Avatar n tn I would avoid an intense sport like volleyball. I played for a while in school and it could be dangerous if played the way we did. Try to take it easy. Probably not worth the risk.
Avatar m tn today I was playing beach volleyball and fell on the sand with my palms open. and there was an abandoned needle that stock me. it really hurts. what do I do?
Avatar f tn Are you talking about volleyball in school? Usually they have a policy about athletic participation with pregnant girls - and have rules about how far along you can be and still play.
Avatar n tn I think if your body is used to it you are fine. I continued to play volleyball and workout in the gym for my first trimester. Hope you get a BFP!!
Avatar n tn m extremely active and I play volleyball around 3 hours every day and I plan to play in college. My hamstrings are not tight, most doctors are amazed at my flexibility, and have suggested I'm hyperflexible. I have tried a medrol dose pack, muscle relexers, a tens unit, a back brace, 7 months of physical therapy three times a week which included electrical stimulation, ultrasound, massage, joint mobes, strength excersizes, stretching, traction, and yoga moves.

Avatar f tn Ask your doctor. A friend of mine who's still in her first trimester was supposed to play in a softball league this summer but her doctor vetoed that so she had to withdraw.
Avatar f tn so I'm 5 weeks pregnant, and I'm on a volleyball team for about the next 5 weeks.. I asked my doctor and he said it's fine as long as I'm careful of my tummy area because it's good to stay active. I feel nervous to keep playing because of the jumping and running around. of course I'm not going to be diving on the floor and such, but what are you thoughts about this? I've heard both ways, and I don't want to risk anything.
Avatar f tn I am going to try to get into my doctor ASAP to confirm but I also play sand volleyball. I am supposed to play tomorrow. Would that hurt the baby at all? Obviously baby comes first.

Avatar f tn s already been clearly stated you can not get HIV from this and fear of a volleyball or just blood out in the open is irrational. Talk to your doctor about anxiety.
Avatar f tn If you look at professional beach volleyball players, the women are basically flat chested because they have almost zero body fat. Hormone levels, stress, weight gain, etc can all cause an increase in breast size. You can continue to develop and grow up until your early 20s, but typically you will have a very similar size chest to that of what your mom has. If your mom has large breasts, then most likely so will you. Take care.
Avatar f tn Perhaps you could play volleyball for the fun of it, but it sounds like competitive volleyball is not your best option right now. Give yourself time (something many of us wish we had done!). You can gradually add more activity over time, but you cannot fix your brain or nerve damage once done. Listen to your body and don't feel bad about resting as needed or stepping back.
Avatar f tn Was playing volleyball and I spikes the ball I didnt jump but then I felt bubbles. Im paranoid as fudge rn. Am I okay?
Avatar f tn ve had a baby bump since I was 18 weeks, and now I feel so huge. it looks like I have a volleyball under my shirt. I can hardly get up when sitting on the couch, but I'm still so excited! Sorry for the venting, but I'm sure all of yall can't wait!
Avatar m tn hello, I play volleyball, which is hard on the knees from diving to jumping all the time... a few months ago I dove and hit my knee on the groung very hard. My knee pain went away and it recently has come back. It feels like a knife goes into my knee right below my knee cap every time i jump or put a lot of pressure on it like trying to stand up. I have been icing it, but it won't go away....Does anyone 1. Know what is wrong? or 2. Know how to fix it?
Avatar f tn If the beach volleyball gal can play beach volleyball when pregnant and win the gold in the Olympics, you can certainly dance if your body is used to it.
Avatar f tn me and my boyfriend (long distance) have both admitted to each other we're virgins. we've also discovered i'm the one with more experience. he's never gotten a ******** or a hand job, etc. i'm going over to visit him for a while in the summer, i've arranged to get on the birth control pill, and had mutliple talks with my mother and experienced friends about it's use in preventing pregnancies.
Avatar f tn My question is will it harm me in any way for staying on it? I dont want to cause any more problems for myself by staying on it but evidently I lack serotonin and the paxil replaces it. Any info that you might give me would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Doggie is always safe, I'm not sure about the jumping jack though.
Avatar f tn It shoul be fine but always take precaution because semen can cause contractions, happen to me. But you are still early in the game.
Avatar f tn I would recommend you waiting till your in your second trimester to start exercising cause the baby's so small and fragile any wrong move could cause your body to try to expel the baby but it is safe as long as your body is excepting it & your comfortable don't push yourself to hard or lift to heavy I'm 25 weeks & still work out like a champ every other day
