Skelaxin with tylenol

Common Questions and Answers about Skelaxin with tylenol

skelaxin

Avatar f tn I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a transfer migraine last August. It started on Aug 1st and hasn't left me since. It's been an agonizing 6 months. It's called transfer migraine because it moves all over my head. I've never had one of those common migraines where the light bothers me or I get nauseated or see auras, etc. My migraines have been "light" headaches that stay with me for a few days: from 3 to five days at the most.
Avatar m tn Hello youngdude421. Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.
Avatar f tn My pain was caused mostly by horrible muscle spasms and Skelaxin helped with that. I also find that eating a healthy diet low in processed foods, no msg, lots of whole grains and fresh or fresh frozen vegatables and limited sugar (I use Splenda, aspartame gives me migraines) helps a lot. Also, I stay on top of my thyroid. Thyroid issues can mimic FMS and can make things worse. I have mine checked a few times a year with a TSH test and have doc do a FULL thyroid panel at least once a year...
Avatar f tn My experience with Skelaxin...Like what was said before anything can be addicting but the likelyhood of someone saying 'wow this is cool" not gonna happen. The only side effect that would be wanted in it makes u sleepy, but no euphoria feeling or high feeling. Now if he would combine it with other meds watch out for that.
Avatar f tn I have been on so many meds and the only thing that helps is percocet. Any suggestions? My doc wants mue on thelonger acting meds with minimal break through meds. I dont do well on oxycontin, any suggestions?
Avatar m tn In 1994 I had suffered a sub-arachnoid hemmorage(anueurysm) on the outer left side of my brain. I had it clipped, and the surgery involved some cutting into some muscle tissue in the jaw as well as surgical buttons to seal the bone flap they had cut open. I still have chronic pain from the surgery site(mostly the jaw and sometimes the site where it was cut open), but not like the section of the brain where it happened.
Avatar f tn t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!
Avatar m tn Haven't had any experience with Skelaxin, but just wanted to ask if you've had any steroid blocker injections? I think that's what it is called. My husband had been having severe back spasms and just had this blocker injection done two weeks ago. Two days after the injection he was good as new and it's still working. My husband couldn't sleep either, woke up in the middle of the night, etc. Good luck to ya!
Avatar f tn oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.
Avatar m tn m in recovery and not gonna let a muscle pill make me use if it that type of med. anyone with experience with soma please reply.
450140 tn?1317947304 The neck pain is still unbearable! I was put on CYMBALTA about 5 weeks ago, and have been fighting with nauseua with that. Today, my neuro suggested i try SKELAXIN (muscle relaxer) for the spasams I am experiencing. I will start those tomorrow. It says take 3x a day, every 8 hours. And if need be a 4th one can be taken. Does this sound right ........every 8 hours?? Please tell me what you think. I pray that everyone is doing ok. This limboland is really taking its toll on me and my family.
Avatar m tn The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.
Avatar n tn I have had some kind of cold/flu, sinusitis (all in one) for about three weeks. Finally I went to the doctor she prescribes antibiotics, anticough medicine etc. I also developed somehow a muscle spams around my neck aparently due to excesive coughing. The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help.
402205 tn?1230481005 i currently take flexiril, i dont think its addicting at all, i actually think it helps alot with withdrawals all the rls and muscle cramps yunno, i was prescribed them for a pulled muscle in my back and they seem to work pretty good
Avatar f tn I have a terrible cold and was wondering if tylenol with codeine would help? Doc gave me some for pain few months ago. Not sure if cold meds is safe during pregnancy...
Avatar f tn As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
Avatar f tn I also take meds for hypothyroid, depression (sertraline hcl), anxiety (PTSD), skelaxin, prn cyclobenzaprine (not with other meds), now tramadol hcl. Can someone validate my concern about waiting? Am I rightfully concerned or anxious?
Avatar f tn alcoholic liver disease can sometimes dramatically regress with sobriety. patients can live decades with cirrhosis. they are however at risk for developing hepatocellular carcinoma.

Avatar f tn I took tylenol with both my 10 year old and my 6 year old when I was preggo with them and they turned out fine.
Avatar f tn Tylenol has been around for years pregnant women have taken it for years I take oxycodone with Tylenol twice a day. Its safe and I dont believe the new bs study that came out. I think your tummy got upset because u didn't eat something while taking it or because of morning sickness.
