I had the Mirena IUD inserted September of 2011and removed mid October 2012 because it was slipping out of place. I spotted just a day or two with both insertion and removal. but absolutely nothing in between. I started Nuvaring the week after Mirena was removed (per docs orders). I was told my period would regulate its self within a few months. Well, here I am 10 months later after Mirena has been removed and I have yet to even see a spot of blood.

Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. At 8 dpo I started spotting and have been spotting brown and red ever since.

So I got my nexplanon removed march 4th, I went and got the nuvaring. Needless to say I forgot it in my car for a few days had intercourse with hubby then remembered I had not put in my nuvaring... dumb me I know!!! Now for almost a week ive been having pregnancy symptoms.. like double the intensity I had with both my children. Ive been readin online and it says to effectivly switch from implant to nuvaring it needs to be in for 7 days before implant removal.

Well this is the second time ive taken my ring out on time and i have a brown period with decent sized clots. Im having normal cramps and back pain but there is very little red blood. is this normal?

Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.

If the nuvaring was not remove until 4week after insertion, when removed should you get you cycle right way? And do you count that as your normal cycle?

So I had my birth control that was placed in my arm 2 years ago removed 2 weeks ago today. I was placed on the nuvaring in which I inserted the day I had my other birth control removed. I had unprotected sex with my husband three days after insertion. I am cramping and having breast tenderness. Is there a chance of pregnancy? Do you know if anyone that has gotten pregnant while switching over to the nuvaring?

I was on the Nuvaring for a couple years and when I came off of it I had all the classic signs of pregnancy. I took 4 pregnancy tests but they all came up negative. I told my aunt I was convinced I was pregnant and she told me that when she had come off of the Nuvaring, she experienced the exact same thing. She said it lasted about 3 weeks and then went away and to not get my hopes up. Sure enough 3 weeks after I stopped using it, my symptoms stopped.

On dec 28th I inserted a nuvaring on what I thought was my first day of my period, i ended up spotting for 3 weeks after, everyday... I removed the ring 2 days early. I have been bleeding enough to need a pad since yesterday and today I passed a 2 inch by 2 inch flat piece of fleshy colored tissue, it was on the toilet paper when I wiped.

Its been 11 days since I had sex the first time while on it and took a test today and it was neg. I have no tender breasts or any weird discharge like most complain of within the first several days. Also no cramping or spotting to indicate implantaiton.

Nuvaring takes a month to be fully effective in your body, and you should have used back up birth control the entire time. Your odds are roughly the same as any other couple trying to concieve. Take a pregnancy test with first morning urine.

I was due for my period the 23rd and never started. I spotted two days. The 30th and 31st and that was it. My periods are always regular and always on time. I've been on this birth control for several months now ans it's always been regular. As of Sunday I've been nauseous and vomiting after eating. I had the birth control removed on October 23rd and had unprotected sex 2 hours before removal and did not get the nuvaring in until 2 hours after removal. About a week ago I was diagnosed with an ovarian cysts, and I was told it may make me miss my period. Unfortunately, I had been planning on starting the nuvaring this cycle on the first day of my period. Can I still use the nuvaring even though it is passed the first day of my cycle?

I removed my NuvaRing on January 9, had a period and then decided to ttc. Went to the dr on Jan 29 because of cramping/ heavy feeling uterus earlier in the week and it was determined that I had been ovulating. On Feb 4 I had some slight light brown spotting and cramping. My OB thought I had endometriosis for a while too because I had similar symptoms and could not take the pill because then I was ALWAYS on my period(no fun). She did an u/s and found nothing, and prescribed me the patch. I actually had no issues on the patch, but silly me just stopped putting it on and now I am 20weeks!

i was on the depo for like 3 years and then stopped that in october and went to the nuvaring. i had like 2-3 periods on the nuvaring but i was so inconsisent with it i like screwed up my body and decided just to take it completely out and regulate my body aswell as try to get pregnant.

d like the Nuvaring, you get your period and insert it for 3wks, remove and repeat the process! Very easy, and not noticeable during sex. It helped me until I was ready to get pregnant. After babies born I'm going back on it!

I guess I should start at the beginning. I was on Nuvaring and was always regular (even when not on BC), I stopped Nuvaring Oct of 2015 due to having bad migraines, my gyn and I wanted to see if it was the cause. Still had them, so in February of 2016 I restarted it. I had a period the last week of Jan (was getting them every 2-3 weeks due to coming off of it). I had it again the week of Feb 2. I had protected sex Feb 5th and was still lightly bleeding then.

I've been looking into an IUD, never had the patch personally (was afraid it'd fall off or something) but I know I wouldn't recommend the implanon/nexplanon implant or Nuvaring, the implant causes crazy side effects and Nuvaring doesn't stay in for anything!
