when I was 20. I guess that has always been on my mind, and makes me a little paranoid where lymph nodes are concerned. I also had 3 biopsies of calcifications in my breast (both breasts) when I was 33. So again-a little paranoid about breast cancer also! Not looking for a diagnosis-just would like to know the odds of it being a Lymph node.

8 cm irregularly marginated soft mass within the left lobe . there is a 1.5 X0.7 cm lymph node in the left helium .does this mean that the lymph node is cancer too? they never mentioed it at doctors appointment only the lung mass and bone mets........

I had a protected sex with csw about 2 weeks ago and have been feeling fatigue few days after the exposure and been having throbbing pain under the armpit and the groin area (lymph node). I saw a family physician last week and he didn't notice any swollen lymph node. I so have to admit I have toching and pinching the nodes since last week and curious to know if thats causing the pain. Can fatigue set in after few days after exposure?

You DON"T self inspect your lymph nodes. Swollen lymph nodes need to be assessed and diagnosed by a health care professional ONLY. Lymph nodes in their normal state are commonly palpable......which is why only a health care professional can determine if they are swollen.

Do u mean that swelling I have cant be lymph node and hence cant be taken as symtom of HIV..

is swollen lymph node as a primary HIV infection cause .. is it tender or Hard.

my question is that i didnot have any of the ars symptoms,no rash or anything but i do have a swollen non painful,movable lymph node on the left side of my throat since like 2,3 months....i read that lymph nodes swell during ars,how long after ars do they return to normal and finally after getting back to normal in what stage like how many months.years after ars do they swell up again? please give me a detailed reply...

I had a panic attack last night because I think there's a lymph node swollen behind my ear like right under it tucked behind my jaw. I'm freaking out. I keep checking it and it's still there. And last night when I felt it I had this feeling that this was it. This is the one time I'm gonna have cancer. And then I just freaked out.
