I have a very similar period to you except mine are on the left side always the left never the right.
I used to get periods so bad that I would vomit, scream, cry, fall over, not be able to stand for hours and then just as you said somehow I'd finally fall asleep and then i'd be okay. It was always just the first few days.
I got on birth control about two years ago now (I'm 21 i've had my period since I was 13) and my cramps have lessened DRAMATICALLY.
they have always stayed to the left and on the center of the lower spine. No further spasms have been felt on the left side of the spine since the block. The sore, aching, and rigid muscles on the left seem to be a residual effect of the typically constant muscle spasms and stabbing nerve pain that have remained in the area since the original presentation of my severe chronic pain symptoms back in 2018. Bending too far forward still triggers sharp pain in the center of the lower spine.
First of all let me say I am deeply sorry for this and I am telling you how sorry I am because I know that people do not really understand what a person with severe menstrual cramps goes through. They see it as "oh...its just your period? well that's a normal part of life" and it is not very nice. I have the same issue as you are outlining and I have had it for years. I am no medical expert so I do not want put any fear in you because each person and their body is different.
I no longer feel spasms on the right side, though the sharp, aching pain from the left side radiates over the spine to the right side when the pain is severe.
Currently, as has been the typical presentation felt for the past few years prior to the stellate ganglion injection, the majority of the pain is comprised of an underlying, constant, aching, sharp pain over the entire lower-left quadrant of my back, and muscle spasms cause a stabbing pain in random intervals over the same affected area.
I've been having these cramps now for about a week and a half mostly on my left side I feel like I'm going to start my period but its two days late me and my boyfriend's been having unprotected sex like everyday since my last period I'm hoping to be pregnant but I don't want to give our hopes up if I'm not....
Menstrual like cramps are very normal during first few weeks of pregnancy as your body is trying to stop cycle and stretching to make way for baby.. unless you start bleeding and cramps become very severe with back pain, you have pain on one side only, blurry vision etc.. then you should go to ER straight away..
regarding symptoms every women and every pregnancy is different.... give it a time you probably going to get hit by symptoms later in pregnancy..
For the last few months, I have had severe cramps that feel just like period cramps. I have a swollen gland just under my chin, and a lump on my ribs on the left side, about an inch ot two below my breast. For the last month I have also had some pain in the side of my left breast and into my armpit. There is also a swollen painful spot there,and my left arm constantly aches. I am also loosing probably triple the normal amount of strands per day your hair usually looses...
Yes, thats normal. If the pain gets severe or is sharp on one side getting worse and/or bleeding, you need to get to a & e. I get the feint cramping too throughout the day but they dont really compare to period pain...i used to get bad period pain, so i use that as my indicator. Hope you feel better soon.
when i had my misscarage i did not have surgery i had the baby naturally since then my periods have been ok but sometimes i would miss a few days and then start but this has ben the longest i have not come on my period i am getting cramps like period pain but not has bad. i am going to make a doctors appointment today and get myself checked but im frightened. or i might wait till tomorrow and do an early morning pregnancy test one more time.

I'm a 20 year old female. My period is about 2 weeks late now. It's never that late and hasn't been since my early high school years. I took one home pregnancy test a few days ago and it came back negative. My diet and level of stress is all the same as normal. But a few hours ago I've had a lower left abdominal pain (dull throbs not sharp but annoying). I've never had this happen to me before either. If anyone could please tell me what might be going on that would be great.
