I experienced a similar 2 hand. In the mid nineties my husband went through interferon/ribaviran 2 courses of tx. The 1st time for 6 months, a year later for 1 year. It was horrible!!! I felt so bad for him. I'm an RN (now retired) and did what I could to help him through it, which wasn't much. God he was sick! His viral load was greater after treatment than it was before.
I contacted Abbott Mexico several months ago. They have labs in Merida, Puebla, Guadalajara and Mexico City that do the HBsAG quantitative test. I got in touch with the one in Mexico City but it got to be a hassle communicating, even with Google translator since I don't speak Spanish but it seemed they were open to accepting blood samples through FedEx or UPS. It was a few hundred dollars for the shipping but the test was fairly inexpensive.

Exactly on 84th day is conclusive or recommend to do test again? I am sure here in Guadalajara, Mexico there are no 4th generation test and it is 3rd generation ELISA test.
I am now 71 and smoked for 43 years, until my first heart attack resulted in two stents in Maine, 1999. Then, I got four more stents in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 2005.
