You can also download NOOM App for free or go to My Fitness Pal online and use thier calorie counters to track your food caloric intake vs. out put. Avatar m tn I'm 24, 5'7", 204 lbs currently. I recently (since March) have lost 20 lbs through diet and exercise but it seems like I'm at a stand still, and in the last week I have actually gained a pound and a half even though my diet and exercise regimen has not changed.

Were you talking bout the 100 cal. snack packs? if so thats the ones i use i have a slim fast for breakfast with one it works pretty good! but only have one of those per day cus the carbs are lil bit yucky so thats all i have one per day!!
Avatar f tn Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.

Avatar f tn Just wanted to add that I, and a friend of mine, too, upon first trying Slim Fast thought there was magic in the shake, and thought we could eat whatever we wanted and take the shake and it would somehow do the work for you. Heh, well I learned you can't do a meal and a shake and that the secret is that it is about 200 calories per can, and it fills you up with protein, vitamins and minerals, so you don't get hungry.

Avatar n tn i am a 20 year old girl, and i currently weigh 116 lbs. i'm 5'5 in height. last year, around october, the parties lined up almost everyday, and as a result, i gained around 6-8 lbs. even before that, i guess i hadn't really kept track of what i was eating, as i was used to having a slim body and felt i could eat as much without gaining as much. however, i think the food binge was what did me in. i used to have a totally flat stomach, and a 27inch waistline.

Decrease your total daily caloric intake by 500 to 750 calories per day. A caloric reduction is needed to lose weight. You can find your maintenance calorie intake by using a standard calorie calculator. Maintenance calories are those needed to maintain your body as it is.

I eat a yogurt everyday cus i know that helps and i make a pretty good supper what i can anyways i dont have a stove yet. I didnt even bring my fryer over from in laws i could be eating corn dogs and french fries every nite but nope i was good left it over there and it stay over there lol!!
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.

655875 tn?1295695107 Hello, I thought I would stop by and join this group. I injured my neck almost two years ago and it lead to spinal cord damage and herniated discs. I had a single fusion one year ago to relieve one of the three discs. I'm left with severe chronic pain and limited to any physical activities. I use to run 36 miles a week, but since I quit running I've gained a bit of weight. I'm just now trying to get this weight I've gained off.
Avatar f tn It doesn't require some "special" foods to loose weight. What matters is the total calories you consume and what your body needs for your weight. Lets just say your current weight, you have been consuming 2400 calories to be maintaining that weight. If you burnt more calories (exercise) and maintained your same eating habits you will loose weight. Just like money in your bank account: if you spend more than you bring in your account gets smaller.

I need to be realistic I can't spend the rest of my life cutting this food and that food and going to extremes I need to be able to eat "normal" can I go to family picnic and eat whats there just smaller portions and stay a relitively normal weight We live in the country my family eats meatloaf and macaroni salad if you know what I mean.

655875 tn?1295695107 Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Avatar f tn I saw a diet on the news about where you eat what you want for 5 days and then only limit yourself to 500 calories on 2 days. Supposedly the people who try it say it works for them and also makes them less hungry on days that they can eat whatever they want. I would like to try it. When I heard about it yesterday it was only noon, and I hadn't eaten anything but breakfast. So I did a fasting day and ended up only eating about 650 calories yesterday.

I am doing great, lost 22 lbs just eating right and exercising without even trying. My skin is getting flabby and I've reached a plateau in the weight loss. I am 5'1" and still 154 lbs. I read about Slim Wrap which was on the Tyra Banks show and many others & is supposed to be a safe way to lose inches by tightening fat and skin.

That means you need that many calories to maintain your current weight. 1 pound = 3500 calories, so in order to lose a pound a week, you have to eliminate or use 3500 calories in a week. You can do that by cutting 500 calories/day, but that would make your caloric intake too little (never go below 1200 calories). You can also cut 250 calories/day from your diet and use up 250 calories/day in exercise.
