Rosiglitazone, an old diabetes drug is active on hbsag lowering and synergistic with nucs and interferon.these are the drugs to study not stupid nucs that acts on hbvdna only making mutations.
on the contrary studies on these cheap and generic durgs are not funded by drug makers, on the contrary we see stupid doctors without trials or studies saying now that these drugs can make liver damage while it is the opposite.

this drug is same family as Rosiglitazone (Avandia) which has been foud active on hbsag and hbvdna, question is does TZD lower hbsag since decrease of hbsag inibits cancer growth too and if lowered to und eradicate hbv?
In this laboratory study, the investigators assessed the effects and toxicity of bezafibrate (a PPAR-alpha agonist) and rosiglitazone (a PPAR-gamma agonist) added (24 hours later) to cultures of HepG2 cells infected with a genotype HBV genome with no mutations in the core promotor or precore regions.
The 50% cytotoxicity concentration of rosiglitazone was almost 150 mcM and that of bezafibrate was almost 250 mcM; lamivudine demonstrated no cytotoxicity at concentrations less than 1 mcM.
They all came back normal except for my CBC, which showed anaemia and deficiency in almost everything else as well. I am on hydrochlorothiazide (water pill) and Zocor for high cholestoral. Also take Humalog and Lantas insulin (4 shots per day). Take Prilosec for GERD and a potasium pill. Also on Peri-Colace for stomach problems. Spoke with the Dr. and discontinued all pills for a few days to see if it had any effect and it did not. Still swelling. Right now about 5 pounds of water, by tonight it will be 10 pounds.

About a year and half ago I was having acrylic nails put on and the girl that was replacing the nail on my middle finger of left hand. She pried it off down to the skin in center and it bled. She put an antiobiotic on it and then the acrylic filler on top. In about a week it was hurting so bad I soaked it in a nail remover and removed it. I went to my medical doctor and she said it had ruined the nail bed and it would take it a while to heal and to use neosporin on it.

It may be worth having your son test for celiac- TTG (tissuetransglutaminase) and total IgA and possibly EMA (endomysial antibody). it is an autoimmune disorder which is treated with strict diet. The symptoms vary greatly from one person to the next. Symptoms which MAY be related: headaches, joint/back/neck ache, overall feeling crummy and the nodules. Also the fact that the multiple antibiotics didn't help.

Doctors suspect I have IBS, and also have gluten sensitivity resulting from that or celiac disease. I've been told to do EMA IgA and tTG IgA. Is there anything I should know before I do these costly tests (In Kolkata,WB,India).
