I have had RLS for about 2 years, and it has gotten progressively worse. I take 1mg of Requip in the morning, and NOW (I just started) I take 1 mg. in the afternoon, and 2mg. at night. Now I'm finding that my right leg is SERIOUSLY worse than the other leg, and I can't even sit for more than 15 minutes without having to move around and stretch and the whole nine yards. This, after taking all my meds. I don't know what to do, isn't 4 mg. kind of a large amount of Requip?
Well, no not three years ago I didn't even suffer from anxiety. It was just mostly depression from like deaths in the family. My Xanax is 1mg, my wellbutrin is 150mg XL. I'm sorry I didn't provide much information previously...Honestly..I didn't think anyone would help me.
I went to rehab on 3/8.. The tapered me off with a short coarse of suboxone...I had my last sub 2mg Saturday 3/15... I came home 3/17 and started having withdrawals 3/19!! Ugh...all the classic withdrawals but this one (crawlies) I can't take much more of! Please let me know if this will end????

Any advice or confidence it will end will help! I truly feel like it won't go away and the only way to fix it is backwards!
our father who is 78 is starting to hallucinate he was hospitalized about a month ago for pneumonia.he was also taking requip for his restless legs,the doc. took him off of requip because of side affects 4 days ago. we dont know if that could be the cause of his condition or not,he also had a cat scan of the brain, it was normal.he sees people that are not there, he realizes later that it is not real. he is getting depressed and scared,we dont know what to do anymore.
I am a 55 yo white male who suffers from depression and moderate anxiety/ADD. Have been on Wellbutrin 300 XL for the last 5 yrs.and went from 223 to 158, waist size 40 down to a 32 (haven't been 32 since teen ager). In addition I take Requip for restless leg syndrome and AndroGel for hormone replacement (very low testosterone). I think that those 3 meds have contributed to the weight loss.
About 3 days ago my doctor added wellbutrin 150 mg XL for four days then 300 mg XL after that to help with my depression following the loss of my dad. My question is I only have about 6 days more of the xanax will i be addicted after taking them for that short of a time? I never take them during the day. I am afraid to stop until I see how the 300 mg of wellbutrin in gonna effect my sleep.
Until late August my BP was generally140/75 but since then it is higher and despite 2 months of titration ( enalapril in several dosages) and adding 2mg Cardura to twice daily enalapril and 50 mg Toprol XL, it just fluctuates wildly during the day, and day to day, seemingly without regard to enalapril dosages being doubled, tripled, quadrupled or reduced.
I checked myself into detox where they used meth. The day after I left detox the doc in the detox center started me on 2mg Sub. I called him that night and he said to take 2 in the morning. My prescription finished in about 15 days. I started having tingling in my hands and feet and I cant stop moving my legs. When this start I went to a doc and he has been prescibing me different meds. Klonopin, Clonodine, Requip.
This result met with little concern. After diagnosis RLS 10/07 started Requip. Worked like magic from first .Actual RLS symptoms abated, bad wakings CEASED. Was at 2 mg nightly. End 1/08 small weight gain, minor edema. Short of breath. Suddenly symptoms increased.Gained more than 25 lbs in 10 weeks.Feet/ ankles/ fingers/abdomen terribly swollen. All sorts of tests including kidney,liver,congestive heart failure. No answers. Back to neuro.
You are right, most people find it difficult to come of Suboxone at 2mg, but it is possible if you taper it down to 1mg and then continue titrating it down to as little as 1/2mg, 1/4mg and even 1/8mg. One of the patients in our clinic, who we had to detox from Suboxone, was so addicted, that no matter how far down she titrated this drug she could not get off. At one point she was literally just licking the 1mg strip, but she could not give it up.
Besides Mirapex, the other medications that are approved to treat Restless Legs Syndrome are Neurontin, Requip and Neupro. I recommend speaking to your doctor about these medications to see if one may be appropriate for you.
I've got severe RLS 24/7 and have been taking Requip for the past several years, Mirapex before that. It's gotten worse lately so the doctor had me go cold turkey 5 days ago. He gave me Klonopin to take at night, but it doesn't do anything other than make me even more tired. I managed to get 6 hours sleep on day 4, but that's it for the whole week. The doctor says that I can't go back on the dopamines (Requip) since they have started augmentation (making the RLS worse).
I'm on 2mg of Ativan a night for sleep, I think I'm starting to see a pattern that if I miss a dose 1 night my body starts to have flu like symptoms, skin feels like it's burning, body is shaking anxiety is off the charts. Am I sick or going through withdrawal? From 1 night??
My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
