I have been taken Ropinirole for sometime now and it helps a little. As for sleep,I get very little of.
Seeking the small town, farm, slow pace and American dream of life. Digging in deep with enjoying the mild winter and active from dawn to dusk. Then this rls stopped me in my tracks and I joined, what I like to call "Zombie Walkers". Three weeks and 40ish hours total sleep and their urgent care dr gave me requip and ambian. A month later I found a family dr and she added gabapentin. The pain is unbelievable!
sometimes Ropinirole (Requip) is also used to treat the sexual side efects of ssri
Hi, Not sure about everyone else but I know that for me the restless legs is one of the worst symptoms. I told my doctor that I was struggling and he prescribed me Ropinirole tablets, one to take before bedtime. I took one last night and, fingers crossed, it seemed to work. Most of you are probably aware of this but for those who aren't, it might be worth a try.
I would like to know if there is anyother treatment or operation that would stop it, as I dread the thourght of having this for the rest of my life, Im female 46 years old, have contemplated ways of causing the lower part of my body to be paralized so I wouldnt suffer any more. Please could someone help me.
Hi, I take Ropinirole (Requip), and this mefication over the years has worked really well. But as you know what might work great for one patient might not work great for another. But maybe worth a try.
I've been dealing with a form of dysautonomia since 2006, it has now turned into pots. I'm scheduled for a pacemaker right before Thanksgiving. I wear the stockings, eat salt and massive water. I have extreme fatigue regardless of what I do...no anemia...take b12, vit d is ok..but the past 6-8 months I've experienced extreme sleepiness almost to the narcolepsy degree..my life which was already fractured due to the other horrible symptoms has pretty much come to a stand still...
You should check if you are anemic and have proper balanced diet. Lead a stress free life, have proper sleep and do regular exercise as with a good lifestyle sometimes the remissions of restless leg syndrome diminish completely.
Your physician will try an array of medicines starting from pain killers like tramadol to diazepam, clonazapam, gabapentin or ropinirole.
I would suggest you to go to a neurologist for proper follow up.

I was dx with RLS after feeling like my legs had a mind of their own....ropinirole 2x a day.
So they have in ropinirole (I forgot how to spell it) but 1mg doesn't seem to be working. :( what other meds can I request?
Early on I was diagnosed with primary paradoxical syndrome, but was negative at a later date...I take Midodrine, (rencently started) and gabapentin, baclofen, ropinirole which I have been on these 3 for years
What is causing this is extreme sleepiness?? I cannot function...any meds or test?? I'm open to suggestions to help me function...
