Common Questions and Answers about Rozerem dosage mg

rozerem

Avatar f tn Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for your question. Questions regarding medication are best discussed with your doctor as they prescribe the medication and know your particular situation. What is your specific issue with insomnia? Rozerem seems to be best used for those who don't fall asleep easily. Is that your situation? It works on melatonin and is not supposed to be habit forming which is a great benefit. https://www.medicinenet.com/rozerem/article.
Avatar f tn I have chronic insomnia amid anxiety disorder. Can I use Rozerem at a dosage of 16 mg if 8 mg will not help?
Avatar m tn Namaste, Headaches are a common symptom of many of the psychotropic medications, but usually dissipate after continued use. This may be a week or two at the most. If they don't subside, get with your provider and let him/her know about the headaches, since they may be a sign of something else. Finally, I hope you changed the dosage of your Trazadone with the knowledge of your provider.
Avatar n tn She is currently in dosage of 25/150, 25/150, 25/100, and around 0.16 requip before sleep together with Rozerem 8mg and Zyprexa 1.25 mg. (I forgot to mention Zyprexa in previous post) But strangest thing is she becomes much more difficulty in falling and staying asleep. In theory, if the dyskinesia/teeth grinding went away, she should feel much better and more easier to get into sleep. But it does not.
Avatar n tn Can anyone let me know if Rozerem 8mg (RX sleep aid) and Prozac 20 mg (antidepressant) are safe to take with methadone (15mg daily) I am detoxing after 15 years on MMT and have slowly "tapered" my dose from 60mg daily to 15mg daily. I am having some insomnia & depression/antiety issues related to my husband being on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Just want to make sure i'm not gonna "croak" if I take the other meds.
603015 tn?1329862973 I believe according to one post I saw melatonin is not available in Canada anymore because it is unsafe. Rozerem however, is an FDA approved medication. I was informed by my psychopharmocologist that Rozerem is completely non addictive and works differently from all other known sleep aides though you could look at the medication website and ask your own psychiatrist to confirm.
Avatar f tn I have tried benadryl, ambien, triazolam for my insomnia. Currently taking clonazepam daily for anxiety. What other meds can I discuss with my doctor which are indicated for insomnia. Ambien did absoutley nothing for me. Benadryl can sometimes have the opposite effect on me and have me tossing and turning when I take more than 50 mg.'s. Since I am already taking a benzodiazepine I don't want to take another.
Avatar m tn Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours. I know I just need some sleep!
Avatar f tn I am very sensitive to most psych meds. Currently taking Celexa 1mg daily, lamictal 12.5mg daily and seroquel 50 mg at bedtime to help me sleep. I've had problems with getting to sleep and staying asleep for several years. How long can I continue to take seroquel for sleep? Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Avatar m tn these are the medications that i take now.....150 milligrams of trazadone at bedtime, 120 milligrams of geodon at bedtime, 1milligram 3 times a day of lorazapam and 150 milligrams of wellbutrin 2 times a day.
Avatar n tn e., with antihistamine chlorpheniramine 4 mg, decongestant phenylephrine 12.5 mg, and cough suppressant dextromethorphan 15 mg, each per 5 mL), then the guideline dose for a 4-year-old is one-quarter teaspoon (the one-half teaspoon dose is for age 6-11 years, while the full teaspoon dose is for ages 12 years and up).
Avatar n tn I have taken about 40 doses of 10 mg over 140 days and notice a problem with short term memory. Does this get better? How can I improve it. I am done with the stuff and think it is better to drink yourself to sleep instead if you are really desparate.
Avatar m tn i am a 53 yr old woman. my doctor put me on serequel (1-200 mg for sleep and 25 mg as needed for panic. well after 6 yrs and 150 pounds later my new doctor took me of it. i loved it for sleep, but became morbidly obese. i'm trying klonapin now but .05 mgs do not work. any suggestions?
Avatar n tn She also has a sleep disorder that we finally saw a pediatric sleep specialist for-- now she uses a blue spectrum light every morning. Occasionally, we use Rozerem 8mg (prescribed by the peds sleep specialist) --but only occasionally when we are unable to do her light therapy. Is there any connection between sleep disorders & early adrenarche? And is this adrenarche when it is only her axillary area involved?
Avatar n tn Hello. I was wondering if I could get your opinion. I was on 112 mg of Synthroid. My results were as follows: TSH .87 (.67-4.5) Free T4 1.17 I feel a little hyper. I suspect that I do better with my TSH a little higher. Would the next step be to drop down to 100 mg of Synthroid? Thank you for your opinion.
Avatar n tn my son is on 200 mg of zoloft a day. that seems like a huge amount, but the doctor says it's safe. He tried lower doses but kept asking for larger one. when the doctor said 200 was the maximum he accepted that. He does seem to be doing well, but I am worried. what chance is there of his ever getting off of it, or at least onto a lower dose?
Avatar m tn I just saw your comment which gives me some hope - I started 5 mg around 9 Feb, upped to 10 mg around 20 feb, up to 15 mg 11 March and 20 mg 6 April (10 days ago). I have seen improvement in depression but still have anxiety episodes. I also don't feel "normal" yet - so I have improvement but only say 50%. Should I continue a bit longer with the 20 mg. Doc added low dose 10 mg nortriptylene which I started last night and slept better.
Avatar n tn I am taking Lamictal, Seroquel, Klonopin, Trazadone and Lithium. My Lithium dosage is 1050 mg a day. I am so tired and the weight gain and hair falling out are just two of the most troubling symptoms. My dr. doesn't even want me on an anti-depressant which I think will help. I am missing the occasional glass of wine. Do you think it is okay to have one while on these meds? I am going to a new psychiatrist this week. Should I suggest going down on the Lithium?
Avatar n tn Hello. I was wondering if I could get an opinion. I was on 112 mg of Synthroid. My results were as follows: TSH .87 (.67 - 4.5) Free T4 1.2 (.67 - 1.76) I was feeling a little bit hyper on this dosage. I was nervous, not sleeping , etc. I think that I seem to do better when my TSH is a little higher. I already had 100 mg of Synthroid, so I started taking the 100's, with the knowledge of my doctor, but by day 3, I was crying, emotional, and not feeling good at all.
Avatar f tn My doctor put me on topamax for migraines. She didn't have samples in the office, so she just gave me a perscription for 100 mg pills and said it wouldn't be a problem to start at that dosage. I've been taking this dosage for 7 days, and think it's too much. Is it too late to go back and start taking 25 mg the 1st week, 50 the 2nd, 75, and then 100 the 4th week (I looked up how it SHOULD be taken on the medical site).
267288 tn?1256278177 Does anyone know what the equivalent dosage of Armour is to 1.25 mg and 1.0 mg levothyroxine respectively? Also, if anyone knows the equivalent Armour to 1.0 mg levothyroxine/ .25 mg Cytomel... Thank you very much in advance....
