My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.

655875 tn?1295695107 Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Avatar n tn In my opinion all those diet pills lose weight fast etc there all not good for you nor do they have a long term affect in order to keep the weight off you will proly have to contine with taking them.
Avatar m tn When I used to work-out till couple of years back, I was very slim. Due to some physical injury/disc bulge during exercise, I stopped work-outs in the last 2 years. I gained substantial weight now. My doctors have advised me not to do workouts, and it will aggravate the pain. I have no idea how to reduce my weight without exercise. 1707055 tn?1316144521 First off, there is no healthy way to drop pounds fast. When you lose weight, you want to do it slowly in order to keep the pounds off and have the weight loss last. Second, according to your weight tracker status on your profile, you are already in a healthy weight range, so why are you trying to lose more weight? It's not healthy to go below a certain weight and your body needs many nutrients, especially as a growing teen.
Avatar n tn i dont think you can be "fit" without any exercise. you can slim down w/diet, but if you want to be physically fit exercise is a must. i HATE exercise or going to the gym, but ive been walking/jogging/running and now i love it. i guess its become a habit and i try to find other things to do vs having to be in a gym for x amount of time. like i go outside and play soccer with my son, and playing with him. and on the weekends we do major walking. walk to the park, play go home.

Avatar n tn You need to diet and do cardio exercise like Interval training. Pick the exercises that work your thighs. google it. You will lose weight and tone your thighs. Diet is very important. Get the OK from your Doctor first.

655875 tn?1295695107 Hello, I thought I would stop by and join this group. I injured my neck almost two years ago and it lead to spinal cord damage and herniated discs. I had a single fusion one year ago to relieve one of the three discs. I'm left with severe chronic pain and limited to any physical activities. I use to run 36 miles a week, but since I quit running I've gained a bit of weight. I'm just now trying to get this weight I've gained off.
Avatar n tn The best way to find a diet that you will stick with is by googling diet plans. Read up on each one and find which one you will like the best. Personally, I couldn't go without some carbohydrates in my diet. Maybe you are stronger than me though. I have seen it work but usually the person breaks and goes back to carbohydrates and gains all the weight back. Some carbohydrates can be good for you.
Avatar f tn Have you had your thyroid checked to make sure you don't have hypothyroidism? Slim quik is a question to ask your doctor, as we can't tell you how this might affect a single kidney...... Maybe you need to take another look at your diet and exercise (i.e too many calories/not enough exercise), or get tested for other metabolic issues.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't take diet pills while breastfeeding it will transfer to the baby. So you still have to watch what you eat. What I was told after having my daughter is not to diet and breastfeed just eat a balanced healthy diet . And honestly breastfeeding caused me to lose a lot of weight on its own. If you don't eat enough you'll start to feel nauseous and dizzy after each feeding.

For diet, I have two GNC lean shakes (comparable to Slim Fast I'd say) - one for breakfast, one for lunch, I usually have a snack mid-morning (yogurt or fruit), a snack mid-afternoon (fruit or pretzels), and a sensible dinner. I'd say I eat about 900-1100 calories per day.
Avatar f tn ie, gum, breath mint, etc. I have tried other diets ( atkins, slim fast, etc.) But I am not disciplined enough and fall off the diet after a couple of weeks. Good luck!
