But long qt was measured during tilt table test and my 24 hour holter test and stress tests did not mention long qt. holster test was normal. I am taking the Metaprolol Succinate. My cardiologist is checking into if my insurance will cover genetic testing. Either way I will gladly pay to get genetic testing for LQTS. My grandfather on my mom's side died in his thirties but she and my dad came from large families and that is the only relative who died young and I think it was a heart issue.

Can I take Metoprolol Succinate and Indole 3 Carbinol without any drug interactions?
I have been taking Metoprolol Succinate for tachycardia for a few years now and have gained weight I was watching the Dr. Oz show and he recommended takig Indole 3 Carbinol for people who carry more weight on the bottom half of their body. It just being vegetables wouldnt seem to effect anything, but I'm juat asking to be on the safe side. I have tried doing my own research but I have not found anything.
My doctor prescribed me trazodone hydrochloride for anxiety, sumatriptan succinate for migraines, zopiclone for sleep, I've been told I can take the trazodone with zopiclone, but I have the new sumatriptan tablets, it says in the medical pamphlet that it is an MAO-A inhibitor and can't be taken with antidepressants/anxiety tablets.
Would it be ok to take both the trazodone hydrochloride and the sumatriptin succinate together?

My husband also has irregular heart rate and this week we got him switched back from generic metoprolol succinate to toprol XL and lo and behold he is back in good heart rhythm. That got me thinking if indeed my problem could be similiar.......one thing that has really upset me is that after my heart attack my EF was at 42% and it has dropped to 30% and again wonder if I need to be on diferent drugs. My dr thinks that isn't the answer but I'm not sure......

I take the toprol xl and I use the generic and it cost me roughly $20 and I take 125mg twice a day. but you must make sure it is the generic for toprol xl because there is metoprolol succinate which is the generic for toprol xl and metoprolol tartrate which is the generic for lopressor. They both work in two different ways so they can not be interchanged at the same dose. I asked this question before toprol xl became a generic.
My docror reduced my Diovan to 40 mg and gave me Metoprolol Succinate 25 mg because he said my resting heart rate was in the upper 80's. I started having strange feelings while sleeping, like my heart or stomach was shivering and I used to wake up at night after a few hours of sleep because of this feeling. I was still feeling dizzy and I wanted to stop the Diovan or the Metoprolol Succinate. My cardiologist said I should continue the Metoprolol succ and I can stop the Diovan.
In an attempt to avoid an ablation for SVTs & going to the Emergency Department lately once a month to get converted with IV medication, (I'm older with co-morbidities, there's a pandemic, & really, my ElectroPhysiologist doesn't have a lot of experience doing ablations), my EP & I are trying different medications. I'm increasing metoprolol succinate (the extended release one) from 25 mg to 37.5 mg.
I have been with the same manufacturer of metoprolol succinate for 2 years and had no problems and now they went out of business and the new manufacturer of the same medication isn't working for me!
But I developed a very embarrassing facial blushing problem which was helped by taking beta blockers (metoprolol succinate). Finally, around October 2010, my levels began to go hypo (TSH=13.8). So he put me on 25 mg levothyroxine and 50 mg metoprolol succinate.
I will get my blood checked tomorrow but I bet it will show hypo. I think he will up my dose to 50 mg synthroid which will be good because I'm suffering from constipation and sluggishness and other hypo problems.
5 year ago and had very short period (2 days) of AF post-surgery. I have been taking Metoprolol Succinate 47.5mg/day for 8 months as long term essential medication for HCM. My daily pulse is around 45-55 bpm and occasionally feel lightheadedness. I recently had one FAINT when I rested at a sofa. It lasted for about 5 seconds. My pulse was 50 immediately after recovery.
Try taking unisom at night the one with Doxylamine succinate in it. It's safe to take and does wonders for nausea and vomiting!
i have to pee every 5 mins. wen i try to get a good night sleep i have to wake up every 30 mins to pee sometimes i wet myself. even in public i wet myself. it's so embarassing! but it comes and goes. also when i pee it feels like an orgasm and wen i'm done i feel like i've got to go again. any suggestions???
ive done it folks , anyone reading this forum can do this . i know my last hurdle will be sleep , but what an easy price , one month of being tired , hell i did that when i was young and went out all the time , lol . take some time off work , get your mind right , and do the research on the things you need . mine was an ensure , a strong daily vitamin with high b12 , bananas , apples , oranges immodium ad , and most off all ibuprofen . why take tylenol pm ?
Please could you tell me if using OTC Unisom (12mgs Doxylamine Succinate) to help sleep (have severe insomnia for decades now) - could this lead to the severe hyper acidity I have? I take Nexium 40mg's twice a day, sometimes even three but it does not seem to help. Gastro-scope showed no signs of an ulcer just a very severe inflammation.
Family Dr says Unisom or other anti-histamines cannot cause gastric problems. I read differently on the internet and am very confused now.
Hello everyone, I've had palpitations for the last month usually triggered by a change in position, I've had them in the past, I took fleccainide for them and the palpitations subsided. Eventually I weaned off of the drug. Had no palpitations for a solid 6-7 months then they came back. the main ingredient is doxylamine succinate...very inexpensive and doesn t make me feel groggy in the morning...take about 40 mins before bed. there is also tylenol pm and i think a bayer aspirin for nightime depending on what you can take...hope you get some zzzz s....it took me about 8 weeks...
