9062499 tn?1426957962 Ouch: getting annoyed with these varicose veins. They wont let me stand for more than 10 mins. Any mommies out there who knows how to deal with them? I would really appreciate it.
Avatar f tn The doctor said that it's normal during pregnancy. It isn't varicose veins, it's just more blood flowing down there.
1907180 tn?1329450777 The unfortunate reality is that most pregnant women will have some degree of failure in their leg veins at least during the pregnancy. This is due to multiple factors that all produce challenges. The volume of circulating blood increases substantially. Hormones that allow the uterus to stretch and expand also allow leg veins to do the same, making the valves in these vessels incompetent.
1840402 tn?1355432565 It sure sounds like a varicose vein to me. Unfortunately those are super common during pregnancy. As long as your not feeling pain in your leg I wouldn't worry about it :) You could always call your doctors office just to be 100% Try not to worry, I got them too during my 1st pregnancy.
Avatar f tn This is my fourth pregnancy I will have to term. I know that every pregnancy is different. I know all about hemorrhoids, varicose veins in the legs as well as spider veins. I didn't realize until this pregnancy that u can get vericose veins in ur vaginal area. I was wonder if other mom have had this or have this now.
Avatar f tn I have varicose veins in my knees terrible while pregnant and toward the middle and end of my 2nd pregnancy I had pain and pressure and was told it was basically from varicose veins around my "area"... The only relief was delivering baby... I am on my 3rd pregnancy now am 25 weeks and have not had the pain yet...
Avatar f tn She ended up going to her doctor n was told that that was exactly what it was.. varicose veins that happen during pregnancy. Due to bad circulation because of the added pressure on her pelvic veins. As soon as she delivered it went away.
Avatar f tn Anyone else having trouble with them? They run in my family and I got them for the first time halfway through my first pregnancy and now in my second pregnancy they are "flared" up. I also started back at work do I'm on my feet a lot. I wear compression socks which help but is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain?
Avatar n tn Varicose veins during pregnancy aren't permanent, but some may linger after pregnancy. The best way to keep them from becoming permanent is to exercise, such as walking and stretching. The key is not to become stagnant, sit or lay around, causing a lack of circulation. The best to you and your pregnancy!
419126 tn?1242412170 i seriously never thought of this. should i be worried? i had the varicose veins with my first pregnancy as well.... and i never had an issue during labour. my crotch is almost always swollen and has been for months... so im assuming that i have a lot of varicose veins. has anyone ever had a vein burst?
Avatar f tn I was also told this Varicosities of the uterus may require hysterectomy for relief. Sometimes congested pelvic veins can be embolized but that depends in part on which veins are affected. Presacral neurectomy might also potentially reduce pain.
Avatar n tn Note that when you have laser treatment it destroys the veins so the blood will go to other veins and the problem will most likely return.
Avatar n tn I used them to try to cut back on swelling during my first pregnancy and they helped with that. I've heard they are great for varicose veins, but can't say from personal experience. I've seen them at CVS, I'm pretty sure.
Avatar f tn No, they are more of a cosmetic issue, but then to pop up during pregnancy because our bodies are pumping extra blood through our system.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are painful, I would mention it to your doc as they will be able to tell the difference between them and blood clots, I'm nlt sure that blood clots are usually visible, but you are def better to get them checked out. There are treatments for varicose veins in injection form which really hell, but I'm not sure if that could be done while you are pregmant. Your doc will be able to advise best.
Avatar f tn this is my 5 pregnancy i always have them during my pregnancy they get bigger once u r also doctors always say it normal when you have baby they go away and they do..
Avatar n tn d been having the pain for years, because I have never seen him WHILE in pain. If you have varicose veins anywhere else (like the legs) you'll know the exact deep aching un-ignorable pain that it causes... and that it's the exact same horrible pain in your crotch/upper-inner thighs. The worst part? They can't do anything for me until I'm done having children... which is who knows when.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if varicose veins will diminish after pregnancy especially in genitals?
463595 tn?1333997222 They are veins that hurt so bad when pressed upon that it can paralyze your thoughts and whatever else you were doing. They are veins on the rectum that swell up related to pregnancy or constipation.
Avatar f tn I'm on my 4th pregnancy And I started getting them in my 2nd pregnancy. The veins started to get more visible around my right ankle and I don't know how to explain it but on the back of my right calf I ended up get something looking like a small bunch of grapes due to the veins. And believe me now my veins r so much visible and feel really bumpy and a lot painful. I can't stand for a long periods of time and can't even do do my house chores.
5915949 tn?1396188227 When I sit down to use the bathroom I have a huge varicose vein that hurts badly like its gonna bust open and I'm only 20wks.
Avatar n tn Few predisposing factors for developing varicose veins are prolonged standing or sitting, chronic constipation, menstrual cycle, birth control pills/estrogen replacement therapy, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, pregnancy etc.It may not be possible to determine the exact cause of your symptoms without a detailed evaluation. Lifestyle changes and certain medical procedures can help in relieving some of the symptoms. The goals of treatment are to relieve symptoms, improve complications.
Avatar f tn I have the same thing and have found out it's varicose veins down there...
Avatar f tn You can get varicose veins down in that general area.
Avatar f tn Oh Im so sorry to say this but unless you have them removed with a laser the swelling will go down after delivery but they will never go away. I got them with my 3rd pregnancy and with my fourth pregnancy they werent that bad and now they hurt and are like bulging out of my skin. I only have them on my right leg but theyre embarrasing.
