Some of the side effects reported vary due to different breeds & several other factors. We have 1 Rottweiler mix male & 2 rescued dogs (German Rottweiler female & American Rottweiler female). German Rotty was approx 2 y/o when rescued. She had her first seizure approx 2 months ago. Scared me to death. A month later she had another so I knew some of the signs before hand. My mixed male & American Rotty female were going crazy when the seizures occurred.

I am on 225 mg of venlafaxine for POTS. I haven't noticed any reduction of my POTS symptoms, but I haven't had any obvious side effects so I have stayed on it in hopes that I will find an addition drug/supplement that may work with the venlafaxine to reduce my fatigue and other POTS symptoms.
I want to warn you, though, that getting on venlafaxine is not too hard, but getting off of it is very difficult.
I kind of doubt it's the cerenia causing the drooling. It's more likely the stress that's causing it - a normal reaction in dogs to any kind of stress. While the cerenia can help with nausea and vomiting from motion sickness, it can't help with the mental end of it. Frequent breaks - like every 30 or 45 minutes on a long trip - can also help set the mental reset button.
The good news is that most dogs who experience motion sickness as pups tend to outgrow it with practice.
My German Shepherd was recently prescribed incurin and it has caused her not to eat and a little bit aggressive and scared... She also was running around with her hackles up and starting fights with my other dogs...She only had 3 or 4 days of it and then I took her off of it this last Sunday was her last dose...She still is not wanting to eat and not 100% back to herself? How long do the side effects last...It was taking me an hour and a half to get her to eat 2 cups of food...
On those days (when he takes two puffs) he only goes to the bathroom 4-5 times the whole day, which is great because I can take him places and get him out of the house. Does anyone know or take Desmopressin more often than one time a day??? If so how many times?? Any information would be helpful!!
The whites of the eyes turn yellow, as do the insides of the ears and the relatively hairless part of the belly between the hind legs. In these areas where the hair is either extremely thin or almost nonexistent it is much easier to see the skin, and therefore easier to tell whether or not the skin has that tell-tale yellowish color.
Maybe you could try putting a Buster Cube or other "educational" toy in with her.

Hi there, I looked on the side effects of Depakote and I didn't find anything to do with this. I've never been an angry person, nor have I really ever have I ever blasted people or my dogs. I yell at my dogs, have no patience, basically more irritability that I'm not able to control .I'm Bipolar,with mixed states, rapid cycling and have been in the last couple of months, hypomanic.
In 1998, needed to stop taking Buspar because the sound of dogs barking was driving me bonkers. I would bang on the window trying to stop the neibores dog until breaking the glass. The anxiety and depression I had and was trying to aleviate from a devorce was being linked to dogs barking and the sound of people eating. I started to then and still to this day wear paper earplugs and head phones night and day with volume blaring to block out what should be normal sounds.

Primor is an excellent skin antibiotic, and I prescribe it frequently, but unpredictable drug reactions to sulfa drugs (and many other drugs) can occur at any time during treatment, and ulcers in the ears and mouth can be one of the signs. Then in the early evening, he had a major seizure. This time, he had three of them in a row, and afterward, was back to lethargic. As money is tight because of Christmas, we had no money to take him to the vet until today. The usual side effects in canines from phenobarbital use are lethargy, polydipsia (increased thirst), polyuria (increased urination), polyphagia (increased appetite), anxiety and weight gain. From the symptoms I think your vet is probably right on the money with the diagnosis of a mass in the brain, but I doubt that the tremors signify pain because you said they are of short duration.
I believe this is one of several questions you've posted on the same subject of post tx side effects. You've had many honest reponses, most if not all positive. I'm beginning to wonder if you're looking for a reason NOT to start treatment.
With your significant scarring, this alone is a good reason to begin treatment - and many here can share the downfall and significant sx of progressing to cirrhosis.
