It sounds more like seborrheic dermatitis that you have, That is much more common behind the ears, under hair, and on the chest than Rosacea. Rosacea and Seborrheic dermatitis sometimes occur at the same time.

I have been researching this online and think it is seborrheic dermatitis. I have been using clotrimazole cream twice daily as suggested on the JUST ANSWER DERMATOLOGY site for 3 days now. A year later I now live on a different country and colder climate, I now have eczema. Are my skin conditions related to HIV? I've never had an HIV test.

I read same type of problem here as steroid rosacea but my dr told that it is sebboheric dermatitis. I have applied daktacourt,but no luck. It is very painful.is it sebhhoreic dermatitis or something else as its not itchy at all and only arund nostrils and few inside.

I have Rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis also. But Elidel is for Eczema not Rosacea. Maybe he was using it off label for you? It does have some long term potential side effects. I would get another opinion. You may be getting rebound from going off of it. I am not sure if this drug does that. Cortisone definitely does. I use azaleic acid topical. It has worked for me for a long time. It is a prescription. You can also try low dose Doxycycline.
I’ve seen multiples dermatologists about this problem to no avail. Over the past 2-3 years, I’ve been getting these extremely itchy pimples randomly on my forehead and, on rare occasions, other t-zone areas. The areas start out very much like a hive (red, blotchy, extremely itchy skin), but, unlike hives, end up leaving a red papule with the occasional white center that stick around for days to weeks.
I do have dandruff in my hair. I was diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis by my dermatologist at the age of 21. Not knowing any better when I was younger I tried everything over the counter for acne, but I didn't have acne. I definitely do not have rosacea because I never got pustules.

Hi, I am male 36yrs old. I have had Seborrheic Dermatitis for 15yrs. I have it on my face, head, back, ears and chest. The worse area affected is my face, around my nose. I have used Steroid cream, herbal medicine, aloe vera plant and antibiotics. At present I am using Aveeno Cream and Steroid Cream 0.05%. My skin has not been clear for the last 6mths. It was initially described as seborrheic dermatitis with a bit of rosacea, then eczema. After stopping the Antibiotics the rash has come back and now appeared on my chest quite suddenly. The rash on my face however is different from my initial break out and has appeared across my cheek area instead of the naso labial folds which seem to have calmed down now.
