1637739 tn?1371688706 Restlessness can come from many factors, such as medications, stress or could be from MS? I think I've read that most MS'ers have problems with sleeping more than having too much sleep. You don't appear depressed from your past posts that I've seen. You sound chipper, happy-go-lucky and someone who takes the "bull by its horns" type person. Although, here on a forum, text can be deceiving.

Avatar m tn These disorders can be like obstructive sleep apnea, wherein during sleep there is an obstruction to air flow due to laxity of the throat muscles during sleep and this could cause restlessness. Hence for therapy CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is used to keep it patent. Another cause could be an entity called restless leg syndrome, where there is an odd sensation in the legs during sleep causing the individual to move, which relieves the sensation.
Avatar f tn I have a Walker Hound dog who is a rescue and is about eight or none years old.Lately she has taken to pacing around the bedroom. Scratching, and going from her bed to another bed on the master bedroom balcony. She is doing this all night long. Back and forth and sometimes walking into the bathroom then coming back out to her original spot. Needless to say I don't get any sleep. During the day she is whinningat me as if trying to tell me something.
1935826 tn?1323883580 You should stop becoming anxious about sleep as this becomes a vicious cycle and you may face problems falling asleep. There is a circadian rhythm for all living organisms. It is a 24 hour cycle rhythm and the biological clock within that individual adapts to this rhythm. If you observe this rhythm, the transition happens gradually, like the daylight subsides slowly into darkness and the sounds too gradually mellow down into the night. These changes condition us and promote sleep.

Avatar m tn Less sleep / lack of rest giving rise to brain restlessness. This further causes less sleep. Also this leads to insecure mind causing palpitations. Please understand that it's really a cyclic relations. I am sorry but i will not be able to prescribe any form of medications through this forum as i have not examined you physically. But i would advice you to have a Rheumatologist as well as a General Physician consultation, so that both can address to your problems at the same time.
Avatar m tn Dry mouth could occur with obstructive sleep apnea, wherein during sleep there is an obstruction to air flow due to laxity of the throat muscles during sleep and this could cause restlessness and dryness of mouth. It can also occur due to salivary gland disorders like Sjogren's syndrome. Discuss these options with your doctor when you happen to meet him next time. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Does it take a long time for CPAP to start working? I was taking some sleeping pills and melatonin. Should I use a full face mask or standard nose mask with CPAP? Thanks very much!

Avatar f tn Your symptoms could be due to obstructive sleep apnea, wherein during sleep there is an obstruction to air flow due to laxity of the throat muscles and the tongue falls back, during sleep and this could cause restlessness. Hence for therapy CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is used to keep it patent. Avatar n tn Seeing as you have been on them for a short time you should be able sleep and get rid of the restlessness in about 2 more days. I do not know what your sleep patterns were like before the T3 but that seems to be the last thing to come back. You might try walking or hot bath for the restlessness and a hot shower right before you lay down it might help you to get a couple hours of sleep. Good on you that you stopped taking T3 when the pain was know more...
