skelaxin and clonazepam

Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!

I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.

so where u on 4mg a day of ativan and now u swtiched to clonazepam? if so i think the taper/addition of klonopin/lclonazepam has to be done miticulously. ask RCA/Ryan about this. he as schedules for things like this and for tapering successfully. i know valium is used alot to get people off of clonazepam along with a taper schedule. i'm pretty sure the klonopin isn't causing the shakiness and sweating. it's either withdrawls from the ativan or your underlying anxiety returning.

I take Effexor with Clonazepam. I take 1 mg of clonazepam in the morning together with Effexor and my anxiety is stable all day long. I even went through a separation which would not be possible if i stayed on my previous meds such as celexa and paxil. You can take Clonazepam before zoloft why not? But if zoloft doesn't work ask your doctor about effexor. Just be carefull because effexor shouldn't be mixed with other antidepressants. Do it only under your doctors supervision.

Clonazepam and Cymbalta are safe together and are often prescribed together. But if you're getting weird symptoms from the clonazepam, you should contact your doctor about this and ask him how to taper off. You need to take something for the panic attacks, so going back to your doctor is advisable to determine if maybe the Cymbalta alone is the way to go.

My new doctor took me off Clonazepam and put me on 1 mg Ativan 3 times a day. I think the change was too drastic. I am having withdrawals and am very scared.

I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".

I would talk with the doctor prescribing the Clonazepam before adding anything like this. If you're wanting to add more I assume it's because the Clonazepam isn't working, and if this is the case, you need to let your doctor know this. Don't mix anything like this, you have no way of knowing what will happen.

Hi Ryan, I have been taking 2mg of clonazepam 2x daily for about a year and I was taking 2mg of xanax for traveling on air plains not daily. That has stopped I am now taking around 8mg of xanax a day and 6 mg of clonazepam a day. Plus I take 100mg of zoloft daily. I have been doing this for about the last six months. I would actually like to stay on the clonazepam at my original dosage but I want to get of the xanax and someday the zoloft as well.

I stick to the natural remedies for colds and flu to avoid the high alcohol content and sedative properties of cold and flu remedies in the drug store, and some decongestants have stimulants in them that can cause anxiety.

Can someone help me and let me know which one yall would think would be better to take zoloft or clonzapam i dont know which one to take....I was prescribe zoloft from my Doc and clonzapam from the HOSP so i was wondering if someone can help me and give me there advice...

t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!

So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.5) and try this Skelaxin and let me know in 3 months how your doing. I have really tried to cut back on the hydro but my back hurts so bad it wakes me up (when I can sleep). Please let me know if any of you have had any experence with this for back spasms. Thanks.

oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.

Hi I use when needed clonazepam for irritability, I have Bipolar Disorder and I am on Lithium and Seroquel also, and Prozac when depressed, clonazepam when either low or high as an extra weapon to curb my snappy head. problem i find if used too regularly when depressed is it can make me worse.

I have been on clonazepam and remeron since November 2009, was diagnosed with GAD and depression. First, my doses were 3 mg of clonazepam and 15 mg of remeron.Then, in 2 months I started to feel better and went to 2 mg of clonazepam. No problem then. Then I started to feel better again. My doctor recommended skipping the afternoon doze which was 0.5 mg. Now when I found this forum, I realized that I did not stand any chance to continue to improve.

The natural remedy rhodiola is helpful (from clinical studies) but must be administered by a neurologist. I take Klonopin and Skelaxin (as well as Methocarb and Flexaril) and they are helpful but the other treatments target the direct area of the brain and are of much more use. Speak to whoever is treating you for a referral.

I slso came to a thought that it maybe cause alcohol can dilate blood vessels but i have also tried arginine and other nitrous oxide foods and supps but not the same results

Well I just got back from seeing my dr about the myleogram I had and they pretty much just said I had from L-1 to S-1 messed up and not much they can do. Take the pills and try the therapy and message for awhile and then let us know how your doing. I had got down to 1 1/2 a day through my weening process but my back was hurting the whole time. I think I am still going to try to keep cutting back and see if I can quit when I can take a few days off work.

I am also afraid to just stop this med without tapering for fear of withdrawl,I have too much stress for too many years a go and also muscle Twitching, and just clonazepam had help me to continue my life.and now i want too much to have a child.but i am afriad of risks.in addition i am 31 years old Can you give me any advice.? I'm sure there are many women who take an anticonvulsant for epilepsy, which I know clonazepam used for so, what do these women do?

i am confused.which drug would help?should i take esctilopram10mg and clonazepam 1mg at the same time and slowly taper off clonazepam.its been 2 weeks i am on escitlopram but feeling really werid.

Want to send tons of ((HUGS)) to you Beth and I'm sorry that you are dealing with such pain and not able to find relief. I know nothing about SKELAXIN, so I can't give you any advice about that. Hopefully, someone here will be able to help. I hope the Neuro Psych appt goes well. Stick to your guns and get that plan of action!! I know it's so frustrating not knowing what to do or where to go next. Especially, since you are going through all of this pain.

Clonazepam is good for pain and sever back spasms.

Thanks LazyMoose, gosh, I took a quarter pill(800mg) of Skelaxin and it was a yummy feeling and that's what scared me. I felt really goooooood. But yeah the other day I could not sleep at all cause I had really really strong muscle spasm/twitch. Not sure what the difference is since all this is new happenings. But yeah I might do a quarter skelaxin once or twice a week here and there to help me sleep, I deserve a break I think. hehe. ordered a theracane from amazon.com.

I even asked my MD three times about the addictive potential of the clonazepam since it is a benzodiazapine, but he reassured my husband and I over and over that the dosage was negligible and would cause to adverse side effects, just boost the efficacy of the Gabitrol. Ashamed of myself!
