Rozerem keeps me awake

Common Questions and Answers about Rozerem keeps me awake

rozerem

Avatar m tn s one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing. If a medication keeps you awake at night you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it earlier in the day and see if that helps. Discuss all this with them and see what they say.
Avatar n tn I am actually awake now by 8. I mean wide awake. I dont know what to do with myself with so much time awake during the day.
Avatar f tn m up in the middle of the night wide awake. Any suggestions on a pill to keep me asleep that I can ask my pdoc to try. She just gives me more klonipin and Visteral and that's not working.
736314 tn?1276884623 I am taking lunesta and guess what. I am wide awake. It usually works for me but not tonight i guess.
Avatar f tn Ambien did absoutley nothing for me. Benadryl can sometimes have the opposite effect on me and have me tossing and turning when I take more than 50 mg.'s. Since I am already taking a benzodiazepine I don't want to take another.
603015 tn?1329862973 I am aware that these are supposed to be used short term, they are not addictive but now 4 months on I am still taking them, my mood is much more settled but im not completley right yet, I have tried a few times to try and go to sleep but I am wide awake tossing and turning and I end up taking one in the middle of the night anyway. I have had the whole bath thing, no stimulents, relaxation techniques etc.. I just seem to have lost the ability to go to sleep.

Avatar f tn Hello! Which sleeping pill is stronger, Belsomra or Rozerem? I take 2 tablets of Belsomra at night for 20 mg plus 2 tablets of Donormil. Should I try Rozerem?
985832 tn?1249126599 Just when I laydown to go to sleep its like a light switch comes on and I am wide awake again. It really drags me down during the day. I do walk everyday and I take melatonin at night but even though it makes me really sleepy I never stay asleep. Help needs some zzzzzzzzzzz. I think we all know with Bipolar sleep is a must. PS This has been going on for years!!!
Avatar f tn i get sleep around 3 or 4 am. but she keeps me up with all her kicking. and she hardly does it in the day time. its like she knows i need sleep but wants to play with me and i can't I'm too tired. i know how you feel momma i hope he lets you get some kinda sleep. i sleep a lot during the day time if she won't let me sleep.
Avatar f tn d greatly appreciate any and all input and/or insight, where it be good, bad, or indifferent, or information from anyone who has done research regarding its use (if the latter is the case, please send me the URL to bookmarked articles or other medical literature, especially regarding its efficacy.) If this is just another of the same in the meek and mild category for insomniacs as Ambien and Lunesta are, it will act like a placebo for me, and therefore please do not recommend it.
7607165 tn?1395780125 @kristenC04 oh its the best I watch shows and movies keeps me busy lol
Avatar f tn Anyone else awake. Its 446 am my time. Just love this no sleep lol ;) 31wks&3days. <3 I'm bored just reading some 25-34 stories.
Avatar n tn She also has a sleep disorder that we finally saw a pediatric sleep specialist for-- now she uses a blue spectrum light every morning. Occasionally, we use Rozerem 8mg (prescribed by the peds sleep specialist) --but only occasionally when we are unable to do her light therapy. Is there any connection between sleep disorders & early adrenarche? And is this adrenarche when it is only her axillary area involved?
Avatar m tn It is relatively effective and its usual side effect being that its activating, meaning that it instead of making a person tired it can keep them awake. Quite common and happened to me as well as other people. It would help on bipolar but its doubtful it would help sleep but you could ask your psychiatrist more about this. One known option for sleep (although it has no mood stabilization properties) is the medication Rozerem that works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive.
Avatar m tn Have you tried melatonin? About the safest supplement around, and one of the most researched pharmaceutical products out there. Very small doses work best for sleep, about .5mg or 1mg. I'd rather take the real thing than a chemical variant such as Rozerem, but that's just me. They're both pharmaceutical products, and melatonin is a lot cheaper and has been used a lot longer.
1673169 tn?1316541930 I found it worked right away for me. You shouldn't take it every night though because it can then affect your own bodies ability to create melatonin. I just take it when I know I need a good nights sleep. You may also want to ask about something like seroquel to help you sleep.
Avatar m tn t induce at night but feel sleepy at day time thus disturbing my working days.I want to start with Rozerem for inducing sleep.I wish to take this medication for a month or two and discontinue and get my sleep naturally as usual. Can the sleep disorder rebound after discontinuation? I've also been taking sertraline since many years, could these two drugs interact,if yes what are the effects?
Avatar f tn doc told me baby moves more when we lay down because all the motion from moving around all day keeps baby sleepy so when we finally want to sleep ourselves baby is all wide awake! But who knows i jus knw it hurts bad!
Avatar m tn It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
Avatar f tn Last year, it did the trick, it would put me to sleep within an hour, and keep me alseep for most of the night, within 2 weeks I was able to stop taking it & get back to a normal sleeping pattern. This year I started taking the Lunesta again, & have now refilled the RX, so it's about 3 weeks on it. It will put me to sleep within an hour, but I wake up in about 4-5 hours. I'm not wide awake, but I kind of toss & turn til it's time to get up.
Avatar f tn I usually know when they are wearing off as I finally get drowsy. The only good thing is I lay awake with no pain. The pain keeps me awake all night and when I take the pills to allivate the pain , I still can't sleep. Have tried hot tea, hot baths. I get drowsy but sleep will not come. even my dr does not know what to tell me. I only sleep about 3 hours a night and this has been going on for 18 months. Anyone else with this problem?
Avatar f tn 30pm, fell asleep at about 1:00am, woke up at eleven. Oh my gosh...I feel great..All I needed was sleep. Now I feel so much stronger mentally, knowing Im gonna get sleep tonight.. I know this my seem corny to some of you, but I never had a sleep problem until I quit the hydrocodones that I was addicted to for three years. So those of you that just quit, don't give up you will get through the withdrawls and feel like yourself again. So if you want to ask me a question, please do.
737831 tn?1232095919 My dr gave me Ambien, but it did not help, so he gave me Seroquel. It is a bp med and it helps me sleep. You do need to get help asap before something happens to you. If you get a few hours a day, it just takes a little longer to affect you but straight days affect you a lot faster. Hope this helps you. The Crisis Center can provide help that trying to qualify by paperwork can't.
384099 tn?1226443429 I've been having this problem the past 4 or 5 days. Where I cannot seem to get tired at night in bed! It's annoying! But I'm not depressed... I have a little anxiety but nothing enough to keep me up all night. So I dunno... I'm laid off work for a month.. so maybe that has something to do with it... Does your mind race alot when going to bed? Do you feel depressed?
Avatar f tn However, ever since I started Lexapro it no longer does that for me. Lexapro gives me the feeling of feeling half awake and half asleep. It gives me vivid dreams too. I'd rather get off it and use Clonazepam when I need it until this stressful time of my life passes. Lexapro is not for me, but it's worked so well on other people. I actually purchased the Fisher Wallace Stimulator to help with my anxiety. Have you heard of this machine? Some people swear that it works.
Avatar m tn hi...i've since taken my self off of geodon. as a refresher i was taking 120mg and dropped down to 60 mg for a week. i've read lots of exteme withdrawal symptoms but in the 3 days i've been off i'm not experiencing anything. i'm thinking it's going to take about 2 weeks for my brain to adjust without any geodon and another 2 weeks to hopefully see if my sleep returns. would that be a good time frame to expect a change?
