Avatar n tn For the long-acting form, metformin ER, the starting dose is metformin ER 500 mg once daily, and the maximum dosing is metformin ER 2000 mg once daily (or metformin ER 1000 mg twice daily).
Avatar f tn Hopefully, the Morphine ER works the full 12 hours for you. If not there are many people that take ER meds every 8 hours instead of every 12 hours. If you are finding that you experience a lot of breakthrough pain throughout the day, you may need a titration in your ER dose.

541953 tn?1262586226 Hi, Iknow it has been a few years since your post, i was wondering how you are doing on the Opana ER. I am switching from Opana 30 mg ER to Morphine 60 mg ER.The Opana gave me side effects, dizziness, being in withdrawl if I missed a dose, and it did not help my chronic pain.. I have tried many ER drugs and I am having a hard time finding many of them. Plus my breakthrough meds are also hard to find.

Avatar n tn He received 10 mg morphine in the ambulance, then 6 mg dilaudid, 4 mg zofran, and 1 mg ativan in about an hour. He weighs 190 lbs and is 6 feet tall. He suffered cardiopulmonary arrest. Could this combination of drugs have been the culprit? He received narcan and cpr and was resuscitated, thankfully. Some docs believe it was narcotic induced and others say it was a vagel down. Can you explain this?
Avatar f tn I am on 15 mg morphine er every12 hours for 2 years and it does not help like it use to.My doctor said we could go on Hysingla ER for a few months than back on the morphine. The decision to do anything is up to me but I am very hesitate because I never heard of this drug,is it going to stop any withdrawals and is it even good for pain.
Avatar f tn 9 weeks. I had to go to the ER YESTERDAY because when i wipe i saw red/pinkish blood in toilet paper. The doctor did an ultrasound and said baby looked fine ( he/she even moved for us). The doctor also did a pelvic exam and said that everything looked fine. She also told me that 25% of woman bleed during pregnancy.. has anyone else had bleeding?
Avatar m tn I switched from effexor to wellbutrin a year ago but couldnt drop the last 8 mg quarter pill of effexor. I stopped the other day and felt very emotional and angry. The thing is I am under great financial pressure and didnt get a job I applied for that day so it is hard to tell. My question is could 8 mg have any real effect?

Avatar m tn I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 due to a 7.5 A1C test. First question: during the last 2.5 months, I have been in pain and stressing from a herniated disc. It was actually the pre-surgery screening that caused the A1C test to occur. On top of that, for 10 days about 6 weeks ago I was on Prednisone. The docs seem to be discounting all that and believe the A1C still to be accurate. At the office, my first reading 2 hours after breakfast was 132.
1434665 tn?1289855538 30 p.m. Took 1/2 dose (4 mg) at 8:30 a.m. yesterday. Threw it up. Did not take any since. Messed me up. Not looking to get on anything again, just thought it would take the sluggishness away and as their ad says, make me "normal" again. Threw the oxy's away. Ended up in the ER this a.m. because of heart palpatations. They think it's anxiety from coming off oxys. Not doing the suboxone thing. Gave them to ER doctor. He said I had a bad reaction to it.
1331804 tn?1336867358 He titrated my opioid medications up by 60 mg morphine equivalent. I was taking 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER plus 35 mg of percocet a day. He switched me to 30 mg of Opana ER every 12 hours with up to 25 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain. My old medications equaled 120 mg of morphine equivalent a day and my new medications equal 180 mg of morphine equivalent a day from just the Opana ER!!! That is a 60 mg increase!!!

Avatar m tn I do not need to get a buzz from the meds. So I have these Ultram ER - extended release @ 100 mg; one pill per day. Has anyone used these before and what about them? BTW - I have cut down on travel considerably but this has been going on and off since April and surgery in June...I have to work.
Avatar f tn Hello, This is my first post. I am a cronic pain sufferer, I have a degenerated disk in my back (L5 I think?) plus arthritis in that same area. I have not had surgery yet but look forward to the day when I am pain and pain-med free. Here's my question: I have been on Percocet (10 mg 4 times per day, 1 pill every 4 hours) for about 4 months, before that 3 10mg pills per day. My dr. just switched me to Morphine Sulfate ER 30 MG, 2 tablets per day (one every 12 hours).
225237 tn?1333138999 I need some advice, I'm on metformin er 500 mg and my sugar levels have been doing good but for the past feed days I just haven't felt right. Avatar f tn She is doing much better and her chemistry levels went down considerably from her initial tests. I would like to know Rehmannia 8 is a lifelong supplement to be given safely now that she is doing better? Also, I was giving her Coq10 (60 mg) and would like to know if its meant to be given every day or every OTHER day or...?
733588 tn?1242932059 Hello, Everyone I'm new here. I was diagnosed with BP 5 years ago. In those five years I've been on alot for different medications. Depakote ER worked the best. I was on it for three years or more. Now I'm on Stavzor which is working just as well. My question is for several month I've been back and forth to the doctor for another problem. I've become anemic and they can't find the source of the bleeding or the reason why I'm anemic.
Avatar f tn I've been constapaided for 8 days now I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow. I have tried everything & I still can't use the restroom. My stomach hurts so much & the pain wakes me up at night. If I go to the ER do y'all think they would do something for me?
Avatar m tn I have never understood why my dr would switch me to the 10 mg opana er 3 times a day when i was only taking 3 hydros a day. It was helping my pain and i had not increased my doseage in about 2 years. Do you think the opana is stronger than the hydrocodone 7.5? It seemed to affect me a lot differently.
