It is supposed to be worse after long night without sinemet (requip 0.125 is given every other night and no significant distinguish between with and without it) Sinemet suppose to make motion better and it DID make her better before. Or Dyskinesia completely overridden others (but the Dyskinesia is happened in the jaw/tongue and I don't see any tremor in legs/feet)
I tried to find a logic explanation, but no luck! Can this imply sinemet is no good for her anymore?
But for the past week I have been really concerned because my chest has been tight at times and I can feel like an extra beating in my neck and head and it goes away. But it is beginning to happen more and more frequently even just after a week, that I am concerned. I am on a lot of medication for the seizures, migraines and from the past, the medical issues with the reproduction issues.
I have taken 3 baths, laid in the floor with an electric blanket and heating pad wrapped around my leg. I just took my 2nd Requip pill for the night. Slathered my leg with the cream I bought.
What usually works is not. If this would go away I would fall asleep like that. Right now I am holding my leg straight up in the air. I am so tired.
Just whining. This is killing me. Plus I am sneezing tons and really gassy. Stomach is fine.
I'm glad you found something that worked. RLS was the worst for me too. Ropinirole is sold in the US as Requip. It was originally prescribed for Parkinson' Disease and then it was discovered that it works for RLS. Keep going forward. It will be over soon.
My current sleep doctor feels that Sinemet, a dopamine replacement, should be reserved for use after dopamine agonists such as Requip and Mirapex are no longer useful.
I can give you a few hints on optimizing the effectiveness of your Sinemet rather than keep raising dose: No protein to eat unless long enough before dose for the food to have already passed thru the small intestine. Small amout of starchy food food can help when taking med, but no large amounts of food before taking the med.
It sounds like you have been diagnosed with RLS and requip worked for you well until it was determined to be causing side effects, and you were switched to Sinemet. One known side effect of Requip is swelling in the legs; it sounds like you had an extensive evaluation for all the symptoms you began experiencing after January 2008.
Sinemet works well for RLS symptoms, but has a higher risk of eventually causing what is called augmentation, or the occurrence of symptoms earlier in the day.

I do know that taking Requip itself can cause hallucinations. But he's been taken off it. Now, stopping Requip can cause confusion. So, I don't know what to make of it. I do recall when I had pneumonia, I was out of my mind, and I have never taken Requip. I suppose it's possible he's having a combination of fever hallucinations, left-over Requip hallucinations, and withdrawal confusion. Any way you look at it, he's having a very hard time.
I took requip for about five years - worked, no problem. Then about 4 months ago, I started getting, out of the blue and for no obvious reason, anorexia, nausea, and finally light stomach ache. After a lot of investigative stuff, including an EGD, my gastroenterologist discovered the cause: I had become allergic to requip. Just a note of caution.
The first doctor I consulted told me it was Dystonia and would most likely be progressive and get worse. After reading about dystonia I heard that it can be secondary to MS and some other neurological disorders, so I rang my neuro as I don't have a MS diagnosis but there was a big question mark as to if I might have MS.
My father has had RLS for years and taking Sinemet to control it. Lately he has been acting differently almost like he has no control over his arms, mouth and legs. Can taking Sinemet for a long period of time cause Parkinson or similar disorders?
I have minimal symptoms - occasional palpitations only. During my second pregnancy I was asked to have an echo and this and several others during and after my pregnancy identified low ejection fraction of 44%. Is this same as heart failure. If so is that the WPW may have caused the heart failure and if i get the arrythymia treated would this mean the heart failure might resolve?? I am not overweight, do not smoke or drink (much!).
I'm currently on a detox going crazy, im emotionel all over the place i feel lonely sooooooo lonley, hate it! Don't know how much more i can take of this but i must keep going just hard you know! i can't sleep and the restless legs are unbearable, any advise on what i could use for restless legs?? requip during the day and 2 mg. requip at night along with klonopin and other sleep aids. I just split my head open walking around the house unawares. 6 stiches and broken lamps. I asked my doc about early onset of parkinson's.........is this what they go thru? I haven't slept a 7 hour night in at least 8 years. No bs. Usually I sleep 2-4 hours. I'm trying to get some barbituates from overseas because I'm so desperate. Gosh, I could relate to you.
This is a long shot. I know it is. But do any mommies on here have wolff Parkinson white syndrome? I just would like yo know if your symptoms have gotten worse or returned. If so, what are they? I feel so crummy with this one cuz it has come back strong and is making pregnancy harder.
m totally becoming homeless and the doctors are trying to find me any relief. Requip and gapapintin is what I been on for years and other types including patches Nupro to little help and now Requip is to little help and a couple hours of sleep night after night I worry is this. I'm off work do to showing positive COVID-19 with that being said you see I'm battling some difficult things.
