Avatar f tn I am 19 wks pregnant and suffer from terrible allergies this time of yr and have to use salbutamol 100micrograms inhaler. I use it up to 3 times a day. My midwife is uncertain if I can use this while pregnant and I have read up on possible effects to the baby and I am terrified. Has anyone used this while pregnant??
Avatar f tn I am not really familiar with aerocort, but I did do a little research on it. Aerocort appears to be a combination inhaled corticosteroid (ICS - as indicated by the "cort" in its name) and salbutamol (a long acting broncho dilater). This would be similar to Advair or Symbicort. You cannot be addicted to this medicine. You have a chronic disease and this medicine keeps your lungs open so that you can breathe. It is necessary for you to live. It will not harm you in any way.
1344892 tn?1276541735 thank you for your comments brooke, i also was told this by the doctor too but i have not taken my salbutamol in 3 days and are still getting these symptoms. i was told the effects of salbutamol last only a short while. thank you so much for your input, it is much appriciated.
Avatar m tn He gave me antiobitocs, mucinex, allergy meds (As a precaution, he thought it may have been caused by this but I doubt it, never had an allergy in my life), cough syrup and an inhaler. Now this inhaler is a Qvar,40 mcg of beclomethasone. It says take it twice a day. This was prescribed for what I assume to be my shortness of breathe that I was having very very often. I start to experience shortness of breathe about every 4-5 hours after a puff of it.
Avatar m tn can i give salbutamol in 1st trimister thretened abortion?

726605 tn?1231368596 Do you take these on a daily basis. Medrol is hardcore. What does your doctor say about medrol during pregnancy. I assume you mean albuterol in the nebulizer. I've taken that during pregnancy...but that's when my asthma's been out of control. Sound like the meds you are taking are "short-term". Those aren't anything you would take on a regular basis for controlling asthma. In any event...
880900 tn?1467270141 I would maybe need a squirt of salbutamol twice a week, then, but I am now needing to use it about three or four times a day. Could you tell me whether the dyspnea is heart or pulmonary system related, or has it to do with the RA? How should it be treated? Thanks so much for your help!
Avatar n tn I was told by a non medical friend to not use any over the counter drugs because this might supress the secretions that need to come out naturally? Could he have a valid point of view and what do you recommend? This discussion is related to Uncontrollable Phlegm.
Avatar f tn I would like to ask if the ipratropium inhaler is available with the combination of salbutamol and what brand?
Avatar m tn bronchodilators and caffeine in tea are both stimulants and cause a rise in heart rate - when you combine them you may get even more of a response (called syngery) then you would see from either of them alone. You could try drinking herbal teas that are caffeine free and this help stop that affect.
Avatar f tn I took her to the doctor who prescribed her Salbutamol cough syrup 3.5 mg 3 times a day saying that she has wheezing. Is it safe? It is not releiving the cough at all, already tried for one and half day. It is about the same.
Avatar n tn This means that it is not known whether buprenorphine and naloxone will be harmful to an unborn baby. Use of buprenorphine and naloxone during pregnancy may cause withdrawal symptoms in a newborn baby. Do not take buprenorphine and naloxone if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment. Contrary to what you may have heard methadone is not safe during pregnancy, it is actually more dangerous to a baby than heroin. I am not sure why doctors prescribe it but they shouldn't.

Avatar m tn This can cause bloating of stomach and consequent breathlessness. Check with your doctor for adequate control of asthma. Ventolin or salbutamol is a rescue inhaler, that means you take this when you have an episode of Asthma. There are reliever inhalers which work for up to 12 hours after taking each dose. They include salmeterol (brand name Serevent) and formoterol (brand name Atimos). Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.
